idk if you ever thought about continuing The Distance and the Time Between Us but i was wondering does the story bounce between when they are reconnecting and 2016 when they are first meeting?

I am so sorry it's taken me a bit of time to answer....and thank you so much for your note! I absolutely do think about continuing with that fic, and I cannot tell you how grateful I am to know there's a little pocket of readers out there that liked it enough to send in an ask.

Just a little backstory on the singer x William, what it was SUPPOSED to be (lol) is a slow burn series that showed the reader/singer taking a break and seeing if a relationship might be rekindled between her and William. I then wanted to introduce their backstory from when they first met, and how their individual paths somehow would lead them back together. They were never in a full-fledged "ship" of any kind...but just had this pull towards one another whenever the other one was in their orbit. I ended up realizing - holy shit, this is waay bigger than I thought, so I impatiently rolled out two one shots that put the cart before the horse so to speak - and now, it's just a bit of a mess. I was brand new to Tumblr and just thought hey - I'll get these out because it was what was in my head at the time and well...there it lies 🫤

So I do have a plan in my head for the whole singer x Willy storyline - once I get a few other blurbs out of the way, I'd like to get back to this and see what I can pull off.

For what it's worth - I really do appreciate you reading these (and trying to make sense of my self-diagnosed ADHD brain).

Oh wow, Nonnie - I'm kind of at a loss for words because my singer x William stories seem like such a distant memory to me now💔 Yet, your message and a few other anons whom have written in about those singer fics do inspire me to work out a revival storyline. I completely messed up the timeline from the onset with my little one shots like the Homecoming and Toi et Moi but I'm sure there's a way to fix it all.

I can't say when but I honestly would like to try and breath some life back into the singer x William story....truthfully it's the ongoing saga that lived in my head for the longest time and I would love to get it out of my skull and see what else might come of it.

As ever, your message is so appreciated and I thank you so much for giving these stories a chance.

You see, this is so kind and so motivating at the same time. Thank you for taking the time to send this in—it truly means a lot. There are so many incredible storytellers in this space, and all I can hope for is that there will always be somewhere for people to share what excites them—and for others, like you, to reflect that energy back by simply doing this. I’ll admit, I do get discouraged at times. But until I run out of ideas or my imagination stops working, I’m probably just going to keep showing up—whether it’s continuing a story or posting a new fic idea. ok so idk if you’ve seen the tiktok’s where the nhl invites nfl players to the games and have them mic’d up for there reactions but i was thinking about willy x singer and it would be so funny if the nhl had her mic’d up (i assume once there public the nhl would kind of do like the nfl did taylor swift) and posted her reactions to a game

I'm so sorry that it's taken me so long to answer this! I recently started a new job and I'm just trying to find my rhythm on here again.

Watching those reels are among my favourites - I'm not always sure of the players who are mic'd up but I always love to see the response, whether the players are from the NFL, NBA, MLB etc. I think it's fascinating to hear what they're saying, hearing them explain to each other the basic rules or if there's an impending brawl just around the corner.

Oh - the singer though...

I'm just imagining - take some of the moments from the Face-Off footage of William watching Games 1-3 of the Boston series last season and times it by ten, that would be the passion of the singer. I mean, she's a loud and proud Leafs fan, and hockey fan in general (I have never written or scratched the surface on the reader/singers deep love for the sport and her level of involvement in both the NHL and PWHL but that's for another day).

I always pictured her to be almost best-friend level with Tessa Virtue-Rielly...I had their friendship going as far back as when their respective careers started more or less (being like the Canadian sweethearts).

So when Game One happens against the Panthers, the mic'd up footage as her and Tessa sit with one another is pretty entertaining...starting with the first two goals from William in pretty quick succession.

After the first goal: Singer (under her breath, but still picked up on the mic): “He’s never that quick with his shots at home…” Tessa (nearly snorting her drink): “Jesus—say that louder, I don’t think your mic picked that up clearly.” Singer (laughing): “Shit. I totally forgot—please edit… or don’t. It’s fucking true.” snickers

After the second goal: Tessa (eyeing her suspiciously): “Okay, I don’t wanna know what you did before the game… but whatever it was? Do it again.” Singer: *a beat passes* - there's a lot being implied with the silence Tessa: Oh my god... Singer: Clearly - it's working... Goals 1 & 2 plus some extra inspo:
