if you have a friend or partner or family member who has NPD, please remember that getting criticised is really hard for a person with NPD. especially unwanted criticism.

of course sometimes everyone needs to be criticised, but please try to make it constructive and not in a negative tone.

getting unwanted criticism can so easily cause a narc crash and can make a person with NPD feel horrible, worthless and hated. even perceived criticism can be very hurtful.

please keep this in mind, especially since anti-NPD ableists will literally try to cause narc crashes on purpose so it can be hard to trust whoever is criticising us since we can’t always know their intentions.

I wish more people knew about what those with NPD go through.

When we look up information on NPD, by searching “NPD”, “NPD awareness”, “NPD help”, rarely do we get accurate information. Instead, we find pages and pages of things on how to spot us, how to find a “malignant” narcissist, how to hurt us, how to escape us, the warning traits of someone having NPD, and almost every single person conflating having NPD with being an abuser who wants to hurt you. Even on pages that list our symptoms, there’s often snippets at the bottom saying people might need to escape us because we’re just so likely to be abusers to them. Fake symptoms are often slipped in with real ones, and nobody bats an eye.

There is hardly any help for people like us, no help for our family and friends who want to understand or help us, only guides to find out how to hurt, stereotype, and spread misinformation on us and how we work.

Positivity posts, awareness posts, anything, is so hard to find on any site. I can find miles of it for multiple other things I experience, but with NPD, it’s filled with things about how awful we are and how to spot us from a distance. It’s not just in the narcissist tag, it’s in the NPD tag, the actually NPD tag, everywhere. Making posts that say “we deserve to be treated fairly and equally like any other personality disorder” causes backlash telling us that we’re being abusive and trying to force people to accept abusers into cluster b spaces. They do no research. They know nothing of what they’re talking about except that NPD is their word and nobody, not even real, suffering, people, can take the horrible light off of it.

When did “support people with personality disorders”, “support people with scary symptoms”, and “support people with low empathy”, suddenly disappear when we came up?

The reasons why a system might introject a specific person or character are incredibly complex and incredibly nuanced to them, and nobody owes you an explanation before they're deserving of respect. They do not have to justify their existence.

Yes, this includes "problematic" introjects. I assure you that no system has ever introjected a morally shitty person or character because they completely agree with that person/character and condone all of their actions.

If trans men are MRAs for talking about transandrophobia, then cis gay men are also MRAs for talking about homophobia.

If that doesn't sit well, maybe think about why. If you're going to allow gay men to tall about homophobia, then what is the problem of trans men talking about transphobia aimed at them?

I know the 2010s sucked when cishet inches would claim 'not all men' every 5 minutes. But if you had half an ounce of sympathy for trans men and gay men, you'd realise that MRAs HATED queer men. Queer men were the targets of MRAs very often. We are not their allies, but their victims.

Grow up and realise that trans men advocating for the rights that we don't have (e.g. reproductive rights) because we are *trans* men, is not and never will be the same as a cis het white man throwing a hissy fit over wokeness.

some of you. especially people heavily immersed in fandom culture. are going to have to go offline sometimes and realize that not only do people of older ages have interests and engage with them . but that friendships between different ages exist. and it’s not weird or uncommon for there to be an age gap in a lot of friendships. and yes obviously if you’re 14 and there’s a 25 year old constantly trying to insert themselves into all your relationships that’s bad etc etc etc. but teenagers can. and NEED to have friendships with people a little older than them and a lot older than them. and its completely fucking natural. and it’s good for you. 😭

Some douche replied to a youtube comment i left about how transphobes don't even consider cis women who aren't feminine enough to be "real women" and what a woman is supposed to be varies from culture to culture and even within the same culture. They said that they identified as a cat and there was no way to say they were wrong without "debunking this gender nonsense" and I guess it was supposed to make me mad but it honestly just cracked me up like

Okay, if you would like to live as a cat that's literally none of my business. If you want to crawl around someone else's house, naked except for a collar with a bell on it and a tag saying you belong to them, while they decide when you eat and give you a box to shit in and discipline you for breaking the rules, you wouldn't be the only person. There's an entire community you can talk to about that, and a few people would be happy to help you live like that if you genuinely wanted.

And if it's just that you feel a really strong connection with cats and find them to be a better representation of all that you are than your physical human body, there are also people like that.
