I don’t think we should call Uranus ‘Caelus’. And unless it’s for angst or being said by X in a fanfiction, I don’t think it’s appropriate to use that name.
I’ve seen a lot of people compare it to having a deadname and chosen name situation, but I don’t think it should be compared to that experience at all. I personally don’t have a deadname, so I can’t say from experience, but the way that the story has been shown, it feels more like when a nice kid becomes friends with the bullies and becomes nastier and wants nothing to do with their past kinda deal.
There’s also an argument that Uranus doesn’t like his name because people make fun of it. But, in the actual show, do we ever see anyone make fun of it in front of him. In the entire show, the there has been only three times where someone made a ‘ur-anus’ joke, excluding the times where Uranus made or commented on it. Only one time was where they said it in front of him, and that was with Jupiter in the recent episode. The other times was when either it was with children (Neptune’s moons) who are all very immature and Venus, where when he was laughing at his name they had set it up to show that Venus was in the wrong for laughing.
I think the problem mostly stems from a low self esteem as he is shown to not like his name even before he met anyone and there was no chance for anyone to make those jokes.
I believe by saying that you shouldn’t use Uranus and that it’s because people don’t take him seriously is really dumbing down his character

Sort of a long confession, sorry
As somebody who once stopped watching Solarballs once because I was mad at how “Earth was handled” when he offended Titan.
All I can say is:
Refusing to watch something because you’re upset at how a character you love or kin is not behaving like how you assumed they would is no reason to blurt “Out of Character”. Like I remember I was angry and thought Earth was “Out of character” like most ppl at the time also believed. But then I watched previous videos and realized that I was wrong and Earth actually was a bully at times
And I notice that this seems to be a huge issue in this fandom. People get obsessed with their fanon that they get angry that canon doesn’t do the same. Before Neptune’s debut, some people assumed he would be a girl, others thought he was gonna be mute. But people got angry when he turned out to be silly and forgetful that they came up with this idea that he’s secretly evil. (Like…When MLP fandom made creepy ass fanfics of Pinkie Pie killing her friends and even children) So many people are obsessed with this idea that they take screenshots of the moments where he isn’t smiling just to say “Two face Neptune canon!” As if he isn’t allowed to have other emotions. Like they forget that Neptune’s been shown to have a potentially traumatizing backstory (Solarballs please, I’m begging you to go back to that…)
People were also mad over Rhea being a soft girl just because she’s the second largest Saturnian moon??? (Have you seen Saturn? The second largest planet? HER PLANET???) Oberon is a soft boy sometimes and he’s the second biggest Uranian moon!
Then people assumed they knew everything about Titania just by her debut episode and complained when she was talking to Titan. They…were not flirting, the scene was not at all romantic, saying this as somebody who does ship them. Personally I think Titania is wearing a tough girl façade just like Europa and that’s why Europa is the one trying to warn her not to make any sudden decisions. She just doesn’t want Titania to make the same mistakes she, Ganymede, and Titan made and I am here for it!
Anyway, the list goes on and on but this confession is long enough. But in conclusion: Don’t be upset when your character predictions are wrong. And if you really do want it your way, write your own version! AND PLEASE DO NOT HARASS PEOPLE WHO ARE STICKING TO CANON OR LIKE WHATEVER IS IN CANON, THAT IS CROSSING THE LINE!

I think Present Time Neptune is either somewhere crashing out, or he’s looking for Guillermo and about to crash out once he realizes Planet X has him—
There actually was this hilarious Crack Fic I saw a few months ago where he was looking for Guillermo and then he crashed out and yelled at Jupiter for giving him away to Planet X, it was surprisingly very funny—

Does Theia being a love interests ep. 1 kinda piss anyone else off?
OKAY SO- hear me out, I am in no way being hateful of Venus or possibly proto in the future liking her, but I feel like the main female Solarballs characters all just have fucking romance sub-plots. Like Titania with Titan, her liking him and all, and Venus with Theia. Even Europa with Ganymede- like can we PLEASE get a noticeable female character that isn’t tethered to romance in any sort of way. Or just, ANY female character?? Solarballs itself barely gives us any female characters, none of the planets being one and no major moons being females besides Europa and Titania, both of which have love interests. I’d even go as far to mention astrowife here, though all of the female characters, especially astrowife, are definitely a bit more independent, they all still have love interests. I dare you to name a main female character that is plot relevant for more than a few episodes to me that isn’t tethered to love in any way.

i kind of hate how the broken au (which,, no hate to the creator i love the au) influenced how some of the fandom portray jupiter and saturn
no hate but they would NOT kill their moons over earth,, they barely even showed any emotions when they found out the moons started a revolution because of him.
