A Bloodline of Fire and Faith
Tumblr media
I walk with a name both heavy and proud A whisper in halls, a roar in the crowd Born from a line that helped shape the land With churches that rose through a grandfather’s hand
One lit the spark where ministries grew Another stood firm as the cities broke through A grandmother’s faith, steady and bright Guided the flock through the dark into light
Their legacy sings in the chapel's refrain Their courage and sacrifice echo in flame My posture, my voice, my old soul’s glow They say I resemble the roots they know
A father once praised in nations afar Preaching beneath a thousand stars They see how I teach, how the Scriptures flow And whisper, “Someday, a shepherd, you’ll grow.”
But not all gold in the bloodline gleams Some truths remain behind quiet dreams There are tales we speak with careful breath Of honor lost and shadows left
Some left the fold not out of spite But searching for what once felt right Storms within the sacred walls Made mighty names begin to fall
Even a voice once heard in praise Whose songs once led the Church in days Now stands with those who walked away Still lifting truth in a different way
So we moved through doors, chapter to door Not for ambition—but peace evermore Bearing a weight no child should bear Yet still I walk it, still I care
I’m of a line both bruised and blessed Both cursed and kissed, both storm and rest To love me is to know the cost The beauty kept, the battles lost
But oh, to walk with eyes that see Not just the past, but what's to be A bridge, a balm, a voice made whole A soul not chained by stories old
Whoever stands and takes my name Must dance with grace amid the flame To love this life, this fight, this face To choose me still, in every place
I long for peace, for wounds to mend For mercy’s touch the Lord can send And though I carry much unseen I'm more than just what might have been
So here I stand with open hands Not bound by blood, but by His plans A bloodline of fire, but forged in faith Still walking love, still choosing grace

Walls
Tumblr media
I’ve walked the lines around your soul
Where silence weaves a silent scroll
Each glance, a gate I cannot pass
Each smile, a flicker through stained glass
You’ve built them high, these sacred walls
With thorns and shadows in their halls
I do not know what laid each stone
Was it fear, or were you left alone?
Is it past wounds that make you guard
Your heart behind that facade so hard?
Or am I just a passing name
A spark too soft to fan a flame?
Still here I stand, though turned away
A voice that whispers when you pray
I’ve circled long, like Jericho
Hoping time would let love grow
Seven times, or seventy more
I’d walk again your fortress floor
Not to conquer, not to win
But just to be let halfway in
I’ve laid no siege, I’ve cast no stone
I speak in silence when you’re alone
Not to demand, nor to implore
Just waiting near your bolted door
If walls are what you feel you need
To guard the ache, to staunch the bleed
Then I’ll respect the lines you draw
Even if they hold me in awe
But understand: I do not go
Because my heart has ceased to glow
I go because love sometimes waits
Outside the rusted, heavy gates
If ever comes your seventh day
And those old walls begin to sway
You’ll find me near, not far nor fled
Still walking circles in my head
No trumpet blast, no mighty show
Just faith that whispers soft and low
These walls you built, they might yet fall
But even if not, I loved them all

Bridge
Tumblr media
I stand between the tide and stone, Where two directions call alone One path flows from the steps I've known, The other hums in softer tone Behind, a warmth both sharp and deep, Ahead, a hush I long to keep The wind, it sways both ways, untold, As shadows stretch, both new and old
A voice once steady, forged in pace, With order drawn in quiet grace Their days are filled with plans and charts, But somewhere still, unspoken parts A careful gate, a guarded light, Yet even silence glows at night And though the doors were once held tight, I felt the ache behind their might
The other moves with subtle hand, Composed, yet shaped to understand They tend the hours others miss, In details small, in kindness kissed Their words are few, their gestures kind, A calm that settles in the mind And though they walk with steps unknown, They make the present feel like home
I turn, then pause, one glance behind, Where echoes still disturb the mind Then lift my gaze to what could be, A path unknown, yet tugging me Two souls like stars, with steady glow, Distinct in light, but hard to know Behind the frames, a spark, a trace, A pull that time cannot erase
So here I wait, beneath His skies, With questions still, but lifted eyes Not mine to chase, nor mine to claim But walk in trust, not bearing shame If His hand leads, then I’ll remain, Through joy, through ache, through gentle rain And when the time and path are shown, I’ll know I never walked alone

Tetelestai.
In Greek, it means “It is finished”.
In another context, it meant “paid in full”.
Jesus’ sacrifice is two-fold: He fulfilled His Father’s will by dying on the cross to pay for our sins, once and for all; a debt we owed that we could not pay.
Let us think about His sacrifice on the cross ✝️.

