We’re looking for a new host in Malmö!

In 2008, Tina Roth Eisenberg, also known as Swissmiss, started CreativeMornings out of a desire for an ongoing, accessible event for New York’s creative community. The concept was simple: breakfast and a short talk one Friday morning a month. Every event would be free of charge and open to anyone.

Today, attendees gather in 224 cities around the world to enjoy fresh coffee, friendly people, and an international array of breakfast foods. Volunteer hosts and their team members organize local chapters that not only celebrate a city’s creative talent, but also promote an open space to connect with like-minded individuals. We call ourselves an engine of generosity and live by our manifesto. 

CreativeMornings Malmö's previous host has since stepped down so we are now looking for a replacement. Could this be you?

CreativeMornings Malmö needs you!

We are a team of volunteers that collectively help make CreativeMornings happen each month, and we’ve been fortunate to have had a lot of support these past 5 years. Every year people move on and we are therefore looking for some fresh faces to bolster our ranks. Involvement can be on different levels but we are looking for individuals to help us in a few key areas. Below is a rundown of the different responsibilities we cover as a team if you are keen to join the team you can click the link at the bottom to register your interest. We look forward to hearing from you.

Volunteer Coordinator - responsible for recruiting and managing our team of volunteers. Venue Coordinator - responsible for finding, booking and liaising with venues Speaker Coordinator - responsible for finding, booking and liaising with speakers Sponsor Coordinator - responsible for finding, booking and liaising with sponsors Event Host - the event presenter Event Coordinator - responsible for managing all the event day logistics Media Coordinator - responsible for managing the photography and video capturing and production Social Media Manager - responsible for managing our social media channels Content Manager - responsible for content marketing Designer - responsible for designing any digital or physical assets Organizer - the leader of the local chapter, overseeing the whole team Photographer - someone who captures photos of the event Videographer - someone who records the event talk and films b-roll for video production

Volunteer hosts and their team members organize local chapters that not only celebrate a city’s creative talent but also promote an open space to connect with like-minded individuals. We call ourselves an engine of generosity and live by our manifesto.

CreativeMornings Malmö was founded in 2014 by friends Justin Style and Cesar Ortiz. Over the best part of 5 years, they built a beautiful community with the help of an amazing team. However, the day has come to pass on the torch to a new host and so we are now looking for a replacement. Could this be you?

The GIFt of Time

CreativeMornings is a global engine of generosity, where everyone is creative and anyone is welcome. But there are other things driving the members of our community. Like working for yourself and collaborating with clients. From big agencies to small shops to freelancers, we all know what it’s like to patiently wait on clients to communicate feedback or process an invoice. Client interactions can be complicated and tough. Or chock-full of excitement and joy. And sometimes, when you’re trying to express yourself, words just don’t cut it. Sometimes all you need is the perfect animated gif. So, this December, FreshBooks is helping us launch a dedicated gif channel — and curating awesome gifs, made by artists in our communities, to celebrate the rewarding and challenging moments of working with clients. Start GIFt-ing!

Want to help fuel the creative community in Malmö? We are looking for two passionate leaders to help us to continue inspiring, connecting and celebrating the amazing creatives of this great city! 

We are currently seeking a communications manager and event coordinator, but if you wish to volunteer in a different capacity we invite you to fill out this form to get involved.

Communications Manager

Your responsibilities will include sharing our creative efforts with the community by:

Updating creativemornings.com/mal with event & chapter details

Sharing opportunities and events on our blog & newsletters

Managing our social media channel output and strategy

Growing our community through opportunities for media outreach

Event Coordinator

Your responsibilities involve being the engine that brings our community together, by:

Coordinating any and all event logistics

Finding photographers and videographers to capture our events

Recruiting and managing an amazing group of volunteers

Assessing event requirements and managing resources

All positions will require about 5-10 hours/month of work, and are expected to be on the organizing team for at least a year.
