You can read part 1 HERE, and part 2 HERE
TAGLIST: @goingmerry69 , @moonbunmedic , @lizzstark @solsticeex (I'm sorry if i've missed anyone, if i have let me know!)
Sweat drips down your forehead as you run through the endless halls towering over you, dodging as many red players as you can. As you near the end of one hall you come to a stop as an ear-piercing scream echoes through the halls. You look to your left, you see nothing but a spurt of blood splattering onto the wall from the aisle opposite, you look to your right – all clear. Quickly you run to your right, hoping and praying no reds could see you.
“Fuck” you shout scared as a red player runs out of the aisle bashing into your shoulder as they do, knocking you to the floor. You close your eyes awaiting the blow, but it doesn’t come. You cautiously open your eyes and see the red player standing above you breathing heavily, covered in blood and surprisingly not pointing their knife at you, your eyes travel to their face and shock rises in you as your eyes meet with the player you had swapped teams with before the game.
“Go” she whispers, you don’t move confused “go, there’s more coming this way” she leans down to help you up and pushes you to keep running.
“Thank you” you whisper before continuing to run down the hall. You reach a locked door and luckily your key opens it, and as you twist the key someone barges you out of the way. You look up and see Dae-Ho running clearly terrified. You shake your head and begin to stand, stopping when you hear fast footsteps behind you. Suddenly the footsteps stop, and you look up. Gi-hun stands beside you, his attention on the door which Dae-ho had just gone through.
“Did he go this way?” he spoke. Something in his voice terrified you. You nod slowly and watch as he runs up he stairs after him. After a few seconds you follow him up the stairs watching as he turns a corner. You run past and see him and Dae-ho in a struggle, Gi-hun clearly winning. You wanted to help but…it wasn’t your problem right now. Suddenly you hear your name being called” Shit. You begin to panic. Rushing into the next room you found with no thought you slam the door closed and lean against it breathing heavily.
“Y/n?” you hear. You turn quicky expecting this to be the end of the road, but to your surprise you say player 120, 149 and 222. You breath a sigh of relief and as you asses your surroundings you notice player 222 is on the floor…giving birth. Fuck.
“Oh, my fuck okay this is happening” you whisper and rush over to her, taking her head in your hands, stroking her hair to calm her.
“You should go Hyun Ju; we’ll only hold you back” player 149 whispers. Hyun Ju looks between you all not wanting to go.
“Hyun Ju go, find the exit” Jun Hee screams quietly in pain, the rag between her teeth not doing much to help.
“Okay…I’ll be right back I promise” Hyun Ju runs out of the room and closes the door behind her, a sense of fear once again washes over you, but the sound of Jun Hee screaming quickly brought you back to your senses.
“One more push, I can see the head just one more push darling” You reach for Jun hee’s hand and take it, letting her squeeze as she pushes one last time. A cry echoes through the room and your heart clenches; you gently stroke Jun hee’s hair and lean down to press a soft kiss to her forehead as she leans back onto you exhausted.
“I’m so proud of you Jun Hee” you whisper. You had become really close friends during your time in the games, you’d even say you had become best friends. You both watch as Geum ja wraps the baby up in Jun hee’s jacket and hands it to her. Suddenly the door slams open and Hyun Ju stands with a smile on her face.
“I found it! I found the exit! Come on I’ll show yo-“she stops suddenly, her face dropping and turning pale.
“Hyun Ju?” you whisper as you get up slowly. Unexpectedly she falls to the floor, revealing a red player…player 333 inface standing behind her, his knife decorated with her blood. Gasps fill the room, and he looks up, the smirk on his face dropping once he spots Junhee with the baby in her hand.
“Myung-gi, what’d you find, more blues?” your blood runs cold as you hear player 124 from down the hall. It takes player 333 a minute but he shakes his head and closes the door. You all breath a sigh of relief and you walk over to Jun Hee heling her up off the floor. You take her baby in your arms and look down at them, their eyes so innocent and your heart melts.
“She’s beautiful Jun Hee” You whisper, a tear coming to your eye.
“We need to move; we need to find the exit” Player 149 whispers. You both nod and begin to follow her towards the exit. She cautiously looks to her left and to her right, signalling you to follow her when the coast was clear. You let Jun Hee go first so you could protect her from behind if you need to. As you walk over the body of 120 your heart sinks, all she was trying to do is protect you all…and she died because of it. Shaking the thoughts out of your head you lean down slowly and take her key from around her neck, following player 149 and 222, stopping when you hear a scream. Quickly player 149 opens the closest door, ushering you all inside. A loud gasp escapes Junhee, and you turn to her. Your eyes widen in shock as you realise you had reached the exit.
“Geum Ja look! The exit we made it!” She turns in shock and rushes over to the door.
“we need all 3 keys” she speaks, defeat evident in her tone
“I took Hyun jus key” you hold up the key. Geum ja breaths out a sigh of relief and takes the key from your hands, using it to unlock the door.
“Um…Geum Ja…” you hear from beside you. You look up at Jun Hee to see her staring terrified at the door. Player 149 does the same, and as you both look towards the door your heart stops. Player 007…Geum Ja’s son stands there, his knife clean staring straight at Jun hee and the baby. You rush to stand in front of her as Player 149 rushes to her son.
“Yong-sik, yong-sik what are you doing” she rushes as he steps forward. He looks down at her, tears in his eyes.
“I’m sorry ma, I have to…I haven’t killed anyone they’ll kill me” he utters and steps forward again, pushing player 149 to the side.
“Yong-Sik no! Kill me instead!” she shouts as she pulls at his shoulders.
“No ma” he reaches you.
“You can’t…. you won’t” you whisper, protecting Jun hee and her baby at all costs. “Kill me but not them” You look into his tear filled eyes, looking for some kind of mercy…yet you didn’t find any. In an instant he pushes you out of the way, his knife slashing your cheek as he does. You fall to the floor and watch as he moves in on Jun Hee. With all your strength you try and get up, and as you get to your feet you hear Yong-sik whisper.
“I’m sorry” you watch as he lifts his knife.
“No!” you shout. As you start to run towards him, he suddenly drops the knife, all life slowly draining from his eyes. You stop confused until you see player 149 step back, her hair now down and shock written on her face.
“Geum ja” She rushes round to catch her son as he falls
“Ma…ma im so sorry, im so sorry ma im so sorry” you watch as he apologises, tears filling your eyes,
“Shhh, Shh. You’re okay” she comforts him. Suddenly the timer stops, and pink guards appear at the door. “No..no please save him please” They take no notice and shoot him, mercilessly as Player 149 screams. Slowly you walk over to Jun Hee and take her in your arms, careful not to hurt the baby and you both cry, whether it be from relief or watching Yong-Sik die…you didn’t know.
“Dear players, the game has now ended, please return to base, I will now repeat”
You all make your way out of the room, following the pink guards down the hall, hearing gunshots fly around.
“I’m so sorry Geum ja” she looks up at you and nods, offering a small smile before walking ahead back into the dormitory. You watch as Jun Hee walks over to Geum Ja and sits beside her, she takes the baby in her arms and smiles. You smile warmly at them and return to Young-Ils bed, laying down. Nothing made you want him more than now, being so close to death made you realise that you really did depend on him for protection. Tears start to fell down your cheek, stinging as they drip into your cut and you bring his pillow closer to you, breathing in his scent. Slowly his scent was wearing off and you dread the day you could no longer feel him with you. You Close your eyes, remembering Mingle, the last game you played together.
“What do you think the next number will be?” Jung-bae asks.
“2, look there are only 50 rooms, and 126 players left…that’s 2 people per room…whoever doesn’t find someone is dead” Young-il replies. You look up at him in fear. Feeling your eyes on him he takes your hand. “I’ve got you” he whispers.
“2” Instantly Young-Il drags you off the podium rushing towards the room directly in front of you. Your speed was no match for his, and along the way you slip on a puddle of blood. Your hand leaves Young-ils as you fall down and he turns around panic evident in his face. Running towards you he watches 2 others run past you into the room he wanted, so he quickly drags you to your feet and rushes away to the door which was now being opened by the 2 people. Time seemed to slow as he drags the man away from the door, shouting at you to run in as the timer went down. Your heart was beating a million miles a second as you rush through the door, watching Young-il throw the man to the floor before running in himself. You turn and your blood runs cold.
“Young-il” He turns looking at you first then following you eyeline. Inside the room was another man, someone who had clearly slipped past Young-il.
“Out” he sternly speaks sending electricity through your body.
“We were here first” he argues. Young-il looks up at the timer and without a second thought rushes behind the man, wrapping his arm around his throat. You watch, not knowing with amazement, horror or curiosity but you watch. And then…your eyes connected with Young-Ils and your breath halts. His eyes never leave yours, not for a moment as he drains the life of the man in his arms, until finally ‘snap’. He breaks his neck as the timer reaches zero and gunshots fill the air. Slowly he pushes the man off of him and gets to his feet. Without saying anything he walks up to you, grabs your head in his hands, pushes you against the wall and kisses you. It was a kiss filled with hunger, desire, need, want…. love. A kiss women only dream of having and as your lips move together, they melt together like two puzzle pieces. This was a kiss you had both longed for and in this moment, it felt as if nothing could come between you. He slowly parts from you as the door unlocks, breathless, lips plush and presses his forehead against yours. He had never looked more fuckable than in that moment.

Dangerous inspiration - Part 2 (REQUEST) Frontman x reader
WARNINGS: Mention of death and guns
Notes: Hi! This is part 2 to the request I received. There will of course be further parts to this! Despair part 3 will be out tomorrow!
See Dangerous Inspiration part 1: Here
Wordcount: 1.5k
After the game you and Young-il were practically inseparable, until you had to cast your votes of course. During the last game you came closer to death then you would’ve liked, and you didn’t want to admit it but you were terrified. So, this time you voted to leave, you couldn’t stand another second in this hell hole. The ‘X’s cheered as you’re handed an X badge before walking over to join Young-Il who had also voted to leave. As you walk over and stand beside him he smiles down at you before moving his attention to the next voter. As more player voted the ‘O’s kept gaining more and more players, and as it got down to the last few Young-il left your side. You tried to reach for him but he was gone too quick.
“Think about what you’re doing” he shouts to everyone. “You are condemning innocent people to die, no one knows what tomorrows game will be, it could be you that dies next, or you” he speaks, pointing out people in the crowd. “This is our chance to leave, our chance to get out with what we’ve earnt, our chance to survive this…please think about what you’re doing” he pleads.
“Player 415, please make your vote” Young-il looks around defeated and slowly walks back towards you with his head hung low. You gently place your hand on his arm.
“Hey…at least you tried” He hesitates before nodding and turning his back to you. Your heart dropped but you didn’t take it too personally.
“Down to a majority vote, the game tomorrow will go ahead, we thank you for your participation” The guards leave the room and everyone returns to their bunks.
“Hey, you oka-“ You try and speak to Young-il but instead he takes no notice and walks straight past you. “Oh…okay” you whisper to yourself, trying not to let the tears fill your eyes. You nod gently to yourself and walk to a spare bunk on the opposite side of the room to Young-il, thoughts racing through your mind about what turned him so cold towards you. Slowly you sit down and cross your legs, playing with the hem of your jacket when suddenly a voice interrupted your thoughts.
“Hey, it’s y/n right?” You look up and see Gi-hun. Politely you nod. “May i?” he gestures to the stop in front of you. Once again you nod, and he takes a seat. “You did great in the games today, Young-il said you were feeling like it was your fault we almost didn’t make it, I just want you to know that it wasn’t your fault, it wasn’t anyone’s fault” He takes your hand gently to reassure you.
“Thank you Gi-hun”
“You don’t need to thank me, why don’t you come and sit with us? We have space?” You smile gently at him and follow him, rising to your feet and walking over to where the rest of the group sits. As you walk over Young-il looks up at you from his conversation, his heart faltering slightly as he takes in your messy bun and oversized jacket. He hadn’t noticed he was staring until you stood in front of him, cheeks flushed, holding the arms of your jacket in your hands.
“Young-il, she asked if she could sit next to you” Gi-hun spoke in the absence of your words.
“Oh uh…yes of course” he shuffles to the side allowing space for you to sit. As you sit down your thigh briefly presses against his, and flurries of electricity ran through you. For the remainder of the night you sat with Gi-hun, Young-il and the rest of your group until it was time for lights out.
“Attention players, lights out will be in 30 minutes, I will now repeat the instructions” You rise to your feet, saying goodnight to everyone as you walk towards your bunk your mind infiltrated with the feeling of Young-Ils thigh on yours. As you walk your gaze is stuck to the floor, until you bump into someone walking in the opposite direction causing you to stumble down. You look up to see Player 100 staring down at you as if he were about to kill you.
“Watch where you’re going will you, it’s not hard to open your eyes in here you know it’s not even dark yet!” he yells at you, tears start to fill your eyes.
“I’m sorry sir, I was distracted” He bends down, now closer to your face.
“I don’t want your bullshit apologies, stupid girl…” he reaches down and grabs your jacket were the ‘x’ badge sits. “Oh, poor girl, you want to leave? That’s a shame, isn’t it? This place is gonna eat you up alive, I don’t imagine you’ll be seeing the sun again” Suddenly a shadow eclipses player 100.
“That’s enough” his voice sends shivers down your spine. Player 100 stands, pushing you slightly towards the ground and walks around you, scurrying off to his bunk. You look up to see Young-il reaching his hand out for you to take. Gently you take his hand, and he pulls you up, your hand landing on his chest as he does.
“What happened?” he questions, you blush.
“Oh nothing, I just wasn’t looking where I was going that’s all”, he looks at you, clearly unconvinced.
“you’re one of the most observant people I know, somethings on your mind, what is it?”
