Today has been all about the baking and the poly. I started with buns for dinner and then I made some of these Quick No Yeast Cinnamon Rolls with the oldest, trying to suck up as much time as I can before moving him back into his dorm in a couple weeks. These are delicious and so fast. No yeast means no waiting for dough to rise. Anyone else had the good fortune of having to use one of these? Our washer drain was backing up a bit and I was quoted an exorbitant amount to snake it. I decided to give it a try for much less and what do you know…..drain is working great now! This is why so many of us diy now. It’s necessary. Today was a pretty good day! I started with adding some pieces on the bottom of my table to add the drawer slides for the bottom drawer and then got the drawers built and installed. You can see the process in my highlights on Insta if you want to see how that process went. Tomorrow I will add some drawer pulls and maybe close the sides and back to keep the sawdust out. Everyone always talks about the tools they love or what tools you must have. Circular saws are always on the list but I have to admit that I took these pictures today after cutting yet another board all wonky with this darn thing and thinking about putting it on Marketplace and buying a new one. I mean surely it’s the saw and not me right!?! 🤣 Then I come inside to cool off because it’s in the mid 90s in the garage and talk myself out of selling it because I should’ve done this or that. Whatever I should’ve done it was not try to follow a straight line. Definitely need a straight edge guide next time.
