i just saw your Pantera post and that you mentioned Ulquiorra with Murci. I mainly write for Grimm and Ulquiorra and have been rolling around their zanpakuto spirits for ages now. So i clicked your name sooo fast. And, dude. You did not disappoint. Love the design! And the modeling him after a fighter pilot? I have an au in my wips of fighter pilot Ulquiorra!

What i want to ask is your idea for Ulquiorra’s inner world? What does it look like, how does he effect it? In an Ulquiorra lives and teams up with ichigo plot, does it change?

Okay, so I basically envision Ulquiorra's inner world as an eternal night sky dotted with cold stars and grey, bluish clouds. There's no moon, however.

Sometimes, if Ulquiorra is disturbed, the nighttime sky will vaguely light up with searchlights, and the clouds will become too transparent to stand on anymore. But that rarely happens. It is extremely annoying for Murcielago when it does, because the lights can and will blind him while he's trying to fly. This mimics Ulquiorra's tendency to try and find an quick answer through his worldview but it blinds his subconscious.

As for a team-up with Ichigo, it depends on what the end goal is? If he's just getting a mission done, the inner world is fine. If it's a variable, shifting situation with the confusing human, Murcielago might bring Ulquiorra into the inner world for a dogfight to straighten out his emotions. Develop a search plan, get back to basics, avoid needless ruminations, etc. etc. This fight is very cut and dry, though, not excessively violent or brutal like a Pantera/Grimmjow "heart-to-heart" would be.

Alright, one Murcielago post for @always-be-a-stranger.

This guy's demeanor and design is very roughly based on vintage fighter pilots. People keep referring to Ulquiorra's lances as missiles or nukes, so I ran with it.

Murcielago is fairly reserved, loyal, and calculating; he focuses on the bigger picture, and regards others as one would pieces on a war map. Usually tells Ulquiorra to read the terrain and to be ready to shift tactics as needed. However, due to this detached, distant view, Murcielago can be caught off guard if his allies or enemies behave in a reckless or abrupt manner (Grimmjow or Ichigo, for example).

The guy is pretty tall since Ulquiorra definitely grows a few feet in his second release state. Unlike him, however, Murcielago doesn't use the tail to fight - it creates too much drag for his liking. The two moon-like appendages at the top of the wings can also grab shit.

Design: Thanks to Grimmjow's many, many, many fights as an Adjuchas Hollow, Pantera has several faded scars. The bandages, pants, and sleeveless top are roughly inspired by MMA fighter gear. Pantera's shoulder and arm jawbone are a direct callback to Grimmjow's bone mask.

Personality: Strict, professional, and brutal. Pantera's job is to make Grimmjow a King, to win every fight, and to survive. She'll remind him to keep a level-head, but can get aggressive herself when a formidable opponent breaches their territory. When Grimmjow enters Resurrecion, his stance and mindset momentarily slip into Pantera's MMA style; it's essentially how they worked together as an Adjuchas.

MMA fighters are extremely competitive, driven, and are creative problem-solvers; they also follow a certain set of ethics when engaging in the ring. Hence Grimmjow's own sense of principals with repaying debts, not attacking defeat opponents, or even reviving enemies for 'another round'.

Inner World:

Grimmjow's mind, the main place he and Pantera talk, is a massive stage made entirely of bone, encircled by rows and rows of giant rib bones. When Grimmjow is depressed, unfocused, or starving, the stage gradually becomes buried in sand. Pantera fucking hates this, and drags Grimmjow into their inner world to spar until he snaps out of it.

Random: Currently, the greatest obstacle to achieving Segunda Etapa for Grimm and 'Tera is their clashing personalities. On the opposite end, Mucielago and Ulquiorra are pretty synchronized in terms of ideology and strategy, but have rigid worldviews as a result.