“It’s nothing Young-il” you whisper and look down at your feet. He gently places his finger beneath your chin and lifts your head up. As your eyes meet everything else fades into the background and suddenly it’s just you two in the room.
“you can talk to me you know” he whispers, you nod gently
“I know” you reply
“Attention players, lights out will be in 2 minutes, attention player lights out will be in 2 minutes”
“I should go, don’t want to run into anymore people” you joke, Young-il doesn’t laugh.
“Stay with us” you look up at him in shock
“No..i don’t want to impose.
“Oh, stop being so modest, come on we’ll find a bed for you” before you could reply to Young-il takes your hand, dragging you across to his side of the room.
“Hey guys, do we have a spare bed for y/n?” Gi-hun looks around.
“We can swap a few people around so the one beside yours is free?” he speaks, looking down at your interlocked hands. A blush creeps up onto your face as Young-il nods and leads you to two beds beside each other.
“Here, now no one can bother you” he lets go of your hand so you could take a seat on the bed, he follows sitting opposite you.
“Thank you Young-il” you speak gently. He nods in acknowledgement and the lights switch off. You turn onto your back and lay looking at the bunk above you, a nightly routine in this place.
Hours had passed and still you couldn’t find peace enough to sleep, and no amount of tossing and turning was helping that.
“Can’t sleep?” you hear from beside you. You look over in surprise and see Young-il looking at you softly.
“Me either, it’s almost impossible in here, you never know what’s going to happen” you laugh a little in response.
“What do you think tomorrows game will be?” you whisper
“I don’t know…Gi-hun thought he knew what the last game was but they changed it” you look at him confused.
“What did he think it was going to be?
“Dalgona, when he played his games, the second game they played was Dalgona” you nod in understanding.
“All I do know is that the games seem to be getting harder the more people die, they’ll take out as any as they can in the first few” A moment of silence falls between you.
“I’m scared Young-il” you whisper. He gets up slowly, careful not to make any noise and sits beside you on your bed.
“You don’t need to be scared sweetheart” you scoff
“Of course I do, I’m the clumsiest person I know, if it weren’t for Gi-hun in the first game I would’ve died tripping over my own foot”
“I’ll protect you” your eyes widen slightly
“What…why would you protect me? You have yourself to protect”
“Because…. because…” your heartbeat quickens as he struggles to find the words “Someone needs to look out for you right? Someone needs to catch you if you’re going to fall all over the place” he responds with a quiet laugh.
“Oh…right yeah of course” you laugh lightly, disappointment evident in your tone. “I should try and sleep, I have no idea what tomorrow will bring” Young-il smiles down at you, his hand stroking yours gently.
“Of course, get some rest…I’ll see you in the morning” He bring your hand up to his lips and presses a soft kiss on it causing a blush to creep onto your cheeks. Letting your hand go, he returns to his bunk, letting you both try and find enough peace to rest.

Despair - Part 2 - Frontman x Reader (Squid games)
WARNINGS: Blood, guns, knives
Notes: I hope you enjoy part 2!
TAGLIST; @so-dramatic1, @cookiesknows @goingmerry69
That night you cried yourself to sleep, clinging to the only bit of Young-il you had left, breathing in his scent…. imagining you were in his arms instead of in his cold bed alone. Without knowing it, player 149 and 120 watched over you whilst you slept, their hearts breaking for you. Everyone knew the bond and connection you and Young-Il shared, even if you thought you hid it well.
The next morning you’re awoken by the dystopian droning of the music through the speakers, it was almost as if you had fallen into an apocalypse overnight. Reluctantly you sat up, your eyes puffy and exhausted from the crying and Young-Ils jacket still tight in your grasp.
“Attention players, the fourth game will begin momentarily, please make your way to the game hall, I will now repeat the instructions” As she repeated the instructions you slowly get up from your bed, pulling on Young -Ils jacket and walk down the steps, any emotion now void from your face. Suddenly you trip over someone’s leg, you look down to see Gi-hun handcuffed to the bed frame. You gasp lightly and bend down in front of him.
“Gi-hun” he looks up at you, his eyes full of dread and misery. Over the course of the first few games as well as Young-il you had also grown close to Gi-hun, he had become much like a brother to you. “Oh Gi-hun I’m so sorry” you leap forward and wrap your arms around him. He doesn’t move to wrap his arm around you, so you pull away. “Why have they done this to you?”. Silence falls between you as he looks away. Your heart sinks so you gently nod before getting up. “Okay then…good luck in the next game Gi-hun” you whisper before joining to queue to the games hall. As you walk through an oddly shaped door you’re met with what appears to be a gumball machine. Gi-hun walks in behind you, immediately going to sit at the side of the room.
“Dear players, welcome to the fourth game, the game you will be playing this round is hide and seek, for this you will need to be split into two teams, hiders and seekers. Each player will retrieve a coloured ball from the machine, the ball that comes out is your team, we will choose starting with the lowest number, I will now repeat the instructions” you listen as she repeats the instructions, hide and seek? Surely it can’t be that bad…right? Soon enough it reaches your turn to choose a ball. You slowly walk up to the machine and turn the handle, as your ball comes out you reach down and pick it up, showing the pink guard. Red. Walking over to the red side you glance at Gi-hun only to see he was now staring directly at Dae-ho with murder in his eyes. Time passed quickly and soon enough Gi-hun had chosen his ball and returned to the Red side.
“Congratulations players, you now have your teams. To confirm, the Red team will be the seekers, and the blue team will be the ones to hide. During this game the red team will have 30 minutes to hunt down a member of the blue team…and kill them” gasps echoed through the room as the blue team looks around scared. “During the game members of the red team are not allowed to harm each other, if they do they will be eliminated” The pink guard continues “Each member of the red team must kill at minimum one member of the blue team, if they fail to do so they will be eliminated”
“how are we supposed to defend ourselves!? You can’t expect us to just run!?” Player 100 shouts. “You are correct” pink guards flood into the room holding boxes with blue bows on. “Which is why we have prepared a gift for you, inside the box you will see a key, this key will give you access to new areas in the game by unlocking different doors, however once a door has been unlocked it cannot be locked again”
“And how are we supposed to kill them!? With our bare hands?”
“To ensure the game is fair, we have prepared a gift for the red team as well” You are each handed a box with a red bow on top. As you open the box you gasp in shock. Inside sits a knife beautifully decorated “Inside each box you will find a knife” shouts of disagreement come from the blue team. “To keep the fairness of the game each player will have the chance to swap teams with one other player, the blue team will have 2 minutes to hide before the red team begin their hunt, you will now have 2 minutes to swap teams if any wish to do so” You take a deep breath and look around, switching teams was not on your cards….although you’ve never hurt anyone before…could you do this? Murder someone in cold blood. As you watch everyone scramble to find someone to swap with, your mind races to Young-il. Would he want you to do this? You imagine the look on his face, disappointment…hatred. Suddenly a young girl came up to you.
“Please miss, please will you swap with me? I can’t die here” her voice was laced with panic as she held out her blue shirt and key to you. You looked at her hesitant, why should you die in her place? Not receiving an answer from you, her face drops, and she turns to walk away. Quickly you reach out and grab her arm.
“I’ll swap” tears fill her eyes.
“Thank you thank you thank you” she rushes out as you remove your red shirt and hand it to her along with the knife. You take hers from her and put the shirt on, hanging the key around your neck.
“Good luck” she bows in respect and walks away. You couldn’t kill someone; you couldn’t even step on an ant without feeling guilty…what made you think you could take someone’s life.
“Hiders, you will now have 2 minutes to find a spot to hide before the red team enter the arena, good luck to you all” You take a deep breath and line up, walking towards the arena. As you enter you look around amazed, it felt like walking into your childhood bedroom.
“Your 2 minutes begin now” you are dragged from your daze as the other okayers scramble around you. You stand in your spot unable to move, trying to decide which direction to run in when suddenly you hear your name.
“y/n!” you look to your left and see Players 149. 120 and 222 “Come with us, we can stick together” without hesitation you rush towards them and follow them up the steps.
“3…2…1” you hear the doors burst open “your 30 minutes begins…now”
“In here” you hear Player 120, Hyun ju whisper. You each ran into the room closing the door. You notice player 222 holding her stomach.
“Are you okay Jun-Hee?” you ask, concerned for her wellbeing.
“I think so…thank you” you nod and look towards the opposite side of the room noticing a door. You rush to your feet as you hear screams echo down the hall, adrenaline starting to rush through your veins. Ripping the key from around your neck you try to unlock the door, only coming to the realisation that your key did in fact not fit…they had set you up to fail…each and every one of you.
“Y/n, what is it…why won’t the door open?” you hear player 149 ask. You turn around scared.
“My key…it doesn’t fit”
“What?”
“The keyhole is shaped like a triangle…. i have a square…it won’t fit”
“Wait” Hyun Ju speaks as she lifts up her key. “I have circle” she looks at player 149 and reaches for her key. “May i?” Player 149 nods, allowing 120 to take the key from around her neck. She holds the key up “Mrs Jang has triangle! Each door must have a different keyhole, if we work together, we’ll be able to find the exit!” She hurriedly walks towards the door, and you step aside allowing her to try the triangle key. With success she opens the door and you usher Mrs Jang and Jun-Hee through before running through yourself. The next 10 minutes feel like a blur, running, hiding and fighting for your lives yet somehow along the way you got separated from them. Now you stand in a corner alone, the body of a fellow player drowned in blood at your feet and fear running deeper through your veins. To your left you heard a scream and to your right a manic laugh ran down the hall, your heart was beating faster than it ever had, the sound running to your ears as your blood rushed pulsing heavily as panic sets in. You drop to the floor and out your head between your hands trying to block out the noise, until a shadow eclipses your view. Slowly you lift your head up and your eyes widen. Infront of you stands player 124, sweat dripping down his face, a knife at his side dribbling blood to the floor breathing heavily as he stares at you. Your breath catches in your throat as he starts to inch towards you. You attempt to shuffle back and create distance for yourself only for your back to meet the wall. As he inches closer you grip at Young-Ils jacket, pulling it tighter around yourself. He points the knife towards you as he inches closer.
“Player 001’s bitch, right? Shame he didn’t make it back huh” your jaw tightens at the mentions of Young-il.
“Don’t talk about him” he laughs and bends down in front of you
“Or what? What you gonna kill me?” he brings the knife to your cheek, running it down to your neck slowly slicing you. You wince in pain “Not so tough now your precious player 001 isn’t here to protect you huh?” he brings the knife to your neck, digging the tip in drawing blood. “Pretty boy must’ve had his brains blown out…or maybe he shot himself to get away from yo- “. Anger coursed through your veins and all you could see was red. Suddenly you bring your hand up and lay a punch beneath his jaw, causing him to fall backwards and drop his knife. You jump up onto your feet and rush past him, and as do, you land a kick to his face hopefully breaking his nose and pick up his knife, running with all your strength.

Hiiii !! First time requesting ngl
I've wondered if you can write about Inho x reader, ofc, where the reader meets inho in the games, starting to feel attracted to him, sees him choking that guy in mingle game (he starts feeling smth for her since he entered the games disguised as young il), and like, Inho had to get out of the games and had to stage his death and now reader thinks he's dead, and when the reader gets to the final game of s3, she uses the same technique to choke a guy and kill him as Inho did, and he just watches her from the room with the vips and gets all excited, and after she wins the games the frontman wants to see her and reveals himself, ending in a make out sesion. Just if youre ok with writing this ofc (ik its a long request sorry 😭🙏🏼)
Hiii!! of course i love this idea!!. I'm going to write it as a series, that way i can add some emotion to it!
This is the first part, the second part will be up soon!
DANGEROUS INSPIRATION Part 1 - In-ho x fem! Reader (Squid games)
WARNINGS: Mention of death and dying
It was your fault you’re in here, no one else’s, I mean who chooses to take out a loan of 4.5 billion won anyway? Yet the thought of blaming anyone else, your parents, the loan sharks, even your siblings was better than accepting the truth. So here you are, faced with the choice. Leave or stay. Leave and face the harsh truths of reality and maybe lose a finger or two or stay. Stay and watch hundreds more die, putting yourself in the firing line as well just to win the prize money. Without another second of thought your hand slams down on the ‘O’ and you are handed a blue badge. Groans of defeat come from the ‘X’s but you didn’t care. You have to win that money…no matter what it takes. One by one the remaining players took their turns, thankfully more choosing to stay than leave, until it came down to the last player. The vote was now tied so the future of the games relied on him and him alone. You watched him as he walked down the centre aisle, his movements concise and meaningful, and as his hand reached up to choose his vote you admired the veins that decorated it. His hand hovered over ‘X’ and your heart sank slightly, until he swiftly changed his mind to press ‘O’. You and the other ‘O’s cheered before retreating back to your bunks. Your mind raced back to red light green light and the man who saved you all, nobody believed him I mean who would? A crazy man shouting that there were people here to kill you playing a children’s game, then you each watched your fellow players fall one by one. Guess he wasn’t so crazy after all. Then, your mind wondered to the vote, the final vote to be more precise. He did something to you, his presence, it felt different…stronger, it stirred up feelings you had long suppressed. Suddenly a commotion starts to your right, two men. One saluting and the other in front of him, both of their sleeves rolled up. You shook your head deciding to pay them no notice, that was until you saw him…player 001. He looked even better in the light. He and a few others were walking up to the man who shouted during the previous game. Should you join them? Internally you battled with yourself, of course not wanting to make a fool of yourself until finally deciding to approach. As you get closer you overhear the conversation.
“The ones who chose umbrella must have been done for, right?” Silence filled the air as player 001 let out a short laugh and stand up, his back brushing with your front startling him. He turned to face you and your cheeks flush.
“Oh, I’m sorry are you okay miss?” the rest of the group now turn to look at you. You nod gently.
