I suffer with Anxiety, Social Anxiety and Depression, which for 12 years plus I have battled with. I battle with myself. There's this pain and hurt that encases me in different ways like a prey stuck in a trap that can't get out! I yearn to get better, but not sure if that's going to happen any time soon! Over the years I have felt ashamed and embarrassed living with my Mental Health, it felt taboo, like a dirty secret but now it is time. A time when I have awakened and now search for that change and new beginning. To go on a journey, It's going to be long and I'm sure it's not going to be easy. I have a passion and love for words. They sooth me, whirl around me; and keep me calm when days are dark and the nights are empty. I don't mind how they come whether through writing, poetry, song/music, in quotes and affirmations or just conversation....words! They are all things I'm trying my hand at. I dissect my life and judge it harshly, I live in hope. I have a yearning to try and not give up; I don't wan to make this world, society or my Mental health beat me.
