These lipsticks are long lasting and the color payoff is amazing.
They are also a bit cheaper than my other lipstick post [ X ]
Whether you’re cosplaying or just looking for colorful lipstick then I would really recommend Coloured Raine. You can check them out on Instagram herefor pictures of  people wearing their lipsticks.
Also, they are cruelty free! <3

As a well-known technique, satin-stitching is one of the nicest ways to “applique” details onto your costume.
I’m not stating anything revolutionary here! However, everyone’s process can differ a bit, so perhaps my method will expose a different way to accomplish this technique. When adding certain kinds of details, satin-stitching is my preferred go-to method. If you’ve never heard the term before, satin stitch is basically a very tight zig-zag stitch that creates a nice solid line of “embroidered” thread. Not only does it add a nice, finished (and professional!) look to your costume, it is also very secure and durable. The time and effort is worth it!

how to sew a sailor uniform : part 1, sewing the top
Hi! Some lovely anons asked me how I make my sailor uniforms for my DR costumes, so I decided to finally make a post about it! For reference, I use patterns from two Japanese sewing books: Cosmode’s 仮想衣装 and すぐに作れるcos衣装. The latter has a fitted seifuku pattern that I use for all of my Danganronpa costumes in order to achieve the flared effect around the hips! I pattern my own pleated skirts, which I’ll explain in the next post.
I can’t promise I’ll be able to explain everything relevant since I’m assuming basic sewing and pattern knowledge in order to keep this as brief as possible, so please send me an ask if you have any further questions! If you have any character-specific questions, feel free to send me an ask as well!
Also, as a fair warning, I use a fair amount of tools that people might not have on hand, such as a rotary cutter. I include suggestions on how to get the same outcome without those tools, but I can’t promise it’ll be as neat or look the same.

how to make a sailor uniform : part 2, sewing the pleated skirt
► part 1: sewing the top
This post will be a bit shorter than the other one since it only covers sewing the skirt! There are other ways to sew a pleated skirt, but the way I sew mine allows me to conceal the zipper inside of a pleat fold so the skirt looks smooth all the way around.

How to take your wig from gross to great!
This isn’t a new method at all, but instead my results using this tutorial.
While the before shot is pretty terrible photo quality to begin with, you can see the wig is basically a ratty, gross-looking mess.
Find a tank or bucket and empty a capful of fabric softener into it (more softener if your wig is longer).
Add enough water to submerge the wig, and make sure to flip it inside out before you put it in the water. Swish it around to make sure it’s saturated, and then let it soak for a few days. I left mine is for a little over two days, but I would suggest leaving it in closer for the five days the original tutorial suggests.
Lay the wig out on a towel to dry. I didn’t wash out the fabric softener, and when it was damp instead of dripping, I put it on a wig stand.
After it’s completely dry, brush through it with a wig brush, or at least a brush with wire teeth. Plastic teeth will create static and no one wants that.
If you need a wig brush, try checking out beauty stores. Failing that, you can usually find wire brushes at pet stores, and they work as well as any wig brush.
Spray lightly with dry shampoo or sprinkle with talcum powder. Brush your wig again after a few minutes to help disperse the powder and keep your wig from looking chalky. You may experience a small amount of shedding during the brushing process, but it shouldn’t be anything too severe.
And there you have it!

Having problems finding a lipstick color for your cosplay? Look no further. I just found someone’s video tutorial on how to make lipsticks out of crayons. In the video she says that she found out that all of her favourite lipsticks had lead and that she found out that she could make lipstick out of lead free crayons. The entire time I was watching this video, I thought that it would work amazingly for someone looking for some cerulean blue lipstick for Vriska or Jade green lipstick for Kanaya or maybe some other cosplay character who has a weird lipstick color. In the video she also says that you could mix crayon colors to make weird colors.