“Yes sir, I’m sorry for eavesdropping…I just wanted to see if I could join you all?” you look towards player 456. He nods slowly, cautious of you. Player 001 gestures for you to take a seat alongside him.
“What is your name player 322?” you take a seat nodding graciously at player 001.
“My name is y/n, and yours sir?”
“Seong Gi-hun” As you all become acquainted you hadn’t realised the curious eyes of Player 001 on your back. You turn to him ripping him out of his gaze.
“What is your name sir?” you ask quietly, butterflies erupting in your stomach as he smiles softly at you.
“Young-il” he reaches his hand put to shake yours. You take his hand feeling the electricity flowing to your hand as you do, “It’s nice to meet you y/n” He turns your hand, placing a gentle kiss on it taking your breath away.
“Attention players, lights out will be in 30 minutes, please proceed to your assigned bunk, I will now repeat the instructions” As the voice repeats the instructions you tear your eyes away from Young-ils and stand, ready to walk towards your bunk. You turn towards Gi-Hun.
“Goodnight, sir, thank you for letting me join you” you bow your head respectfully and retreat to your bunk. As you lay looking at the bottom of the bunk above you, you couldn’t help the butterflies racing in your stomach. The feeling of Young-ils lips lingered on your hand and it took all of your strength not to bring it to your lips and kiss where he had. Thoughts of him infiltrated your mind all night, leading you into a very peaceful sleep.
You are awoken abruptly by the same music that awoke you yesterday.
“Dear players, the second game with begin shortly, please make your way to the game hall” You let out a shaky breath dreading the next game, you had no idea what you were walking into but either way you had to ensure you made it out. As you walk through the doors to the game hall you are greeted with two rainbow circles with 5 stations along the way. Behind you the doors close with a loud bang, and the announcement began.
“Welcome to todays game, the Six- legged pentathlon. You will get into groups of 5, each group will then have 5 minutes to complete a full circle, to do this you must play 5 games: Ddakji, biseokchigi, gonggi, paengi chigi(spinning top) and Jegi. A different person must complete each game. You now have 10 minutes to form a group” You look around hopelessly searching for at least 1 person to form a team with but to no avail. Suddenly you hear your name called from behind you. You turn around to see Gi-Hin calling you over to join their group. A smile of relief washes over your face and you rush to join them. Your team was now complete, and you each decided amongst you who would play which game, yours being Gonggi. Waiting was the hardest, watching each time either win or lose was taxing. Yet everyone seemed to come together and cheer each other on and for the faintest moment you forget where you were, until they didn’t cross the finish line of course. Soon enough the time came for your team to go, you all stood up and got buckled in ready at the line waiting for the starting gun. When the shot went off you all walk in sync to the first station, your mind all fuzzy as Young-Ils hand was wrapped around your waist. All was going well and both stations had been passed on the first turn, now it was your turn. You instruct everyone to get onto their knees so you can better reach the table and begin. Your heart was beating a million miles an hour, you didn’t want to mess up because if you mess up you condemn everyone else and that’s something you couldn’t do. Young-il could sense your nervousness. As you go to flip them onto the back of your hand you fail.
“No!” you cry out “fuck no!” you cry and rush to bring all the pieces together again to start over.
“Hey hey” you hear from beside you and look to your right. “We have time, you’re okay” Young-il speaks softly to you, you look at him unsure “I promise.” He sends a reassuring smile your way and you nod, turning back and starting again. The others could sense you rushing so they each whisper out ‘don’t rush’ and ‘it’s okay’. A cry of relief runs through the team as you complete the game. You move on, young-il was next. You watch as his face contorts and his arms flex as he ties the rope around the spinning top. His arm occasionally bumps with yours sending shivers through your body and as he takes his turn the spinning top falls. Silence falls upon the group.
“fuck” Young-Il whispers. You all look up at the time seeing 3 minutes left. Your heart jumps into your throat.
“It’s okay lets go and get it” Gi-Hun shouts. You all walk to get it and return to the line. Young-il tries again, failing once again, only this time throwing the spinning to behind you. Internally you groan and refuse to look at the timer knowing it will only make you more nervous. Once the group had retrieved it Young-il starts again.
“Hey” you whisper. He looks at you, his eyes easily something you could drown in. “Its okay, don’t stress, relax…we have time…I promise” he smiles softly at you and continues to tie the rope. This time he succeeds, and the group yell out in victory, quickly moving onto the final round. Jegi. Watching Gi-hun try to make each kick was stressful but nonetheless you counted with the rest of the group.
“1…2…3…4…” Gi-Hun kicks the Jegi too far out of reach for him to kick and your heart drops. You were done for. Suddenly you are dragged to the ground, falling on top of Young-il as he uses his other leg to help Gi-Hun kick the final kick.
“5! He got it”! everyone shouts. Young-Ils arm wrapped around your shoulder as you still lay on top of him, your eyes connected.
“Come on let’s go!!” Gi-Hun shouts as you race to cross the finish line. Both you and Young-Il leap up, walking in sync with the rest of the team crossing the line when the timer hit Zero. You drop to your knees in relief bringing down Young-il with you.
“Fuck” you whisper breathlessly, sweat dripping down your forehead as the guards unlock your ankle cuffs.
“Hey, we made it!” you look to your side and see Young-il leaning back on his hands.
“Thanks to you…if you hadn’t of got that last kick in, I fear we’d all be dead” he laughs at you
“Well, someone has to be the hero of the day, right?” you laugh and nudge his shoulder. After a few seconds he rises to his feet and offers you his hands, helping you get up. “Come on, we need to head back” you take his hand silently thanking him and return to the dorms, not realising your hands never parted.

Despair - Part 1 - Frontman x reader (Squid games)
WARNINGS: SEASON 3 SPOILERS!! Guns, mention of death. heartbreak, lots of crying.
Notes: What did everyone think of season 3!? it took me on a whirlwind of emotions i'm not ready to acknowledge yet :) Anyway this will be a series like the Amorous series which you can find the first part of here. I hope you enjoy!
Seconds turned into minutes, and minutes turned into hours and hours felt like days since Gi-Hun, Young-il and the others left to fight for your freedom. You tried your best to join but Young-il wouldn’t let you, no matter how much you begged, no matter how much your promised to stay safe he left you. With a soft kiss goodbye and parting tears you watched as he walked out the door, shooting a final glance back at you. Each passing moment felt like an eternity, until suddenly Dae-ho runs in. You rush to your feet.
“Dae-Ho!? What’s happening where is everyone else?” he stares at you, his lips moving but nothing coming out as his whole body shakes. Calmly you place your hand on his arm and speak to him, slower this time. “Dae-ho, I need to know where the others are…do you know?” he nods his head but still doesn’t speak. Looking down you notice his arms full of ammo and your heart sinks knowingly. “Have they run out of ammo?” He nods again. Every solution swirls through your head as you figure out what to do, clearly Dae-ho is in no fit state to get this to them. “Can I have the ammo? I’ll take it to them?”
“Y/n no! you don’t even know where they are!” you hear player 149 speak. Dae-ho drops the ammo and rushes past you to a bed in the far corner. As you bend down to pick up the ammo player 149 rushes over and places her hand over yours, stopping you.
“Please, you have to let me, Young-il could be-“
“Young-il would want you to stay here and be safe” You look at her, you know she’s right but every fibre in your body is telling you to go. Slowly you shake your head and tug her arm away from yours.
“I’m sorry, but if there’s even the slightest chance of saving him, I have to” Before she could reply you pick up the ammo and rush towards the door. Suddenly, before you could reach the door pink soldiers came rushing in pointing their guns towards you and the others.
“Everyone on the floor now!” You stand still not moving until you heard player 149 shout.
“Y/N please…do as they say…. this is no way to die” Turning towards her, you let a single tear slip from your eye but continue to stand. Around you pink guards begin to line either side of the dorms, their guns pointing at each person. Behind you, you feel the tip of a gun press into your back.
“Player 118, on the floor now!” Defeated you drop the ammo and fall to your knees, it felt as if everything was in slow motion. Your cheek touched the cold floor, your eyes lingering on the door praying for young-il to run through and save you. You knew though…deep down that Young-il wasn’t coming back. Something in you turned then, all the light you held drained away, all the kindness…all the hope and joy…everything.
Soon after the guards received orders to return to their stations, leaving you all to return to your bunks. As you rise to your feet player 149 rushes over to you.
“Y/n honey. Are you okay?” you look down at her saying nothing, your eyes emotionless, your silence deafening as you walk past her walking not towards your bunk but Young-Ils and sit where he once did. You lay on your side, resting your head against his pillow which still smelt like him and close your eyes. Everything comes back, all the memories…the yearning…. the secret touches when you thought no one else could see…the way he held you when you finally gave in to your impulses…everything. So you let go, you let the tears stream down your face as you hold the pillow tighter knowing that was all you had left of him. Suddenly the doors open and more pink guards rush into the room, this time holding a coffin. You slowly sit up, wiping your tears and watch as they place the coffin in the centre of the room before leaving once again. Confused like everyone else, you walk over to the coffin, looking around to see who had died yet seeing everyone very much alive.
“It must be one of the players that didn’t make it” Player 120 spoke. You breath in a sharp breath as she opens the lid of the coffin, Gi-Hun.
“No…” you whisper. Player 120 leans down to check his pulse.
“He’s alive” breaths of relief fill the air. “Here, help me bring him over to his bunk” you grab one of his arms and help them pull hm over to his bunk, placing him down carefully.
“I’ll stay with him” you speak. The others nod and begin to walk away. You turn your head to look at Gi-hun, blood covered his face, paired with blood running down the side of his head. “Oh Gi-hun” you whisper, taking his hand in yours. As you go to sit on the floor next to him you hear player 120 speak from the centre of the room.
“y/n…” reluctantly you look away from Gi-hun and over to player 120. She was holding something in her hand…it looked like a jacket. “I think this is for you...” Confused you leave Gi-Huns side and walk over to them. As you get closer your breathing becomes shallow, and your heart falls to your stomach. In her hand she held a jacket covered in blood. Beside her players 149 and 222 look towards you, pity clear in their eyes.
“Why would this be for me?” you whisper. Gently she places the jacket in your hand, and you look at her.
“I’m sorry…truly” you blink away the tears forming and look down. As you unfold the jacket your heart shatters and your breath catches in your throat. Looking down through tear filled eyes you see it….001. Falling to your knees you bring the jacket to your chest, screaming out in anguish as the tears fell once more.

Illicit Affairs - Frontman x guard reader
WARNINGS: 18+! Slight smut and mention of smut, swearing, self doubt, love
Wordcount: 1.2k
NOTES: Requests are open if anybody would like to request anything!
‘Make sure nobody sees you leave, hood over your head keep your eyes down’’
It was invigorating…to start with. Once all the players had gone to bed In-ho would summon you to his suite. He made you promise to keep it a secret, he didn’t want anyone to find out about you, for your own protection perhaps. You couldn’t blame him; he had a reputation to upkeep and sleeping with his masked officer won’t do him any favours. Oh, but the nights spent with him were unforgettable, the way he made you feel, the sounds he forced you to make, his gentle side, his rough side you loved it all. But good things come to an end, right? Each night you had to slip out hoping none of the other guards saw you leave, if they did you knew you’d wind up dead, and so as you return to your room each night you lay on your back reliving the hour before, butterflies swell in your stomach, your lips curled into a smile you couldn’t hold back, then it faltered slightly…for after all this was only sex, nothing more.
‘Take the road less travelled by, tell yourself you can always stop’
Each time you saw him broke your heart just a little more, each time you heard the door close behind you you wanted to run back in and never leave. Yet as the days went on you found yourself staying in his company longer than the night before, some night you’d never leave. Instead, he’d take care of you, clean you up and hold you for a while until eventually he drifted off to sleep. Everything felt perfect, yet you’re too smart to know that this was nothing more than comfort because he was alone…right? It was a battle, a war between your head and your heart. Your heart yearns for him, longs to be kissed by him and know there was nothing in it but love, but your head is telling you to run, run far away and keep running until the thought of him diminishes. Your head was telling you to stop, to let go, but your heart clung on with so much power even the strongest man couldn’t rip it away.
‘What started in beautiful rooms, ends with meetings in parking lots, and that’s the thing about illicit affairs and clandestine meetings and longing stares, its born from just one single glace but it dies and it dies and it dies a million little times’’
You met him on the first day of the job, he gave you your stations and your orders just like anyone else, yet he asked you to stay behind. Your nerves were high wondering hat you had already done so badly the frontman wanted to see you. Instead, he came towards you slowly, lifted your mask and just looked at you. Nothing was said but under the intense gaze through his mask you felt something, butterflies? Nerves? Or maybe just a sudden rush of being under someone’s gaze for so long. A blush rose to your cheeks, and a small chuckle escapes his lips, he handed you back your mask and stepped back ordering you to your station. What you didn’t see though was his gaze following you out the door. That was his first game as frontman, and each year he’d ensure you came back. On the third year your position changed. Masked Officer. Directly under his control. He knew he’d get you, he always gets what he wants. And so you fell into his trap, you walked to his room expecting a meeting about your new role and what to expect, instead he had you tied up in his bed with his head between your legs. Then bent over the kitchen counter…then with his hand around your throat as you rode him chasing your next release. From that night onwards you were in his room every night, for a business meeting of course. Yet as time went on, the butterflies began to die out. The need for him although still burned…didn’t burn as hot as it did before. Perhaps because you knew you were falling so you tried to distance yourself only to be pulled back in by his magnetism, his ‘come here baby’ before he kissed you and swept you off your feet, only to be pushed out the door an our later once he found his release.
