The other day I noticed you in the reblogs of @crashingstar69’s asexual Brent stimboard:

As someone who has both written and requested NSFW content of Brent, may I ask *why* you were “hoping” for this? I assume this means you consider yourself on board with the idea of him being “officially” asexual and/or you headcanon him as such, which isn’t inherently bad but all things considered does make *you* look bad.

While I am aware that asexuality isn’t the same as sex-repulsion or sex-aversion, Brent is still on record saying that he would rather people not create NSFW content of him.

This is why I never looked at RPF through the lens of “we’re only talking about the cc’s personas, not their irl selves!”; because even if I did, that can only go so far. You as well as others like @celestialvexation do not respect content creators as people enough to follow the simplest, clearest instructions.

But more to the point, the fact that you both accept the idea of Brent as asexual and also disrespect his request to not be sexualized in fan content… I can only interpret this in the worst way possible. Is it because he’s a man, so you don’t think you have to take his boundaries seriously? Or is it because you don’t take asexuality seriously and think that we just need to “loosen up”? Or is it both?

I see no reason to give you the benefit of the doubt, or to have sent you this via DM instead of posting it publicly. I considered it, but I do think that everyone in our little corner of the Internet needs to see this.

Feel free to respond to this, if you think it will help. Personally I would save myself the trouble and just get started on growing and changing as a person. We will all be better off, and it lessens the probability of this being labeled “drama”.
