we’re further away from the fire than it looks, but that’s not stopping the zombies from getting too close to the barricade. for how quickly Brunswick had to put it together, it’s honestly pretty impressive. who knows how long we’re gonna be holed up here, though. for now i’ll take it as an opportunity to rest, at least as much as one can rest with zombies making a ruckus.

a kiddo lent me a pencil crayon for the orange bits, asked if we were gonna be okay. I told them i’m sure Abel will figure something out.

not sure how much I believed it, things don’t exactly look great over here. i wasn’t gonna tell that to a kid, though.

got a break yesterday and spent most of the day in the defence tower. it was cold and rainy and kind of unnerving just watching the zombies mindlessly shuffling across the field and scratching at the gate. not sure whether i preferred it— being alone with my thoughts in the tower might be worse than running from zombies with people who are suspicious of me.

Fun story, the Zombies, Run community challenge got me into drawing right? Wellll as much fun as it was drawing on my phone I decided to branch out and draw on paper. Now, this is one of my first drawings I ever drew in my sketch book. I *think* it was probably late Janurary. I don't have a consistant art style yet so its everywhere, I just use references photos on Pinterest to try and grasp how to draw body stuff. I do realize how much more difficult it is to draw on paper than digital (no seriously, erasing is much more difficult and its harder to get a skin tone color)

Heres the DTIYS that I did from @runner5ive prompt um this is like the *second* time I actually drawn Sam (and like a fourth time drawing a guy). But yeah I tried. My Five made Sam his shirt. I'm still adjusting to the new drawing app on my phone compared to my old one. I consider myself a baby artist.

Hey everyone! A huge thank you to all who joined in on the DTIYS challenge!

Every entry is absolutely amazing, and it was such a blast seeing all the different takes on the original artwork! It was SO HARD to find a winner because there were so many I loved for so many reasons! Every one of you absolutely killed it! So I forced some friends to judge the entries with me and after a lot of debate (we had no debate, we used the Eurovision points system lmao) we finally had a winner!

DTIYS Entrants - Part One!

The premise of my DTIYS was simple: I wanted to see YOUR Five and YOUR Sam, because I love seeing the differences people have for those characters. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed! Every piece sent my way was wonderful in its own right, and the amount of time, effort and details people put into what I'd thought would be a simple challenge was amazing!

After getting more entries than expected, I decided it might be nice to do everything as a master post so fans of zr could use it to appreciate and discover the artists in our fandom!

I live for angst, and I live for Zombies Run. So, of course, when @runner5ive came up with their DTIYS, I had to chime in with an entry! (Right on the time limit, apologies for that. Work was crazy this past month).

5am are such good candidates for the Kagerou Project, I can't believe I never thought of this before now. It fits them so well with the theme of constantly having to save each other only to end up in more peril afterwards.

I couldn't decide on which version I liked best, so I posted both the clean one and the one with the original sketch as an overlay. I know the original Kagerou Daze video is super clean with both lines and colors, but I'm a sucker for neons and texture and couldn't help myself.

I am, however, very proud of myself for coming up with the idea to use ZR mission headers for the background. So many missions and so many years, I'm glad it fut the style and feel of the drawing.

But yeah, here you go, @runner5ive ! Hope you like it!

(P.S: Yes, there is meaning in picking striped carnations for the potted plant).