For Year 27, I made a promise to myself. It’s time for me to make my past unfulfilled dreams realized into reality. A time to turn my doubtful thoughts into decisive actions. A time to keep persevering and not giving up after previous setbacks and failures. A time to finish what I initially started. 🏁

Re: The "One" ❤️
Tumblr media
It's been more than 7 years since I made my original post about the "One", a name referring to whoever may or will be my future partner.
I'm currently in my late 20s and now a working professional. After rediscovering my original post, I would like to revisit the traits and characteristics I listed there and provide additional insights. I've also rearranged the order for some of these traits and some are what I treat as non-negotiable; meaning that I would not consider those who do not meet these particular criteria.
1. She is 100% God-fearing. This is important for me. I want to have a future partner who puts God first above all and loves Him wholeheartedly.
I just want to point out that this is a non-negotiable trait. Better if my future partner believes in the same faith and principles as I am. I just want to quote 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?"
Which leads to...
2. She shares the Gospel and lives a life glorifying Christ. As Jesus commands us to make disciples for us to honor Him, I want someone who can join me in a journey with God together. I like someone who passionately spread His word to others.
This is another non-negotiable trait. I want to see my future partner not only firmly believes in the Word of God but also lives out what it says. She should not be the reason why my relationship with Christ would be compromised but rather should challenge me to grow deeper in my walk with Him and vice-versa.
3. She is honest. I do not like someone who is fraud and lying not only to me but also to others. I appreciate someone who can tell the truth even when it hurts. I also appreciate someone who is not afraid to tell her weaknesses, not just her strengths.
As an ENFP, I value honesty and sincerity. Thus, I treat this as a non-negotiable trait as well. I appreciate someone who can provide corrections whenever I'm wrong. I would also appreciate her setting the expectations from the get-go. To quote Proverbs 27:5, "Better is open rebuke than hidden love."
4. She is responsible and mature. I want someone who can take responsibility for her actions. This is the way I can determine if she is brave enough no matter what.
What I meant by this is that she is accountable and responsible for the actions and decisions she makes. If she makes a mistake, she does not hesitate to own up to it.
5. She is hardworking. Of course, I want someone who knows how to make sacrifices to achieve something. “No pain, no gain.”
I just want to quote Proverbs 13:4, "A sluggard’s appetite is never filled, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied."
Speaking of diligence...
6. She is diligent and wise. I am not saying about someone who is always at the top. What I meant is that she is using her knowledge and wisdom in a fruitful and productive manner. She knows how to act properly especially in important situations.
Being good at academics is a plus for me, but what I am emphasizing here is that she is applying her God-given wisdom into action; in her daily routines, at home, at the workplace, at church and in other places.
7. She is a homegrown person. In other words, she knows the duties at home.
I just want to provide some clarifications here. I am not saying that my future partner should shoulder all the responsibilities at home. At the very least, I want for us to balance out the roles, especially when planning out our future household.
8. She loves and respects her family. If she does not appreciate and care her own family (siblings, parents, and relatives), she would not care about mine as well. I will be much happier if her family is a Christian too.
Her family having a strong Christian background would be a huge plus. It would help me get along with them much better. "A family that prays together, stays together."
9. She is sociable and friendly. I want someone who can associate with others, influencing their lives, and more.
I like to see her make an impact on the people surrounding her; showing a Christlike example for others to follow. Getting along and having fun with them is not bad, as long as she knows her own boundaries.
10. She is optimistic. I like someone who never gives up easily.
As an ENFP, I'm an optimist at heart. I tend to encourage others never to give up. And if those I encouraged succeed in their goals in life, it's a sense of relief and joy for me. In the same way, I appreciate if this person encourages me in my own goals.
11. She is modest. Honestly, I want someone who is conscious with what she wears at public and private and how people would treat her according to that.
Just to clarify as a Christian, what I meant is she knows that what she wears is still in accordance to Biblical principles. Just to quote 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies."
Since we're talking about appearances...
12. She is beautiful, inside and outside. No question about that. I believe that if a person is beautiful on the inside, it will reflect on the outside as well.
This may sound I'm exaggerating. Of course, someone who looks lovely is a plus, but I do look on someone's personality a lot more. Outer beauty fades over time but inner beauty remains.
13. She likes adventures. I am a person who likes to explore many places. So, I want someone who likes to explore with me.
The adventures I mentioned here aren't just referring about travelling to different countries all around the world, doing thrilling stuffs, etc. I'm also referring to doing new things even in simpler settings, planned or spontaneous; like going to a cat cafe, riding a new attraction on an amusement park, or attending desired concerts, just to name a few.
14. She likes reading books and sharing stories. Seriously, I am somewhat a bookworm, a social media person, and somewhat a writer. So, I like somebody who can share new information and stories to me. I will be much happier if she writes stories too.
Nowadays, I spend more time making content posts in social media but I still do read books that interests me from time to time. I do not mind if this person converses with me a lot, from sharing her adventure stories or just about how she spent her day for example.
15. She accepts me for who I am. “No one is perfect.” So, I want someone who will accept me for my flaws and weaknesses. She will also accept my past no matter what.
In the same way, I would accept her for who she is. Imperfections make someone unique. As one says, "Embracing our imperfections does not make us less; it makes us more relatable, more interesting, more human..."
These are what I originally listed years ago.
Since this post is already getting long, I may do another post regarding additional traits that I didn't put on this original list.
Either way, at the end of the day, it's still up to God's perfect plan and timing. He knows better than I. Also, waiting for that someone doesn't mean I'm doing nothing. Even at my current age, I still do believe I have a lot of things I've yet to learn about life. And thus, I yearn to improve myself each day.
Tumblr media
To my future partner (if God-willing):
You may be someone who I've never met yet, or perhaps you're someone I've already known and actually admire from afar.
Nevertheless, if you're reading this, please know that I'm praying for you; for your well-being, for your personal growth and development, and for your continuous spiritual relationship with God.
I may not be the perfect or the most ideal person you may have envisioned, but I hope you accept me for who I am. I also pray that you'll be preparing for me when God's timing finally comes, and I officially start pursuing you. I love you with the love of the Lord.