‘and you wanna scream don’t call me kid, don’t call me baby look at this godforsaken mess that you made me, you showed me colours I can’t see with anyone else, don’t call me kid, don’t call me baby look at this idiotic fool you made me, you taught me a secret language I can’t speak with anyone else’
‘Baby’ slipped off his tongue like it were an ancient curse, yet an ancient curse you wanted to hear every night. Often the whisper of it got caught up in the heat and desire of your bodies entangled with each other but you always heard it. His ‘oh fuck baby’ when he reaches his high rolled off his tongue like a drug you want to endorse in for the rest of your life. New dimensions reached when his tongue worked his magic, new realms of pleasure when he fucked you with his mask on, It was dangerous, it was sexy…it was legendary. It was everything you wanted to hold onto because no matter how hard you tried to stop yourself you fell. You fell hard and the repercussions were going to hurt. You knew this and yet you saw no other way out. You had to tell him. The more you saw him, the more you fucked him, the more he held you in his arms the deeper you fell. Deep down you knew he never meant to call you baby, it was a spur of the moment, but my god did it feel good when he whispered it in your ear before wrapping his hand around your throat. Deep down you knew he could never love you.
‘And you know damn well, I would’ve ruined myself a million little times’
With Inho you never could be your true self, your true self that wanted to bake brownies in his kitchen and watch as your puppy comes running in covered in mud, your true self that so badly wanted to feel his love…your true self that could never admit you were hurting yourself by loving him. So instead, you made a façade, all you wanted was sex, all you wanted was to be his obedient little worker on her knees whenever he wanted. Because this way you didn’t have to let him go, you didn’t have to work everyday under his watch knowing you couldn’t touch him, knowing you wouldn’t be back in his room screaming his name and it killed you. Eventually you’d end up killing the real you, the kind you, the you who so badly wanted a family, the you whose heart was so innocent before the games…the you you wanted inho to see. Instead, you go over the same routine every day, silently hoping and silently praying that one day…one day he might fall for you like you have him. That’s never the way illicit affairs end though…is it?

Come back to me - Frontman x fem! reader
WARNINGS: Swearing, depression, alcohol and drinking, Men being creepy, mentions of guns and killing,
Wordcount: 1.4k
‘I once believed that everything in the world was pure, joyful, happy even, yet as I grow older I see the smallest cracks in even the most pristine of things. Outlook on life had certainly taken its toll and with that taken a toll on myself, I struggle to see who I am anymore…to see who I want to be.’
Leaning back in your chair you read over what you had written, conflicted beyond measure. Everything seemed dark, you felt trapped yet trapped in a dream. Often you found yourself running away with your thoughts to try and escape the bitter truth that was your reality. A reality you no longer wanted to be a part of, but one where the only escape was death. So as you sit at your desk, letting your mind spew onto the paper you silently pray to any god out there to release you from this hell. Suddenly you hear a knock at the door, you stand up still dressed in your black, mid thigh tight dress perfectly dressing up your curves, walk over to the kitchen counter and take your last swig of whiskey before continuing to the door. However before you open the door you needed one more thing. Your mask. Black as night, curved in all the right places to intimidate any onlooker. You turn around to see it perfectly perched on your table so you pick it up, put it on careful not to remove any makeup and answer the door. On the other side stood a pink guard with a square mask.
“It’s time ma’am” you take in a quick breath and nod, closing the door behind you.
“Lead the way” You follow the guard through the many, many halls you knew all too well, your heels clicking as you walk confirming your authority to any who question it. Soon enough you’re led to a set of closed doors and your heartbeat began to quicken. You could hear laughter and cheers from inside the room already which only made your dread grow stronger. As the guard opens the door silence quickly followed, and all eyes landed on you. Taking a deep breath, you walked through the crowd and into the centre of the room, remembering everything In-ho taught you before he left. Behind you stood a tall screen, a screen you had seen many lives taken on and, in your pocket, you held the remote.
“Ladies and gentlemen, it is my honour to welcome you here tonight. Unfortunately, the frontman couldn’t be with us” boos and groans of disappointment filled the air “But” silence once again “you will shortly see why”. You take the remote out of your pocket and turn the screen on. As it’s light illuminated the room short gasps fell upon the group. “I trust you will enjoy your time with us and get every pleasure imaginable during your stay, now please take your seats, the fun will begin momentarily” Cheers and laughter once again filled the room as you walk across to the bar, pouring yourself a Chivas regal smooth. Slowly the guests made their way to their seats, you join them sitting at your designate station making sure your radio and gun were nearby just in case. As you take your sit and rest your legs up on the couch, Gi-Hun came up on the screen. Your jaw tightened at the sight of him.
“Looks like someone might be in need of another drink, server” the guest beside you notice your stance on Gi-Hun and clicked his fingers ordering the servers to place another drink in your hand.
“No really I’m fine” you say faking a smile through gritted teeth.
“Sure, seems like it, take the drink, don’t need our frontwoman lacking now do we?” he whispers in your ear causing an uncomfortable shiver to run down your spine. He takes the drink from the server and grabs your free hand, placing the drink in it. As he pulls away he drags his fingers across yours, your breath gets stuck in your throat and you don’t know whether to punch him or shoot him. ‘treat them like your parents, respect them, listen to them and everything will work out darling’ In-hos voice echoed in your mind, one wrong move and this whole place blows up and you along with it. So you smile politely and look towards the man.
“Thank you sir” you nod towards him and he reclines back in his seat. You watch on the screen as the guards lead the players to the game room which was suitably decorated for this game. The Six-legged pentathlon.
“And what game may this be madam Frontwoman?” you hear from across the room.
“The Six-Legged pentathlon sir, personally one of my favourites, the players get into groups of 5, each player has to play a specific game within a certain time limit, don’t meet the time limit? Don’t make it to tomorrows game. It’s simple really” Hums of approval float through the room.
“And if Hwang In-ho doesn’t meet the time limit? What then? Can’t kill their own frontman now can they?”
“In-ho is extremely vigilant and will do anything to ensure his team makes it across the finish line in time”
“Then lets make this interesting” Your heart drops. The eldest VIP stands and walks over to you, resting his hands on the arm of the couch and leaning over you.
“If Hwang In-Ho doesn’t make it over the finish line in time, you will be the one to shoot him” Your breath catches in your throat.
“Sir, whilst I appreciate –“
“No no, no arguments, he wanted to play the game, so lets play the game” You’re left speechless as he returns to his seat, sitting down smugly. You were so lost in your thoughts that you hadn’t realised the game had begun until a gunshot echoed through the room. Dragging your eyes up to the screen as cheers fill the air you silently prayed it wasn’t in-hos group. A breath of relief leaves your body as you realise his group will be going last. You pick up both drinks beside you, downing one after the other before getting up to get yourself another.
“Easy tiger, don’t want you to mess up your shot now do we?” you grimace as his words run through you. 7 Drinks and 36 groups later it was now In-ho’s turn. Never before had your heart beat so fast, it took all of your strength not to pass out. You flinch as the starting gun shoots signalling the start of their game. The ice in your glass had begun to melt from the heat radiating from your hands, yet as you watched the others fly through their games a sense of ease blanketed over you. Now, it was In-Ho’s turn, spinning top. You watch intently as he takes his turn, your heart dropping as it failed. They still had time, that was good and so you watch as he tried a second time. Fail.
“No in-ho” you whisper to yourself. You watch again as he failed a third time, only this time you noticed something the others didn’t. Slowly you walk down the centre of the room towards the screen. In-ho was using his right hand, but he was left handed? Confusion runs through your body as you watch him fail another time.
“Better get your gun cleaned up nice for him doll” the elderly VIP laughed. Tightly you clench your glass and stand watching as he takes another turn. Behind you you hadn’t realised the elderly vip come up behind you until you felt his breath on your neck.
“Maybe I’ll take his place as frontman hmm? Wouldn’t you like that? After you put a pretty little bullet through-“
“YES!” you scream out and push him away as In-ho completed his game.
“Games not over yet sweetheart, don’t get too excited” you look at the timer and your heart sinks. 30 seconds. You pray Gi-hun knows what he’s doing. With each kick you counted quietly.
“1…2…3…4…” you gasp as the shuttlecock is kicked too far out of Gi-Huns reach. Quickly you rise to your feet as you watch In-ho help and used their two legs that were tied together to hit it.
“5” you whisper, tears of relief welling up. They cross the finish line with zero seconds to spare.
“Looks like our frontman isn’t as stupid as he seems.”
“No…he knows what he’s doing” The VIPs begin to clear out the room leaving you alone to watch In-ho and his team return to the dorms. You walk up to the screen, pressing your hand against it as in-ho comes on.
“Please come back to me”

Are you done playing the hero? - Frontman x reader
WARNINGS: Guns, mention of death, heartbreak, inner turmoil
Wordcount: 772
NOTE: in honour of the final season of squid games tomorrow i am going to write a few short one shots and a couple of longer ones so tonight will be active! I hope you enjoy!
Why did it have to come to this? Why of all things did it have to be this? YOU, stood in front of the man you placed your trust in, the man you openly gave your heart to, watching as he stares into your soul. No emotion, no pain, no fear as you point the gun at his head trying to find the courage to do it, to end the games once and for all… to shoot the man you had fallen in love with. If you could call it that, was it love or just infatuation? A crush you knew would pass.
“After everything? This is how you want it to end?” his voice sends shivers down your spine. You clench your jaw and tighten your grip on the gun.
“I never wanted it to end this way; I wanted it to end with you by my side fighting for the good!” tears threaten to spill. “not becoming the bad” you whisper and watch as his demeanour drops slightly only to harden up again.
“You know you’ll never win y/n, you can shoot me, and I’ll be dead but the VIP’S…they’ll just find a new frontman I’m thinking Gi-Hun would be in their books, don’t you?” he speaks.
“Gi-Hun is dead YOU killed him” you raise your voice stepping closer to him. A knowing laugh radiates from him.
“Oh, that’s right, you haven’t had the chance to go back have you” confusion falls upon your face as he pulls out a remote. As he presses a button a large screen shows up in front of you and on it you see a familiar face. Relief washes over you and your guard lowers just enough for In-Ho to take the gun from your grip, twisting your arm behind your back and forcing you onto the floor. He kneels on your back and leans down to your ear.
“I told you you wouldn’t win princess” you hate to admit it, but heat pooled at the bottom of your stomach as the words left his lips. “I think it’s time to reunite you with your little hero, don’t you?”
“Gi-Hun isn’t my hero”
“Right, because nobody saves the princess but herself” you huff in response and struggle to get out of his grip. “The more you struggle the tighter my grip will get” you stop struggling and he loosens his grip. He gets up from your back getting to his feet and drags you up with him so you are face to face. His hand reaches up to gently stroke away the stray hairs that had fallen loose from you messy bun, humming with satisfaction. As you look into his eyes you can still see the man you fell for, Young-Il, you can still see the kindness, the caring and the protecting young-il, the man you so desperately wanted back. You didn’t notice the tears falling until his hands wipes one away ripping you from your thoughts.
“Why don’t you just kill me? If that’s what the games about clearly I’ve lost so just go ahead and kill me In-ho” you gently cry. A moment of silence passes, nobody moves, nobody speaks, barely a breath was let out.
“After everything we’ve been through…you really think I want to kill you?” he whispers. You look at him, tears clouding your vision.
“We haven’t been through anything…what I went through, who I fell in love with…that isn’t you, I didn’t go through it with you, it was Young-Il.” The words hit him hard, his face falls and a single tear falls down his cheek. You step forward and wipe it away, and without in-hos knowledge you take his gun from his pocket and step back taking off the safety.
“It’s still me y/n, he’s still in here…if you kill me…you kill him too” those words shattered your heart. Young-il had taken your heart without asking, he cared for you, he protected you…he loved you back…he quickly became your world and you were about to destroy it in seconds.
“get on your knees in-ho” you whisper through the tears. In-ho drops to his knees slowly Infront of you, you step forward and press the barrel of his gun to his forehead, watching as he looked up at you with tears in his eyes. Was he scared? Looking into his eyes brought back everything, the first time you met him with Gi-Hun, the night he slept next to you because you were scared, the first kiss you shared when you were separated and reunited in mingle…the love…the desperation…the man he was.
“Are you done playing the hero In-Ho?

Only you - In-Ho x reader Part 2
youtube
Hi! i know a few people wanted a part 2 of Only you so here it is! i had so much fun writing this, i absolutely recommend listening to the audio as you read, it will 100% get you more in your feels!
Wordcount: 2.2k
WARNINGS: Heartbreak and soft in-ho
I hope you enjoy!
Endless tears, a battlefield of smashed glass and a bleeding-heart longing to reunite with its soul tie but held back by your mind. There is nothing more you want in this world than to run into In-ho’s arms, to wrap your arms around his neck and breath in his scent again as all your worries turn to dust. To have his arms wrapped so tightly around you it felt impossible to let go…to hear his soft whispers telling you everything will be okay as he runs his hands through your hair….to have him…all of him in everyway you could have him. But you had come to far to let your heart win. All the nights spent cursing his name, all the nights spent ripping up your photos together only to tape them back together so you have something to hold on to, all the nights you spent praying to whatever power above to take the wheel because the hurt in your heart weighed too heavy…and all you could do was stand there and let it drag you further and further down until you could go no further. You knew you had to drag yourself out of the cave because no one was coming to save you, no one ever was coming to save you, you just convinced yourself they would, so you had a reason to wait…a reason to put off moving on…a reason to hold onto what was no longer yours.
