Oh geez. I wanted to just improvise an answer and then I realized: My apartment literally is a perfect description of everything me.
But it wouldn't show the compassion I feel inside for every feeling being, and my intents to help other beings in the world. It would encapsulate perfectly what I did and do, but not what I wish or dream for others.
But it would definitely tell the story of a man being loved by many people.
Say your bedroom / apartment / house / workplace were suddenly perfectly preserved for future generations, a la Pompeii, King Tut's Tomb, or the Motel of the Mysteries. What would future archaeologists (from a different culture) draw from this discovery? (Wrong answers not required, but very welcome.)

This is now deeply confusing to me because I literally am like Steven (ffs, we even share names!), but I don't want to be like Steven.
Every day I'm trying to be less like Steven. Please tell me that there are women out there who like Steven's who wish that they could be Eric's.
Guys I have a confession: I have a crippling fat crush on Steven Hyde and will only date guys that resemble his personality (but more mature and no cheating)

Im in the middle of Season 3 and I just have to say it, finally:
I don't like Hyde.
He's basically the only character who is always intentionally cruel towards others. He always gets the others into trouble. He treats Jackie like crap, really, like crap, and sabotages his "friends" at every opportunity.
I felt really bad for him because he could've gotten a better life with the girl who went to New York, but Eric talked him out of that - and then his mom left him right after.
But even my sympathy reaches an end, and he has just done nothing redeeming so far. He's selfish, he's cruel, and he's acting with intent. Not out of stupidity, nativity, or fear.
No, he enjoys other people's misery.
It's only fitting that Danny Masterson played him.

@thatseventiesbitch Wait a second - did the actors and actresses of That 70's Show all grow up to become like the people they played?
How Danny Masterson went so off the rails, for example?

I only just now understood that Laurie, Eric and Hyde are supposed to represent the rich, middle and poor class in America and that Red stands for the US government - and then Kitty shows how the government should act regarding different social issues.

Hyde. Jackie & Kelso are blabbermouths who would tell everybody. Eric and Donna would accidentally slip up. Fez...he's Fez. True neutral.
But Hyde would use the knowledge of my secret for personal gain, entertainment, scheming and plotting. Cannot trust this guy.

T70S Community: Have you ever watched the show and flipped the genders in your mind? Lots of story lines suddenly get super dark.

I like how they mixed up roles. Bumi is now the one who's bitter and only changes his stance when he sees a piece of jewelry (bison whistle) - in the OG, that was Pakku with the necklace.
Kyoshi got the part of Roku, Roku got the goofiness of Gyatso and Bumi, Kuruk got the part of Kyoshi.
And the actors of Zuko and Sokka are perfect to show young men the errors of their ways and how to be better men.
The live action Avatar slaps.
Sure, some things are a little different, but adaptions always are. Going in thinking it was going to be a 1:1 of the cartoon is either silly or bad faith. I implore you to remember that you first watched the original ATLA when you were a kid, and therefore may have rose-colored glasses on regarding its pitfalls.
The new ATLA is a genuine good time and the actors are great. The stakes feel real, and it's so cool seeing this setting brought to life.
The naysayers are just the vocal minority. Even Rotten Tomatoes says the show is dang good. So give it a chance. Go in with an open mind. If you start episode 1 with the primary intent to pick it apart before it's even begun, I think maybe you missed the point of the original, no?

Omg I didn't realize until now that Azula is a perfect example of brainwashed right-wing extremist women, as are Mei and Ty Lee. They are the coping personalities many young women in right-wing households adopt!
Holy crap these shows are amazing.
Avatar: The Last Airbender is a manual for young hateful men to leave the fascist and extremist scene.
It would be nice if you kept that in mind when you criticize the Netflix adaption. The more criticism, the more likely the show doesn't get renewed, and the less exposition the show gets.
It's supposed to reach the screen of confused, young men, brainwashed by right-wing extremism, to help them see the error of their ways and how to change.
Pls respect that.

I advise you to give it an immediate rewatch after finishing S1. Several scenes recieve a new context that way.
