Just got put on to Phony Ppl a R&B/Soul band straight out of Brooklyn. My friend made me listen to "I Wish I Was a Chair" on their Phonyland. album. The song is short but dope. Now I'm jamming to their album and I am a true believer! They have a show today at Brooklyn Bowl and won't be able to check them out (bummer!). I want to tell errr body about them! This year was very eventful for me:
Broke up with long time boyfriend (5 years)
Graduated college (fuck yea)
Started to experience things that I wouldn't do before (boat rides, smoking ganja, and some other shit)
Liked a guy who is in a relationship
Started to live life like I wanted to
Just don't give a fuck
Got a full time job at a poppin ass company
But to all truths though, ain't nothing like breaking up a long-term relationship to really start finding yourself! That's what is happening to me and it feels good, I cannot lie.