Weeks had gone by since the last bouquet of flowers were delivered to your door, since in-hos name last appeared on your screen….since your heart was left shattered on the bedroom floor, and with every passing day it hurt a little less when you get a scent of his aftershave, and with every passing day you built yourself up so you could be where you are now, about to walk the stage at your graduation. The last few days had been the most incredible few days you’ve had in a while. You spent it with your mum, going for lunch, shopping for your graduation outfits…thinking of anything but In-ho and you didn’t realise it but…he hadn’t crossed your mind…not once. As your name is called a smile graces your face and you walk across the stage towards the Professor, he hands you your diploma, congratulating you. You thank him before walking off the stage being mindful not to break your ankles and slip as you walk down the steps. As you return to your seat a sense of relief washes over you…no more essays…no more dissertations…you were free. Until you begin your job next week that is. Soon enough everyone had their diplomas and families were rushing around congratulating one another, you searched the crowd trying to find your mum, but her height made it difficult she was easily lost in large crowds. You make your way outside shooting smiles and congratulations to your former classmate as you manoeuvre your way through the crowd, yet as you reach the doors a hand wraps around your wrist. Your breath hitches in your throat in surprise as you turn to look behind you, yet when you did you saw no one. Confused, you shake your head and push open the doors, squinting as the bright sunlight floods into your eyes.
“y/n! y/n! over here!” you hear from the side of you. You turn your head to see your mum rushing over to you. She pulls you in for a hug, one you didn’t know you needed.
“I’m so so proud of you darling…your father would be as well” the mention of your father makes your heart sink a little but alas a smile still graced your face, today is a day for positivity. You both pull away from the hug
“I’m free finally!” she laughs gently as you take a glass of champagne from the table at the side.
“Indeed, but I have one final surprise for you” you look at her confused
“What? What surprise?”
“If I told you it wouldn’t be a surprise now would it? Now put this on” She hands you a blindfold
“No, nu-uh no way” you step back whilst taking a swig of your champagne
“It’ll be worth it, I promise” you roll your eyes and chug the last of your drink before putting your empty glass on the side.
“Fine” A wide small adorns your mums face as you take the blindfold from her hands. Once tied, she takes your hand leading you through the crowd to what you can only assume is a car. She slams the door shut and gets in the other side, telling the driver where to go. You both sit in comfortable silence and soon enough the car came to a stop. Thanking the driver, your mum helps you out of the car.
“Now there are some steps so step up when I say” You nod
“Step” you step
“Step”
“Step”
“Step”
“Jeez mum how many steps are there!?” She laughs
“Just a few more darling” You Walk up the final steps and she removes your blindfold. As your eyes adjust to the light you gasp in surprise. Before you stood the most beautiful manor house you had ever seen, adorned with rose bushes and a door that looked so delicate you were scared to touch it.
“How could you afford this?” you turn to your mum
“That’s no matter for you to worry about darling, follow me” as you go to reply the doors open and you’re met with all of your friends and family, including your brother who had been deployed overseas for military service. Before speaking to anyone you run into his arms, he picks you up and spins you around. Happy tears start to fall from your eyes as he lets you down.
“What are you doing here!?”
“I was dragged in by my ankles” you laugh and slap his arm
“Happy graduation” he pulls a small gift out of his pocket and hands it to you. Your heart sinks as you open the box. Your fathers final Military medal before he died on deployment.
“He is so proud of you y/n, he knows how hard you fought to be here, he wouldn’t want this to go to anyone else” before you could reply your mother comes up behind you and wipes your tears.
“No tears today darling, now I have someone to introduce your brother to, a few of your old friends are here why don’t you go and speak to them?” Your brother rolls his eyes mouthing ‘help me’ as he’s dragged away no doubt to a daughter of one of your mothers’ friends. You laugh and shrug your shoulders before looking around the room until your eyes land on the champagne table holding your fathers medal close. You pick up a glass and take a sip, turning around and taking everything in. A few weeks ago you never would’ve imagined yourself here, in a room full of people celebrating you. You smile to yourself as you notice your best friend in the crowd waving you over. Finishing your drink, you place the empty glass down, place your fathers medal in your purse and walk over to her, soon enough you were in conversations that lasted hours. Soon enough the sun had gone down and a soft orange glow decorated the room and the chandelier sparkled in the moonlight. You could feel your social battery draining and noticed some stairs leading to the balcony, so you quietly excuse yourself and walk out towards the balcony feeling the warm breeze rush over you. The view was incredible, overlooking the ocean and you had never felt more at peace. The sound of the waves crashing relaxed you in ways you never thought possible. Soon enough your mind began to wander about what was to come after tonight, and although exciting you couldn’t help but feel on edge.
“you always did love the ocean” you heart stops “listening to the waves…looking out on the horizon” your heart begins to beat quicker and quicker with every word he speaks yet you don’t move, your eyes locked on the waves below. You saw his shadow out the corner of your eye, it was so familiar…yet so different. It took all of your courage not to look at him.
“What are you doing here in-ho?” your voice was shaky as you spoke.
“Your mother invited me”
“you could’ve said no”
“I promised I’d be here to celebrate every win”
“We both know you’re not one to keep promises” you turn to walk inside but you’re stopped by the feeling of In-hos hand wrapped around yours and you hate to admit it but his touch still sends shockwaves through your body.
“Y/n please”
“Is that what you’ve resulted to…begging?”
“if that’s what it takes to get you to listen to me” You pause for a moment before yanking your hand out of his and walking back down to the ballroom. You observe the room and see your brother dancing with a beautiful girl, his face lit up like a Christmas tree as he watches her roll her head back in laughter, and your best friend being swept of her feet by her fiancé. As you watch them you can’t help but feel the pit in your stomach start to open and all the feelings you felt after In-ho started to arise.
“May I have this dance?” You look up and are met with a pair of eyes you hadn’t seen in 3 years.
“Jun-Ho!?”
“Hi y/n, happy graduation” you leap into his arms. You and Jun-ho had been close friends since high-school, he’s the reason you met in-ho. “So, may I have this dance?” he holds his hand out
“Yes! Yes of course,” He places his hands on your waist as yours reach around his neck and you begin to sway to the music. Whilst you dance you told him everything that had happened since you last saw him, leaving out the part where in-ho broke your heart. As he twirled you around you close your eyes and feel the breeze hit you as you spin, getting lost in the moment expecting him to pull you back. Yet instead another pair of hands take over and electricity runs through your veins, the only kind you felt with In-Ho. You open your eyes and everything came crashing down, all your built up walls, the barriers you built to protect yourself, all the feelings, the anger the guilt…the love… everything you fought so hard to forget now lay on the floor bare for everyone to see. His eyes burned into yours like he’s memorising every small spec of colour in them. Out the corner of your eye you saw a couple of people staring, you didn’t want to cause a scene so you reach up and wrap your arms around his neck, he instinctively pulls you close and his scent hits you. You sway slowly to the music as he holds your hand on his chest and it’s as if nothing bad ever happened. You feel him lean down to whisper in your ear.
“It’s always been you, it will always be you, only you” he presses a light kiss in your cheek and turns, walking out the door. Your hand reaches up to touch where he kissed you, watching him walk out the door feeling your heart shatter more than it did before. Without thinking you begin to run after him.
“In-Ho” He doesn’t hear you so you shout louder “In-Ho!” he still doesn’t hear you. As you reach the top of the steps he opens the door to his car ready to get in an drive away. “In-Ho” He stops and turns to look at you. You begin to walk down the steps slowly.
“You once told me that even in the darkest of moments love will always prevail, because love is the most powerful drug anyone could hope to have…it will heal you, break you, make you feel whole and make you feel empty at the same time…it will completely crush you and expect you to still love with all your heart. You taught me that love isn’t just about good morning kisses and roses at your door every Friday, it’s knowing you will always have someone in your corner, someone who will support you, take care of you when needed…” You reach the bottom step “You taught me that love isn’t easy by a long shot…but you also told me to fight for what I want and fight to make my dreams come true and right now….” You take a deep breath “ All I want is you” Tears slowly fall down your face as you look up at In-Ho, tears also falling down his face.
“But what I did to you i-“
“I forgive you” he lets out a small gasp
“what?”
“I won’t be able to forget, not for a long time but…I forgive you In-Ho” He leaps forward, taking you in his arms and holding you as if it were the last time. You wrap your arms around him and the feeling of home runs through your veins as his scent engulfs you. He pulls back and lifts your chin up to look at him. “Promise me one thing?” He nods gently “Don’t make me fall again if you won’t be there to catch me”
“I’ll always be there to catch you” He leans down and finally connects your lips and butterflies erupt in your stomach; you’ve never longed for something so much.

Be brave - Salesman x fem! reader(Squid games)
Hey! sorry this has taken so long life has been very hectic lately, but nonetheless i hope you enjoy!
WARNINGS: Guns, shooting, killing, kidnapping, heartbreak
Wordcount: 2.4k
Notes: Let me know what you think!
Working with Gi-hun filled spaces in your life left by your husband who worked endlessly day and night, if you were telling the truth, you hated returning afterwards to a cold and empty apartment. Of course, you felt when he shuffles into bed at 2o’clock in the morning and wraps his arms around you, but he was gone just as quick by 7am. Waking up today was no different, you feel around his side of the bed and feel nothing but his ruffled sheets, let out a small sigh of disappointment and get up ready for the day. You know the route to the office like the back of your hand, and you know the way Gi-Hun works is strict, be there early or don’t be there at all, all for a man, and although you have been doing this for a year you were still no closer to finding him. Walking through the corridor you find your way to the office where groups of men already filled the room. You felt their eyes as they ran over you like they did every morning, taking in your high-top ponytail and your tight-fitting cargo pants and breathing in your scent as you walk past them. You are the only woman on the team so for them you’re like a forbidden fruit. Soon enough Mr Kim walks through the door gaining their attention. After the briefing you are assigned your teams and off you go, and although determination struck the hearts of you all you don’t really know who you were looking for. Sure, he carries a briefcase with money and Ddjaki inside but what can you really get from that? It’s not as if you weren’t experienced, when you weren’t helping Gi-Hun you were helping Jun-Ho try and find his brother, a search that has been going on for years to no avail…not even a trail.
“Hey Y/n” you hear your name and look up meeting Mr Kim’s eyes. “you want a sandwich?” you laugh as he pushes some food towards you. You gently take it and sit beside him.
“Thank you sir”
The two men you are teamed up with continue to talk amongst themselves about how this whole mission is a waste of time and if the man even exists.
“Mr Seong wouldn’t put 1 billion won on the line for just anybody though. – there must be a rea-“
You words are interrupted by a loud slap echoing through the station. Slowly you all turn your head to the other side of the station to see two men. A young man and a man In a suit, with a briefcase…playing Ddjaki. Fuck this is it…this is him.
“You two get hold of Gi-Hun tell him we’ve found him!” You both pull out your phones to call Gi-Hun but before you could dial Mr Kim ran past you.
“QUICK! He’s leaving c’mon”! You lock your phone and run after him, adrenaline courses through you. Somehow you found yourself separated from Mr Kim and he wasn’t answering his phone, you had lost the trace on the Ddjaki man and now stood alone in the centre of seoul not knowing what to do. Do you call Gi-Hun and tell him you lost both Mr Kim and the Ddjaki man? Do you give up and go home? Do you – Your thoughts are interrupted as you hone began to buzz in your pocket. You pull out your phone and see Jun-Ho’s name on the screen.
“Hello? y/n?”
“Jun-Ho?”
“You need to meet me, now”
“What? I can’t just -“
“Y/N NOW!”
“Okay okay jeez, send me the address” Jun-Ho abruptly hangs up the phone and you stare at it in confusion. What could possibly be so important. He sends the address through, and you hail a taxi. You soon find yourself standing outside The Pink Motel in the pouring rain with Jun-Ho nowhere in sight. Frustrated, you dial Jun-Ho’s number.
“Y/N?”
“Where the hell are you Jun-ho? You made me rush over here and you’re not even here yet!?”
“I got held up but you can start without me”
“What!? start without you what do you mean?”
“I have a lead on In-Ho, Gi-Hun, he is residing at the location I sent you. I need you to go in and find him”
“WHAT!?You couldn’t have done this yourself!?”
“Y/n please, you know how important this is for me”
“Fine, but I’m gonna kick your ass when you’re here”
Jun-ho lets out a small laugh and hangs up the phone, you place it back in your pocket and take your gun out from your other pocket. Taking a deep breath, you walk around the premises to find the front door bolted shut. Surely Gi-Hun couldn’t be here, maybe Jun-Ho got it wrong? nonetheless you walk around back to see if you could get in that way, to your surprise you find a window slightly open. You jump up and grab the window ledge, pulling yourself up and manage to pull the window open further, allowing you to climb in. You are met with a dark room, lit only by the light flowing in beneath the door. Once more you take a deep breath and make your way out of the room, being careful with your every step. Not surprisingly you are comforted by the silence, although you do wish Jun-Ho were here to help. Each corner you turn you lose more and more faith that you would find Gi-Hun in this run-down hole, until you hear a slight scuffle behind you. You pause in your tracks, you are almost certain you checked every room and found them all empty, had someone followed you in. You shake your head and continue walking, your senses heightened, and gun gripped tight in your hands, every few seconds you hear feet scuffle behind you, and you try with every fibre of your being to convince yourself you’re just hearing things. You soon came to the end of the hallway, fae to face with an elevator you weren’t sure if you should trust. You decide against it and try to find some stairs, yet as you turn to walk back down the hallway you feel someone grab you and place their hand over your mouth. You struggle against their hold, but this only encouraged them to tighten their grip. You finally look up into the eyes of your capturer only to be met with a pair you deeply recognized. Confusion runs through your veins as you search his eyes for some kind of answer, why was he here? Does he know Jun-Ho? Did he follow you here? You look into his eyes silently begging for an answer, yet he only met your eyes with a harsh, stone-cold stare that made your blood run cold. The eyes you once found comfort it now only made you afraid. He steps closer to you, your bodies now touching and you could feel his warmth radiating off of him, it’s the same warmth that joins you in bed every morning.
“You shouldn’t be here” he whispers, sending shivers down your spine. Suddenly you feel your head start to spin and the man in front of you becomes blurry. Your body was quickly overtaken by unconsciousness, and you fell into his arms.
