ok let me just say this. i completely agree that jonathan crane and harvey dent and the rest of the Gotham rogues gallery are ridiculously + criminally underused because dc loves to capitalise on teehee joker mania from reddit incels or whatever but ill be real. that is not the jonklers fault ok... valid if u hate him but its not his fault they make him suck in like 90% of adaptations and also comics these days. u gotta find the good shit it’s. buried kinda deep. so i don’t blame you for feeling this way in the slightest. however ALSO jason todd should not be batman’s no.1 straight up villain either. my guy is an anti-hero….. his beef with batman is already a huge part of their stories. i don’t think it’s not getting enough attention

also i think that it’s important to remember that comics weren’t always grimdark post frank miller/TDKR sad alpha male batman content. the joker was a villain who emerged during a very different era it was the golden age of comics. things were silly back then you were allowed to have a gay clown as a nemesis no one blinked twice. YEAH it looks a bit silly now and they’ve had to progressively darkify his character in order to make it work (and it does i think when it’s done well and with a scrap of originality) but anyways. peace and love
