Outlining the forms with #carandache pencil is the next step for these new vessel pieces for my upcoming show. Then I "melt" the lines with water and a very thin brush before spraying a matte fixative over each design. Next step? More paint - probably another two coats at least per piece. Getting ready for the 20/20 show at #kennedygallery in #sacramento opening in May. All the canvases have been gessoed with a thick layer of #blickartmaterials #gesso which is my all time favorite for the added texture. Drew some simple vessel shapes with my #carandache black pencil and now filling in the shapes with rich, creamy #acrylics from #goldenpaints - I like working on them all at one time instead of separately because it forces me to be looser plus when they're nearly done my excitement level is through the roof! #limitedpalette #minimalistart #floralart #vases #vessels by #sacramentoartist #judyjacobsart