2 hours later
As you start to regain consciousness, you take note of your surroundings. The same musky smell of the motel filled the air, yet you knew you weren’t in the hallway anymore. Your hands are tied behind your back and your ankles tied together, sat on what you can only assume is the worlds most uncomfortable chair. You open your eyes, letting them adjust to the lighting before scanning the room. Everything seemed normal, apart from the fact that you are tied to the chair, nothing seemed wrong or out of the ordinary, until you hear movement behind you and a hand roughly grabs your chin forcing you to look up. Gi-Hun. His eyes wash over your face with nothing but hatred spewing from them, he forces your head to the side assessing a cut which had recently been made.
“Did you think I wouldn’t find out?” You look at him confused. “I have eyes everywhere y/n, I expect to be betrayed…but never by you”
“What? Betrayed?” you whisper
“Don’t act like you don’t know, don’t act like you didn’t know it was him” Your eyes flick between Gi-Huns trying to decipher what he meant until the realisation dawned on you. Why else would he be here? Why else would your dear husband be sneaking around these halls…of course why didn’t you see it before.
“Gi-Hun I – “
“Save it”
“Your anger is with me, not her” Gi-Huns eyes flick up and your heart stops. His voice sends shivers through your body... you didn’t want it to be true. Gi-Hun releases your chin and stands, you feel your husband’s presence behind you, it was oddly comforting giving the circumstances. Gi-Huns eyes never left him as he walked past you and sat at the table, gesturing for Gi-Hun to join him. You watch them intently, an unsettling feeling in your stomach.
“you should’ve gotten on the plane”
“I changed my mind the moment I saw you”
“you’ve been trying so hard to find me but…all i along I was right under your very nose” Gi-Huns jaw tightens.
“all I wanted to do was thank you, I won…you made me rich”
“I’m just the delivery man, I’m not the one who made you rich”
“And who hired you…there’s a message I want to give them?” Gong-Yoo smiles
“If you tell me I’ll gladly pass it along”
“It’s not something I can tell a worthless little underling” You clench your jaw and fiddle with the handcuffs trying to get out of them, your husband maybe a bad person but he was your person…no one messes with your person.
“You can’t get out of them, you can try all you like they wont budge” You look up to see Gi-Hun glaring at you as he spits his words out.
“One final game?” Gi-Hun turns back around confused
“What?” Gong-Yoo leans forward
“One final game…if you win I’ll tell you where to find the people in charge and if you lose…well…” he pulls a gun from his pocket and your breath hitches. “1 bullet, 5 chances of survival…will you play the game Gi-Hun?”
“This is crazy! You can’t do this”
“Quiet my darling, all will be well” Gi-Hun scoffs and takes the gun, pointing it at his head and staring Gong-Yoo in the eyes intently. Your husband laughs lightly and leans back in his chair. You see Gi-Huns hand shake slightly before pulling the trigger. Your small gasp could be heard through the room, surprised he actually did it. Gong-yoo leans forward and grabs the gun, pointing it at his head.
“Please don’t” you whisper, tears welling up in your eyes. He looks over at you with sympathy before turning his gaze hard again at facing Gi-Hun, he pulls the trigger. You watch as the next round also ended successfully meaning only two bullets remain. Gi-Hun steadily picks the gun up and points it at his head.
“You must really want to meet them Gi-Hun…so much so that you’re willing to give your life”
“I would gladly give my life than live with the guilt that consumes me everyday” He pulls the trigger. Your heart sinks when no bullet left the barrel. One turn left, one shot left. Gi-Hun places the gun in the centre of the table and looks up at your husband laughing. Slowly he gets up and walks over to you, releasing your hands. He drags you up roughly by your shoulder and pushes you in the direction of your husband. To you surprise Gi-Hun pulled out another gun and presses it against the back of your head.
“What are you doing Seong Gi-Hun?” Gong-yoo asks as if he didn’t care
“Giving your wife a front row seat” He grabs the gun off the table and pushes it into your hand forcing you to take it. You look up at him in shock, shaking your head.
“Shoot him”
“no” you whisper
“Shoot.Him” He pushes the barrel of his gun deeper into your head making you wince in pain.
“She was never part of this Gi-Hun”
“She has always been apart of this, she loves you, she would’ve done anything to protect you…and she did…even lying to me about not knowing who or where you were”
“Gi-Hun I really didn’t know…please”
“And still you continue to lie, shoot him”
“Darling look at me” you look down at Gong-Yoo through tear filled eyes, letting them fall as he spoke “marrying you was the easiest, single best decision I’ve made in my entire life, you are the strongest, bravest woman I know and if anybody had to end my life I sure as hell wouldn’t want it to be anyone else” You watch as a single tear falls down his own cheek. “I promised you till death do us part but darling I know I’ll find you again, I’ll search the universe if I must but I will find you again” he grabs your hand and wraps it tighter around the gun
“No please…you can’t make me do this” he stands up and takes a step towards you, you hear Gi-Hun take the safety off his gun and your eyes shoot to Gong-Yoo’s in fear. His hand comes up and rests on your cheek, gently wiping away your tears.
“let me sacrifice my life for yours, let me die so you can live…let me love you in this life and the next…please?” he brings your hand up with the gun still grasped tightly in your hand and presses it beneath his chin. Gently he smiles at you.
“You know I’ll always be with you…in here” he presses his hand to your chest, and you smile at him.
“I can’t do this; I can’t lose you”
“Darling…be brave” he leans down and presses a kiss on your lips and without knowing he wraps his finger around yours that rested on the trigger and pulled. In a second his lips left yours and his body fell limply on the floor behind him.
“NO!” you rush over to him and fall to your knees. Gently you pick his head up and cradle him in your arms screaming and crying, blood covered. Gi-Hun watches, a slight pang of guilt shoots through him as he watches you. He knew no matter how much love endured between you, Gong-yoo will always be dangerous.

Only you - In-ho x reader
WARNINGS: None just heartbreak :)
NOTES: I know the gif isn't In-ho but i thought it matched pretty well! Also not based in the games. I hope you enjoy!
“Loving you in every lifetime is a treasure I will seek to behold until my very last breath…until I can swim in the deep ocean of your eyes or find myself longing no more for the sweetness of your touch or the painless release of your lips on mine”
A promise swept away by the wind, vows taken and never kept. A love lost and hearts shattered. He couldn’t keep you in this lifetime so why would he search for you in the rest? You knew he was never capable of love but of course you followed your heart instead of your stomach. Being with him was a dream, in all those moments you had never felt so at home. The feeling of his arms wrapped around you, or how his hands rested on your waist as you slow danced in the kitchen. The way he’d kiss you, so soft and tender yet powerful and the flowers that arrived at your door every Friday when he knew he wouldn’t be home for the weekend.
Now you sit on your bedroom floor, surrounded by ripped up photographs and hoodies that smell like him, with tears streaming down your face wondering where you went wrong. Wondering what you did to deserve such a deep betrayal. Beside you your phone begins to buzz, you look down the see his name flash up on the screen just as it had done the last 7 times and like the last 7 times you ignored him and closed your eyes breathing softly.
It had been a long week without In-ho by your side, you knew he was away, but you never knew what he did during his weeks away. Rather than dwell on it you buried yourself on your university coursework and prepared for your upcoming exams. The week flew by fairly quickly and before you knew it you were both lying on the couch both with a glass of wine in your hands, your back against his chest and your hands slowly playing with each other in the air. It was a comfortable silence; a silence you longed for until your quiet voice filled the air.
“Do you believe in fairytales?” you tilt your head up slightly and watch as he looks down at you confused his eyebrows furrowing.
“Hmm? Why fairytales?” he answers softly, encasing your fingers with his
“Well. Ever since I met you it seems as though everything has fallen into place; everything seems to be perfect…things that only happen in fairytales” In-ho smiles softly at you and lets out a small laugh.
“Oh baby, I don’t think I believe in fairytales” he speaks lovingly. Your heart drops and a small frown makes its way onto your face as you drop your head to look down at your lap. “I believe in us” he whispers in your ear and tilt your head up to look at him. You smile lovingly at him, your heart bursting as he gently leans down and presses his lips to yours.
Present day
Your heart shatters the more you remember, you remember everything. The long nights waiting for him to come home, the late-night talks when he did. The way his aftershave left its mark everywhere in your shared apartment ensuring you were never really alone. The music you’d dance to in the low glow of the kitchen and the pillow forts you’d build in the living room for movie nights. He always made you chocolate covered strawberries and dropped by the store on the way home to pick up your favourite bottle of wine, he always made you feel so loved…so wanted. As you look around the room your eyes land on the Shattered glass on the floor, a small chuckle escapes your lips as you recall throwing the vase he got you on your 2nd date towards him, missing his head by inches and smashing against the wall. Slowly you rise to your feet and shake the pins and needles in your feet away, before stepping carefully over the glass and heading to the kitchen to get a brush to clean it up. Walking down the stairs seemed torturous, he’d always be waiting for you at the bottom, always complimenting you as he laid his eyes on you. Now it’s just an empty hallway haunted by the echoes of his laugh. As you take the last step your eyes flicker to something laying on the ground beside the couch. You walk over and lean down to pick it up, your heart clenching when your eyes land on the photo your mother took of you both as you decorated your Christmas tree.
The smell of freshly baked cookies filled the air as Christmas music softly played in the background. You and In-ho had invited your mother round to decorate the apartment, Christmas was a lonely time for her as you had lost your father 2 years ago. You watch as In-Ho wrapped the red tinsel around the top of the tree, the bottom of his jumper riding up slightly. He truly was a work of art. You are brought out of your trance by his voice filling the air,
“Are you going to help or just stand there?” He laughs as your cheeks flush red
“Yeah yeah I’m coming” you laugh gently. You walk over to the box of decorations and take out a few baubles before walking over to the tree and delicately placing them on a few branches. Behing you In-Ho grabs some more tinsel, but instead of placing it on the tree he rushes up behind you and wraps you up in it. You squeal in shock as his arms and tinsel wrap around you and lift you into the air.
“In-Ho! Let me go” you laugh as he places you down not loosening his arms and places his head on your shoulder.
“Never” He whispers playfully.
“Look at you two!” you hear your mothers voice fill the air as she enters carrying a plate of warm cookies. She places them down and quickly takes her phone out of her pocket, snapping a photo of you both as your turn your head and press a kiss against In-ho’s cheek.
Present day
You watch as a tear falls from your cheek onto the photo and scoff lightly. Why were you crying? For him? For the love you’ve lost? Or simply because you didn’t know what else to do. Gently you place the photo back onto the side table and turn towards the kitchen. Once you had cleared up the glass you head to the bathroom to freshen yourself up. As you walk in you see a glimmer on the sink, your engagement ring.
Exams were over, In-ho was coming home for a few months and your dream vacation had been booked, you couldn’t wish for anything better, or so you thought. In-Ho insisted you rest on the flight and of course you obliged, your exams had taken a toll and quite frankly you were exhausted. You barely felt hi shake you awake when you landed. Stepping off the plane you were met with blinding sun, exhuming heat and a limousine waiting at the bottom of the steps. You gasp in shock.
“In-ho what-“He turns to face you and interrupts you by placing a finger on your lips.
“Only the best for my world” You roll your eyes at him and shake your head as he opens the car door and ushers you inside. He offers you a glass of champagne and you gladly take it feeling everything melt away as you take the first sip.
“Relax my love, we have two weeks of peace in the beautiful Caribbean” he speaks softly as he takes his seat next to you. Gently he places his hand on your thigh and looks at you, smiling when you meet his gaze. “Nothing in this world would be worth it without you by my side…you know that right?” he grabs your hand and brings it to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to it.
“I do believe you’re exaggerating In-Ho” you laugh lightly and look away turning back only when you hear him whisper
“Marry me”
“What?”
“Marry me”
“In-Ho i-“
“Everything I have done in this life has led me to you, every choice, every path everything, It led me to you and now I wake everyday longing for your smile, your touch, your voice” He turns his body towards you and places a hand on your cheek. “Being with you is the greatest adventure I will ever experience, watching you grow and getting to fall more and more in love with you is an honour I still don’t feel as though I deserve, every time I look into your eyes, I see our future and I can’t wait to experience everything with you… I love you; I feel as though I’ve loved you before and I know I’ll love you in the next life too” Tears fall freely from your eyes as his words penetrate your heart.
“In-Ho” you whisper
“Marry me” He leans forwards and presses his forehead to yours kissing away your tears. Without thinking you nod your head and his lips are on yours in an instant. You feel him take your hand and smoothly slide on the ring without parting your lips and smile into him.
Present day
As you hold the ring in your hands you feel a sense of anger wash over you. You hear your phone begin to buzz again and without thinking you storm over and answer.
“What In-Ho? What more could you possibly want?”
“Y/N please just listen to me, let me explain I can – “
“Explain what!? Explain why you were there instead of here? Explain why you were comforting her over me!? Explain why your lips were on hers instead of mine…?” you are met with silence “Yeah I didn’t think so” You hang up the phone and throw it onto the bed before heading into the bathroom to take a shower. Hours passed and still you found no solace in the things you once did, no motivation to do anything but stare blankly at the wall letting your mind run wild. Your phone rang a couple more times, but you ignored it, you knew It was In-Ho. Suddenly you hear a knock at the door. You reluctantly get up and open the door only to be met with a bouquet of Peonies and roses, your favourite flowers. The one that In-Ho had delivered to your door every Friday. Your eyes fill with tears as you bend down to pick them up and bring them inside. Carefully you place them on the kitchen side and a note falls out. You pick it up and read it.