Heart of Contentment
Tumblr media
Contentment. It is defined as the state of happiness and satisfaction. It is being at ease in one’s situation, body and mind.
When discussing about this matter, I was kinda frustrated at first. It’s because I felt like I want to get or achieve many things in life. For me, these were the moments that the devil wants to put in my mind about desiring more than what I need.
These are the things that I experienced before when discussing this:
1. I felt that I have the right to get jealous at many things that I don’t have. You name it. Money. More advanced gadgets, especially PCs and smartphones. Fashion. Travelling. Quality food. Even more friends to hangout with. Before, when I saw some friends’ posts about these things, I felt that I wanted to have those too. Because of these...
2. I felt insecure. I thought that if I couldn’t get those things, I would be left behind and being ignored by people, including those I treated close to me. Because I felt this way...
3. I became a people-pleaser. Yes, I did. I was doing whatever is necessary to make sure I would make everyone happy and appreciate me. I thought this would satisfy or make me fully joyful.
However, I realized that it was all wrong. Because of these things, I became proud, selfish, and more insecure. During those times before, I acted like I prioritized pleasing men than God. I felt that I ignored His commands.
That’s when I learned these things:
1. The Bible tells that we should be satisfied of what we have, who we are and where we’re going. Jesus said in Matthew 6:25, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?” From this verse, I realized that I should not worry about the things of this world. I felt that I should be thankful to God in my position in life. Currently, I’m studying in a university with quality education. I have a family who is always guiding me to where I should be and supporting me in what I do. I have good friends around who cares about me and are considered as my accountability partners. And many more.
2. I realized that we should’ve calling out to God first instead of other people. God has many names, including Jehovah Jireh in which it means, “The Lord provides”. He has provided many times already, including in the Bible. How much more in this time today? So instead of focusing on others for provision, focus on Jesus. As stated in Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
3. The Lord is in control of our lives and has a perfect will for all of us. Man’s ways are not perfect. Even when we already achieved what we want, we are still not satisfied. We wanted more. For me, that’s the norm. But, the Bible tells us in Romans 12:2, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Let God satisfy you and fill you with His peace.
I’m thankful that no matter what happened in my life before, God never leaves me nor forsake me. Right now, even though I still experience these types of temptations, I believe that He is on my side, reminding me about the things that is greater than anything I desired.

