Yves Klein (1928-1962) was one of the most outstanding creators of the modern art of postwar France. His work has inspired many followers, we anticipated Pop Art and other currents. Klein has always been a great original and thought that the gesture of the artist can be even more important than the art itself. His artistic career Klein began by creating a series of monotonous paintings, which parodied the usual directories. But the visitors began to look for a link between flowers and the fact that they are, contrary to the authors. Therefore, continue to Klein decided to concentrate on a single color - blue. A special shade of blue has been developed with the participation of chemists, pharmaceutical company Rhone Poulenc. It is assumed that the unusual brightness and saturation was achieved through mixing dry pigment with a polyvinyl acetate. Later, Klein even patented the color giving it the name of International Klein Blue (IKB). At the beginning of his career, Klein blue was the central point of the entire array of the artist. Out of the blue we create a variety of monochrome canvases and objects, as well as the performances were held, during which the models covered by this pigment. With his blue Klein only he worked early in his career. Subsequently, the artist has found other tricks, and many times, and surprised the audience during his short but very bright life.