My angel, my love, my world. I know you can’t forgive me, and I know things will never be the same again. I took your heart and crushed it, and I will never be able to gather the right words to apologise to you enough. What I would give to feel your arms around me again, or to listen to you as you sleep or to feel the softest touch of your lips on mine once again…but I know I can’t have that. I destroyed you and I’m sorry. My heart will always yearn for you, long for you…belong to you. I love you…only you.
“Oh In-Ho” you whisper as you hold the note close to your chest and collapse onto the floor in a flood of tears. He truly was your person

“Y/N No!” In-ho’s voice is silenced by the ringing of a gun shot as you pull the trigger. He felt all of it, every bit of your pain as if he himself had taken the shot to his head. Time stands still as he watches your body fall to the floor and every cell in his body is telling him to move, to run to you…to save you but his legs wouldn’t carry him. All he could do was watch as you bled onto the floor creating the most perfect mosaic even in death, and the more you bled the more he realised what had happened. Slowly he began to walk over to you, taking caution with each step until his eyes land on your face. A small gasp escapes his lips as he falls to his knees beside you. Gently he lifts your head onto his lap, letting his back rest against the wall as he holds you. Leaning down he presses his forehead to yours and begins rocking you as tears start to fall from his eyes.
“Please come back…please come back to me…. Please…. please” he whispers as his tears fall onto your cheeks. The sound of heavy footsteps fill the air as guards begin to make their way back to headquarters, In-Ho quickly lifts his head wiping away his tears and lovingly presses a kiss to your forehead before placing you gently on the ground and getting to his feet. As he stands the guards turn the corner and freeze in their steps as they watch In-ho look down over your body.
“Do not burn her body, put her in a coffin and send her back to the mainland” The guards nod their head in understanding and walk towards your body, before ether of them could touch you In-Ho roughly grabbed them by their arms.
“If anything happens to her, I promise you will wish to be in her place” he speaks sternly, venom running through his words. They gulp and nod their heads before In-ho let them go. He watches as they take your arms and legs and places you gently into the coffin that had been brought up by the circle guards.
“Wait” In-Ho whispers as they begin to close your coffin. He walks over to you and takes your hand in his, not caring that all the guards could see and brings it to his lips.
“I promise to find you in the next lifetime sweetheart” he presses a final kiss to your cold hand and places it across your stomach before walking away, tears threatening to spill once more.
2 years later
Winter was always your favourite time of the year, you loved being able to wrap up warm in a blanket with a hot chocolate in your hands, a book on your lap and your music playing softly as the snow fell delicately outside your window. Each year your grandfather would take you to the Christmas market, until he fell ill of course. Since you passed In-Ho became close with your grandfather, taking care of him now that you couldn’t and through him, he learnt so much about you. He only found himself falling deeper and that was the thing that kept destroying him and hardening his heart. All he wanted was to have you in his arms, to kiss you again…but he couldn’t, and it was his fault. A year after you died your grandfather also lost his life. In-Ho tried with all he had to save him, paid his medical bills, ensured he was comfortable and stayed with him until the very end. He buried him next to you.
In-Ho pulled on his coat and headed out into the cold, you would’ve loved today. The snow fell so delicately it blanketed everything like a work of art, he could only imagine how you’d look with snowflakes in your hair and the tip of your nose red from the cold. His heart lurched at the thought, and he started to head down the road towards the cemetery. As he walked through the gates, he saw your gravestone in the distance beautifully decorated and resting peacefully under the willow tree and smiled to himself. Soon enough he stopped in front of your stone.
“Hi sweetheart” he whispers and gently wipes the snow away as he once did with the tears on your cheeks. “I’ve missed you…. it’s been 2 years without you…today in fact” he smiled sadly at the thought “The days just seem to be getting harder; I find myself craving your smile, your touch…your kindness and warmth” he slowly knelt in front of you “It was never supposed to be this hard” he confessed. “I’m sorry I haven’t been around much; I had business to deal with…on the island” He takes a deep breath “I ended them…the games…losing you made me realise just how much I put on the line…just how much I hurt you and betrayed you…and I’m sorry” Tears begin to fall down his cheeks. “I’m so sorry sweetheart…if I could take back everything to have you back in my arms even for just a second, I wouldn’t even think twice” He looks around watching the snow fall faster now quickly covering everything on the ground, including In-ho.
“You made me feel again…feel things I never thought I could and without you I feel so empty…as if the other half of me is missing and the longer I stay here the more this feeling eats away at me…so” He takes a deep breath “I’m here to say goodbye Y/n…, if I stay I’m just waiting for the impossible…I’m waiting day and night for you to run into my arms and I know that will never happen…I have to let you go” he wipes his tears yet more quickly fill their places. ” Thank you…for everything, thank you for showing me that I can love again, thank you for loving me even when you knew you shouldn’t…thank you for letting me catch you” He whispers as he stands. He lovingly places his hand on your stone. “I love you y/n… I will always love you…I promise I will find you in every lifetime” In-Ho brings his fingers to his lips and kisses them before pressing them onto your headstone and walking away finally…letting you go.

Helloooo !
if it’s not too much but can you do a Legolas x reader where it’s just natural for reader to tease a lot but is completely oblivious of the outcome of it? I’m a sucker for fluff 😞
Hi! I'm so so sorry this has taken so long to get to you, i hope you like it!
NOTES: I am happy to take any other requests, i can write for any LOTR, ROP or squid games characters!
“You’re not supposed to be out here alone…your father will have a fit you know this” you roll your eyes and tilt your head back facing the elf who had come up behind you.
“And he sent you as his messenger, yes?” you reply back, a small smirk tugging at the corner of your lips. He shakes his head at you and smiles, walking over to sit beside you overlooking the valley.
“You know I cannot reject the requests of Lord Elrond, especially whilst I am residing here on such business” He turns his head to look at you, watching as the sunlight reflects in your eyes.
“Oh come oooon Legolas, I have known you long enough to know that you do not oblige by the rules, you may seem like the perfect prince that everyone sees you as but I know you” You look at him to see he is already looking your way, your lips turn into a smirk as he cocks up an eyebrow.
“And do you have proof of such things my lady?” he challenges. Without saying a word you stand and begin to walk away, watching back over your shoulder as Legolas follows. His eyes trail to your hips, watching as they sway gently, your dress making them look so elegant.
“My eyes are up here my Lord” he is snapped out of his trance as you speak to him. “I’m sure your father wouldn’t approve of the way your eyes wander…do you not agree?” He tilts his head and watches as you innocently bite your lip to stop yourself from laughing.
“Perhaps…but they need not wander once they have set themselves upon something so beautiful” You blush at his words and roll your eyes.
“You have a way with words Hir nin (My lord)” You turn your back on him and resume your walk back towards your father’s feast. All night Legolas watches as you dance with the many, many lords of the realm, he watches as your smile lightens up the room and how elegantly your feet move carrying you across the dancefloor.
“In all of the centuries I have known you Legolas, I haven’t seen you this focused on anything, if you are trying to be subtle then I am afraid you are not doing a very good job” Legolas looks up in surprise to see Lord Elrond smiling down at him. He can feel his cheeks heat up and Lord Elrond lets out a laugh, wrapping an arm around his shoulder as they both watch an elder Lord drag you across the floor in a dance, he was clearly not so good at.
“I know you will take good care of her” Legolas looks up once again “I do not want to see her end up in the arms of someone so…” he drags out the end of his sentence and looks once more towards the Lord now leaning down to press a sloppy kiss on your hand. They notice as you smile politely and excuse yourself walking over to them.
“I do believe that was the worst dance to ever grace the halls of Rivendell” you speak as you face the two men.
“I for one found it quite hilarious to watch” Legolas laughs. You raised your hand to punch him in the arm earning a disapproving glance from your father. Nonetheless you landed a blow on his arm causing him to wince and grab his arm in pain.
“That was not so courteous Y/n” Your father speaks.
“But Ada! (father)” He shakes his head and walks away leaving you and Legolas alone.
“Sorry” you say and roll your eyes looking to the side
“No you’re not” he laughs
“No I’m really not you 100% deserved it” He brought his hand up to his heart as if he was hurt and tilted his lips into a frown. “Yeah yeah whatever” You roll your eyes and look up at him “I need some air” you speak and head towards the balcony. Weaving your way through the people you don’t notice Legolas hot on your train until he stands beside you overlooking he elegance of Rivendell.
“It’s beautiful isn’t it?” you whisper. He looks across at you admiring the way the moonlight reflected on your skin.
“It really is” You feel his eyes on you and turn to look at him.
“What’re you looking at me for you weirdo?” You question, only he doesn’t answer. Slowly he turns his body towards yours and takes a small step towards you. He reaches his hand up to caress your cheek gently, causing a red hue to decorate them.
“What are you doing?” you whisper, too shy to look at him now. You feel his hand beneath your chin forcing you to look at him and his breath hitches in his throat as he notices how beautiful the moon reflecting in your eyes is. Without thinking he leans down and connects your lips in a kiss so gentle yet so desperate. After a few seconds he pulls away.
“I do believe that was long overdue” he whispers, his hand on your cheek and forehead against yours.
“Then you better take some time management lessons Hir Nin, don’t want to be late again now do we?” You giggle as he leans down once more pressing a small peck on your lips.

Love never really was a constant in In-ho’s life, everyone he loved disappeared and with them they took his heart. Starting the games seemed to be the only stability in his life, the only thing that gave him the slightest sliver of joy, and now it had been jeopardized. Player 456 was never meant to return, he should’ve gotten on the plane like In-Ho ordered. Instead, he sits beside him completely unaware that the man he is after helps calculate his every move. At first his only thought and intention was to eliminate player 456, to decipher his plans and put an end to them…that was until he saw you. You with the perfect hair, perfect hips and eyes that shone brighter than the sun. Then he knew, he had a new purpose. Protect you. At first he refused to believe how easily you had wormed your way in, how easily you had captured his heart and melted the ice. Yet day by day he found his resolve break and he found himself falling so far and so hard he couldn’t prepare for it. You allowed him to feel things he hadn’t felt in so long and deep down he thanked you for that, but he knew…he knew that you would leave as well, one way or another you would be gone and it hurt his heart every time he thought about it.
Behind him In-ho heard the scuffle of feet, and beside him a pink guard stood.
“What do we do with player 456 sir?”
“Take him back to the dormitory” The guard nods and walks past you.
In-ho never broke eye contact with you, watching the tears fall, the tears that he had caused…the tears that he couldn’t stop.
“He’s alive…?” you whisper, jolting something in In-Ho. Jealously? He said nothing and pressed his gun deeper into your forehead causing you to wince at the pain.
“Just do it In-ho…” the way you whisper his name erupts butterflies in his stomach “please” hearing you beg was something he had only dreamed of, something he had only seen in his dreams when you’re squirming beneath him in desperation, or on your knees in front of him watching you struggle for breath as he chases his release.
“No…” he whispers in return. He lowers his gun and lifts you up roughly by your arm. As you are dragged to your feet you look at him in confusion, he could see the question in your eyes. Why? Why wasn’t he going to kill you? Looking around you see that the mass of pink guards no longer lines the hallway leaving just you and In-Ho alone. Your heart begins to race as you quickly assess your surroundings for an escape route. Unbeknownst to you In-Ho watches your every move. He notices which directions your eyes shoot to calculating your every move, just admiring you. Suddenly your eyes flick over to his and he regains his composure in just enough time to see you lift your other arm in an attempt to grab his gun from his hands. You manage to nudge the handle knocking it onto the floor but before you could reach down to grab it In-Ho grabs your arm twisting it behind your back and pushes you forcefully onto the wall, your face now pressed against it. You let out a yell of frustration causing a deep chuckle to erupt from In-Ho. You feel his breath on your ear as he reaches down to you.
“Are you done with your tantrum now Babygirl?” he whispers. You struggle against his grip wanting nothing more than to knock him out, but the other part of you wanted to run your hands through his hair, to bite his lip and to scream his name so the entire place knew who you belong to.
“Stop. Struggling” the strictness in his tone makes you freeze as a shiver runs own your spine. “Good…now I will let your arm go but you have to promise you won’t run and you won’t try to shoot me” you nod slowly, and he release your arm. You slowly turn to look at him and you suddenly realise how close he is. It takes all of your willpower to not wrap your hands around his neck and hug him, all you do is look up at him with the same betrayal in your eyes still lingering for him to see.
“did you enjoy seeing me break in-ho…did you enjoy tearing down my walls just to destroy me where it matters most….?” You question through teary eyes. He sighs
“I never wanted you to find out this way”
“So what? You were just going to keep it hidden? Keep me in the dark? You were going to let me stay behind knowing you were going to kill all of my friends…you were going to make me think I lost you?” you spit out in anger harshly pushing on his chest to create distance between you. In-Ho looks up at you in shock, he can feel his heart slowly crumbling and he now realises that this is all by his own doing.
“I…I” he struggles to answer, you scoff and roll your eyes
“Save it In-ho” He watches with wide eyes as you pick up a stray pistol lying on the floor slightly hidden beneath the arm of a fallen guard. You take off the safety and point the gun at In-Ho.
“Y/n…”
“Don’t! you don’t get to say my name…you were going to kill me In-Ho and for what? So that your precious games didn’t end?” You speak, your words feeling like poison to him, and for the first time you see tears escape his eyes. You lose composure for a second and lower your gun slightly, your heart aching at the sight of In-ho crying but then you remember all the innocent lives that had been taken because of him. Once again you point the gun at him, he lifts his hands up in surrender, but you don’t lower your gun. Moments pass and yet In-Ho still stood still, looking into your eyes silently pleading for you to lower the gun. In your mind and in your heart, you know that you don’t want to kill him, you know your heart couldn’t take losing him, but you want him to feel the pain he has caused so many others. Suddenly an idea comes into your head, and you lower the gun, sending him a small smile through the tears. He sighs in relief and takes a step towards you, freezing when you lift the gun up again, this time place it against your temple. His eyes harden and his breath hitches.