The "One" ❤️
Tumblr media
I had a dream... I was waiting in a walkway... Alone. As if I was waiting for a long time. When I saw someone walking towards me, I was shocked as if I knew the person for a long time. It was a beautiful girl that I seemed to recognize. Then, I uttered, “I knew you would come.” I became so emotional that I went towards her and hugged her tightly in my arms, as if I missed the feeling for a long time...
This is the dream I hold dear for a few years now. Like other people, I desire a future partner which I would like to call the "One". I never thought I dreamed about that. But, after all the experiences I had about this love and infatuation thing, I want to list down the main traits and characteristics of the ‘One’ I dreamed of:
1. She is 100% God-fearing. This is important for me. I want to have a future partner who puts God first above all and loves Him wholeheartedly.
2. She is hardworking. Of course, I want someone who knows how to make sacrifices to achieve something. “No pain, no gain.”
3. She shares the Gospel and lives a life glorifying Christ. As Jesus commands us to make disciples for us to honor Him, I want someone who can join me in a journey with God together. I like someone who passionately spread His word to others.
4. She is sociable and friendly. I want someone who can associate with others, influencing their lives, and more.
5. She is diligent and wise. I am not saying about someone who is always at the top. What I meant is that she is using her knowledge and wisdom in a fruitful and productive manner. She knows how to act properly especially in important situations.
6. She is responsible and mature. I want someone who can take responsibility for her actions. This is the way I can determine if she is brave enough no matter what.
7. She is a homegrown person. In other words, she knows the duties at home.
8. She is modest. Honestly, I want someone who is conscious with what she wears at public and private and how people would treat her according to that.
9. She likes adventures. I am a person who likes to explore many places. So, I want someone who likes to explore with me.
10. She loves and respects her family. If she does not appreciate and care her own family (siblings, parents, and relatives), she would not care about mine as well. I will be much happier if her family is a Christian too.
11. She is honest. I do not like someone who is fraud and lying not only to me but also to others. I appreciate someone who can tell the truth even when it hurts. I also appreciate someone who is not afraid to tell her weaknesses, not just her strengths.
12. She is optimistic. I like someone who never gives up easily.
13. She is beautiful, inside and outside. No question about that. I believe that if a person is beautiful on the inside, it will reflect on the outside as well.
14. She likes reading books and sharing stories. Seriously, I am somewhat a bookworm, a social media person, and somewhat a writer. So, I like somebody who can share new information and stories to me. I will be much happier if she writes stories too.
15. She accepts me for who I am. “No one is perfect.” So, I want someone who will accept me for my flaws and weaknesses. She will also accept my past no matter what.
These are the main traits and characteristics that I want to see to my future partner. But, frankly, I believe that despite having these good traits, I still need to trust God to guide me in this. Even though I like my future partner to have all of these traits, God knows better than I. I know I still have plenty of things to learn.
Before I meet the ‘One’, I am praying to God for guidance and wisdom so that I could prepare myself for the ‘One’. I do not know who will she be. It may be someone that I never met yet or I already met her before. But one thing is for sure; when the time is right, I will accept this person with an open heart.
To my future partner, if you are reading this, I hope that you will be waiting for me without any regrets as I’ll also wait for you. I pray that you are also preparing yourself for me as I do. I hope and pray that I will see and accept you for who you are in God’s timing. Remember that God is with you always. I love you. God bless.

Each Day Can Be A Good Day
Tumblr media
Sometimes when things go wrong for us,
it’s easy to forget
The happiness we’ve seen
and the good fortune we’ve met.
Those rough times can be good times
to think of friends we’ve known,
Of favors that they’ve done for us,
of kindness that they’ve shown,
To think of fun-filled times we’ve spent,
nice places that we’ve been,
Of the beauty that life offers us
time and time again,
And then a day when things go wrong
can turn into a day
For us to think how very often
things have gone our way