“Y/n No!”

Gunshots filled the air as the guards were taken down one by one, your freedom inching closer by the second. You could see Young-il ahead of you shooting them down with such precision anyone would think this is what he did for a living. More and more guards came flooding in and soon enough Gi-hun, Young -il and the rest of the team were becoming outnumbered. Looking around you spot a gun lying on the ground inches behind Dae-Ho and decide to make a move. Slowly you crawl out from under the bed making sure to keep your head low and make your way over to the gun, gripping it tightly once you could reach. You loaded the gun with ease using the military training your grandfather had taught you and stood up pointing the gun towards the influx of guards running through the doors. One by one they went down as the team turned back to look at you dazed.
“Are you going to shoot or not!?” You shout as you realise you were now the only one shooting at the guards.
“Y/n what are you doing!? Get down!” you hear Young-Il shout. You turn your head towards him and see him looking at you, pleading for you to get to safety. Slowly you shake your head at him and turn your attention back to the door.
“Retreat, retreat, retreat” you hear over the speakers and suddenly the remaining guards run with speed towards the doors as they close. All but one guard made it through the doors leaving him vulnerable to your team. Gi-Hun rushed over to him, ordering him to take of his mask. You watch from a distance as he speaks to the guard, and they come to some kind of agreement. Beside you Young-Il had now walked over to you, he grabs your arm pulling you up to his height.
“What were you thinking? You could’ve been killed!?” he whispers through gritted teeth.
“Saving your asses by the looks of things” You reply smugly snatching your arm out of Young-Ils grasp and walking towards the rest of the group as they watch player 120 explain how to use the guns. Behind you, Young-Il clenches his jaw and shakes his head at you as you walk away. To him you are insufferable…. but he knew he couldn’t keep up the façade for much longer. He takes a deep breath calming himself and follows your footsteps towards the team. Before long you were being led out of the dormitory by the guard, following behind Gi-Hun. You are stopped in your path as you are dragged to the side by Young-Il.
“Stay here” he orders, looking deep into your eyes as his grip on you tightens.
“No, I am going to find whoever is in charge of this murder house and put a bullet through their head” You whisper in anger. You notice his face drop a little but take no notice as the anger continues to run through your body. “You don’t get to order me around Young Il…just because we have something doesn’t mean I’m yours to command” You stand your ground and turn to walk away. He pulls you back to him.
“Y/n please, it is for your own safety” Young Il knew in his heart that if you go with them…you wouldn’t come back. You look into his eyes acknowledging his concern and see nothing but love and worry flood out of them. Your heart aches and you sigh lightly. Leaning forward you press a light kiss on his cheek and step back.
“We’re in this together, right? As long as you’re with me I’m the safest I can be” You give him a half smile and hold your hand out for him to take. He hesitates before sighing and nodding gently, taking your hand and leading you out of the dormitory. Soon enough you were all sat with your backs against the walls in a shooting match with the rest of the guards, bullets flew past your head missing you by centimetres and fellow teammates taken down without mercy. Beside you Dae-Ho is sitting with his head in his hands aiming the gun and shooting recklessly.
“Dae-Ho! You’re wasting bullets that way, just glance over the edge and aim, you’ll have more chance of hitting one that way!” You shout out to him amongst the sound of shots firing. He nods frantically and does as you say. As you ready yourself to get back on your feet you hear Gi-Hun shout up.
“Jung-Bae and I will go and look for the control room, you guys stay here, Young-il you’re in charge from here”
“Do you know the way?” Young Il shouts and Gi-Hun looks towards the guard that got trapped in the dormitory with us, pointing his gun at him.
“He’ll know” you look towards the guard and see him look at Gi-Hun in fear as he walked towards him.
“Where is the control room!” Gi-Hun orders pressing his gun into the guards chest. He holds his hands up in surrender.
“Down the end of the hall and turn right, left and then right again…it’ll lead you to a purple door” he shouts back in fear. Gi-Hun nods towards Jung-Bae to move past them, but the guard begins to move his hand down to his pocket. You and Young Il jump up aiming our guns at him ready to fire if anything goes wrong.
“You will need a mask to get through, it’s an identity sensor” he speaks as he shakily pulls out his mask. As he lifts his head you see him look towards Young Il and his eyes widen momentarily before a bullet pierces through his head. You watch as his body falls limp on the floor and Gi-Hun takes his mask.
“we’ll let you know once we’re there” He speaks, lifting up the radio and running towards the end of hall with Jung- Bae on his tail. You look up at Young Il who is still looking toward the end of the corridor.
“Do you think they’ll be okay?” he turns around to look at you, his face void of any emotion and colder than you’ve ever seen it before.
“Yes” he states and returns to shooting the guards. Confusion runs through your veins, why was he acting so cold? Is he just worried? You watch as he shoots, his face contorting with concentration and you admire how he looks until you are brought out of your trance as a bullet hits the wall right beside your head. Young Il turns back to you
“What the fuck are you doing?! If you’re going to be his fucking useless I should’ve left you behind” he shouts pushing you down to the ground. Tears begin to well up in your eyes as you take in his words, they hurt more than a bullet would. Young Il notices when you don’t get back up once you had regained your composure and looks down at you. He hears you sniff and his heart drops. He crouches down to your level and lifts your chin up.
“I’m sorry okay? Seeing you come so close to death hurt me…I didn’t mean to hurt you Aswell” You look up as he apologises and smile gently as you shake your head.
“You didn’t hurt me I’m fine” you reply sniffling.
“You’re a great liar” he responds tapping your nose lightly.
“I know” you laugh gently before you’re interrupted by Dae-Ho running past you.
“We’re running out of Ammo, Dae-Ho is going back to the dormitory to get some, the guards have spares in their pockets.” You and Young Il nod and lean back against the pillars as more bullets fly towards you.
“Shouldn’t they have found the control room by now!?” you shout up and the rest of the team agrees. Young Il grabs his radio and turns to the correct channel.
“Gi-Hun…Gi-Hun is everything okay?” he speaks into it, keeping eye contact with you the whole time. Your heart drops when you hear no answer. “Gi-Hun…do you read me? over?” he tries again. Suddenly it crackles to life and Gi-Hus voice is heard through it.
“We’re trapped and low on ammo we need back up!” you hear him shout.
“Here, take these!” Player 120 shouts throwing some extra ammo towards Young Il. He nods in acknowledgement and puts them in his pocket.
“I need 2 people to come with me” Before you can say anything his hand is over your mouth muffling your words.
“I’ll come with you!” someone shouts up running to Young Ils side. Before anyone else could volunteer you bite Young Ils hand causing him to hiss and pull his hand back in pain. You stand and look him dead in the eyes.
“I’m coming with you”
“Y/n n-“ “I’m coming.with.you” you state. Young Il knew better than to argue so he sighs in defeat searching your eyes, silently begging you to stay but you were stubborn. He turns and begins to lead the way, you and the other player following in his footsteps.
“Where is Dae-Ho!?” you spin around as you hear 120 shout, also noticing that Dae-ho should’ve been back by now.
“Y/n go and find him” Young Il shouts
“What happened to being the safest when I’m with you?” you ask searching his eyes. He looks down in guilt.
“We need that ammo…without it we’re all dead” he looked up into your eyes and you nod rushing off in the direction of the dormitory. Along the walls you see the path player 120 had made for you shooting out the cameras and follow them all reaching the dormitory in no time.
“Dae-Ho!” you shout as you run in searching the room. “Has anyone seen Dae-Ho!?” you question as you run down the steps You look up to see player 007 pointing towards a set of bunk beds at the back. Rushing over to him you see he has he hands on his ears and fear radiating through his body. Gently you reach out to touch his hand but he sees you and flinches away.
“Where is the ammo Dae-Ho?” you ask calmly
“I-I-I’m sorry” he replies, tears starting to fall.
“Dae-Ho where is the ammo?” you ask now with more command in your tone. He points to a balled-up jacket filled with ammo.
“Thank you, stay here, okay?” you reply calmy before grabbing the jacket and heading out. Before you could leave more guards flood into the room.
“Everyone on the floor now!” they shout, aiming their guns at everyone Fear rises in your chest, and you close your eyes taking a deep breath before standing up to face them. You feel a small hand on your wrist as you begin to stand preventing you from moving, you look down to see player 149.
“This is no way to die sweetheart” you look at her and tears begin to well in your eyes once more. You had to get out of here, you had to make it back to Young Il. You nod gently not wanting to put everyone’s lives at risk and lower yourself onto the floor with everyone else. The coldness of the floor connected with your tear stained cheek as you lay flat awaiting their next instruction. You hear heavy footsteps echo around the room slowly coming closer to you until they came to a stop.
“Player 394” your heart drops “please stand” You slowly put your hands on the cold floor and push yourself up onto your knees and look up at the guard. He steps back allowing you to stand fully. “Please come with us” he instructs. You look back a player 149 and player 007 before you are pushed forward by another guard. You follow them through the long halls, dodging any bullets coming your way until you find yourself opposite your team. Looking over you see that now only players 120 and 246.
“Please follow us” the guard repeats as they push you in the direction of the staircase once more. Suddenly they fall to the floor and you freeze in your steps.
“Y/N Run!” you hear player 120 shout. In your head you thank her and start to run towards the corridor you had seen Young-il go down. As you walk towards the door you notice it is being pried open with a gun, you pick up the gun and check the ammo seeing it was full and silently thank the gods. Moving forward you take every precaution when turning the corners and steadily make your way through the maze. As you turn the next corner you see a body lying on the floor with no one else around. You hold the gun up ready to shoot anyone who came near you, and as you neared the body your blood ran cold.
“no…” Rushing over to the body you drop the gun on the floor and take his head in your hands.
“Jung-Bae…Jung Bae can you hear me?” you shake him in the hopes that there was still some life left in his body but to no avail. You bring his head to your chest and hold him, letting your stray tears fall into his hair.
“It was the consequence of the game” You freeze as you hear a voice sound from behind you. Slowly you place Jung-Bae’s body down and reach for your gun. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you”
“And who are you to stop me” you whisper, anger and sadness coursing through your body. You slowly turn your head; your hand still reaching for the gun and look at who was speaking to you. Quietly you gasp as before you stood a man in black, a black mask and a pistol in his hand looking down upon you, his power radiating from him. “You run these games…don’t you?” you ask in disgust. His silence told you everything you needed to know. As your mind begins to wander you begin to think about Young Il. Your heartbeat quickens at the thought of anything happening to him and with ease you grab the gun and stand to our feet, pointing the gun towards the man in black. “Where are the others” you ask, your voice shaking but standing your ground.
“who? Your little hero player 456?” the mention of Gi-Hun made your eyes water.
“And the others” you demand “Player 015 and…” your voice hitches in your throat “Player 001” you whisper shakily. He tilts his head.
“They played the game and faced the consequences of losing” a sob leaves your lips, your tough demeanour breaking down.
“no….NO!” you go to pull the trigger but it is ripped out of your hands before you could. The pink guard beside you threw the gun to the side and forcefully pushes you down to your knees. His hands leave you and he returns to the masked mans side holding his gun close as you sat on your knees sobbing.
“Do not cry for the dead…you are one step closer to winning” he states stepping towards you.
“you really think that’s what I want?” you scoff, sniffling “after seeing so many die…after losing so many friends” you turn to look at Jung – Baes body. Suddenly his gloved hand reaches for your chin and tilts your head up to look at him. It felt oddly familiar. “You really think I want to win?” you whisper as you look up at him, searching for any emotion in his twisted demeanour. He crouches down to your height.
“I think you want to win more than your heart lets on”
“You don’t know me…you know nothing of what my heart wants” you angrily whisper, turning your head away sharply escaping his grip.
“I know more than you think” he whispers back sending a chill down your spine. You turn your head back towards him as he stands again, motioning towards a guard. They move forward and press their gun to your head as he walks away.
“who are you?” you ask quietly “if you are to kill me in cold blood then at least show me who you are” he stops in his tracks and turns back around slowly as if he was contemplating it. He walks towards you slowly, nudging the guard to the side as he stops in front of you once more, You look up at him, your tear stained cheeks glistening in the light and watch as he reaches up towards his mask. After what felt like an eternity the man slowly takes off his mask, your heart shattering as you look into the all too familiar eyes.
“no…” you whisper. He reaches his hand down to your cheek and brushes away a tear as it fell. He could see the betrayal in your face and it broke his heart more than he could know. You look into his eyes searching for an explanation but finding nothing. As he looks down at you, you can see the love flooding out of him….you can feel the guilt in his touch but you didn’t care.
“hi sweetheart”
“don’t you look at me like that…don’t you stand there and look at me like that after everything you’ve done” you whisper as more tears fell. “Is your name even Young Il?” you question with his betrayal running deep. His face drops a little as his heart breaks but quickly changes back to the hard demeanour he had before.
“No….it’s In-ho” he replies softly tucking a stand of hair behind your ear. He leans forward and connects your lips in a gentle kiss…almost as if he was saying goodbye and you don’t pull away. You allow him to kiss you one more time, you’d be dead soon anyway…right? In-ho stands ready to walk away again, leaving his guards to kill you but something was stopping him.
“I wanted you to get out of here you know…to live your life…to save your grandfather” he grabs your chin gently and runs his thumb across your bottom lip. “he’d be so proud of you” he mutters. He searches your face seeing the torment he was causing you at the mention of your grandfather. He removes his hand and steps back, pointing his own gun at your forehead. Your breath hitches. It felt like an eternity had passed and yet he still hadn’t pulled the trigger, he couldn’t. The more he looked into your eyes the more his heart told him not to.
“Why did you do it?” you whisper, your quiet voice bringing him away from his interna torment. He looks at you with confusion tilting his head. “Why did you let me fall knowing it would end like this?”
“because I thought I could catch you”
