i will *never* tire of the “gaang makes bets about when and how zutara will get together” but i also love the idea of everyone being genuinely shocked instead

like it’s post-war and zutara have been quietly seeing each other for a bit but not even intentionally on the DL, they just haven’t formally called it anything because they’re basically how they were as friends but now they kiss

but when they get found out when the gaang is together for some event everyone is pissed like “WHAT?! HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL US?”

and katara is like “HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW?! I THOUGHT IT WAS OBVIOUS”

I love disney films, don’t get me wrong but hate them as a corporation and it’s so fucking funny to me seeing the response to encanto and how disney’s weirdness about luisa has affected them

because isabela is the stereotypical pretty ‘perfect’ character, they expected her to be very popular with little girls. but she wasn’t as popular with them or kids in general even nearly to the extent they thought she would be: the isabela merch isn’t selling much and the demand for luisa merch is extremely high because kids regardless of gender seem to adore her

bc of misogyny and gender stereotypes, they didn’t expect kids to like the strong muscly lady but boy were they wrong. and I’m so glad the kids showed the mouse right up on their bullshit lmfao

So for any of my Idol anime-lovers, if you don’t know the Pretty Rhythm series, I highly reccomend it! (Also AKB0048, but that’s not exactly relevant rn) The first and third of the series (Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream & Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow LIve) are my favs, but anways. This is a fic based off of the Pretty Rhythm series that I’m trying my hand at, considering there isn’t a completed version of the kind of story idea I would love to read. 

Anyways, for those who don’t know the reference of the title and/or why it’s kinda pretty important to the story here’s a basic breakdown/recap to know before going in:

Aira, Mia, and Naru were the MCs during the first three Pretty Rhythm series (PR: Aurora Dream, PR: Dear My Future, and PR: Rainbow Live) and they have been chosen by the Prism Goddess (who looks like a mostly irrelevant character’s mom) to basically spread the Prism’s magic to girls beyond their dimension/worlds (for reference, Aira and MIa are from the same world, but MIa is from 3 years in Aira’s future, and Naru is froma completely different dimension/world). Their mission is to now spread the Prism’s magic to a new universe who, instead of the Prism Shows Aira, Mia, and Naru are used to, have Live Performances, and instead of Prism Jumps (explained as “a jump from the heart”), there are Making Dramas.

Hisordoux at Hogwarts (AU Concept¿?)

“Remember, Hisirdoux, you are Merlin Ambrosius' apprentice. Play your cards right, and you’ll go far,” a young boy told himself. Merlin the great, a Hogwart’s Slytherin Alum, had found him just 2 years ago and adopted him. Though he was not skilled in the basics of language or arithmetic, he had a natural affinity with magic, and that was what Merlin saw; the potential to be a great wizard.

Merlin got tutors who caught him up to speed for reading, writing, and arithmetic, while the great wizard himself taught Hisirdoux science (well, potions), history (of magic), and monsterology. Hisirdoux was now 11 and finally received his long awaited, life-changing letter. His Letter to Hogwarts, which was excitedly tight in his hands as he stood outside the Grand Hall of the castle with the rest of his soon-to-be graduating class.

“Hogwarts, Hisirdoux, is where you’ll thrive. Show me you’ve learned mastery over life, and consequentially magic, and I shall deem you worthy of a staff fit for a Master Wizard.” ______________________________________________________________

This is just kinda a “what if?” after re-watching the show for like the 27th time (Douxie is my favorite) where I remembered that Merlin is a Slytherin alum in Potterverse, so why not combine Potterverse and Tales of Arcadia? 

Additional notes:

This would be a bit different (for obvious reasons), so Merlin finds Douxie when he’s more 8-9ish, so that he can catch him up, in the smarts he didn’t learn on the street, in time for Hogwarts. I don’t know if Merlin would pull strings to have Hisirdoux not need a wand since he has his vambrace, or he’ll go down to Ollivander’s for a proper wand. 

I also feel like there is a difference between a wizard who uses a wand compared to a staff because of how they work. Wands can switch users and be a bit more unreliable at times. I think with staffs, they’re more firm, an added extension of the wizard themself, that’s why Merlin put the seals in the staff, because it was the last part of Merlin. 

The majority of the story would be Hisirdoux being in Hogwarts, and his journey during those seven years, and then maybe a sequel or something of how that pulls into Wizards and Tales of Arcadia. Maybe even, Hisirdoux being a part of the First Wizarding War while Merlin was asleep. Maybe, Hisirdoux would even take a teaching job for a few decades, teaching James, Lily, and Voldemort’s class, to being a teacher of some strange subject in Harry’s class. I feel like Muggle Studies, or a Muggle History class would be a good fit for him?¿

Edit: I’m thinking about it again right now, and while it would be nice to go through all seven years of Hisirdoux being in Hogwarts, there’s also a lot of boredom (not that Douxie is boring, of course) in that idea. This would be a time before Voldemort, or any Potterverse character, was a part of Hogwarts, or even born for that matter. Unless I threw in other Dreamworks characters like Jack or Hiccup, it would be just Hisirdoux and a bunch of OCs going to school. 

During the time of Wizards, Moppet!Douxie is getting settled back into the castle after finishing his seven years at Hogwarts, just in time for the war (ohhhh, yay). When, this just in, a Douxie from the future (Double Douxies, what a disaster) appears, and does a handful of stuff present Moppet!Douxie doesn’t exactly remember (that may or may not be due to several sleep spells casted on him...). But once the war is over, Future Douxie is back in his present and Moppet!Douxie, after completing Merlin’s tomb, is left to survive with just himself and his familiar. 

There, Douxie is left with 900 years until Merlin needs him again, and what he does during that period, who knows? Maybe he’ll be an actor of the Globe Theater, or a pirate of the Caribbean. Maybe he’ll be a part o the Second Wizarding War, or the World Wars. But whatever part he plays, will not be credited to to him, for the lost apprentice hides in the shadows of history. People may not remember his name, but that won’t stop him from doing what is right. 

This really is just a small idea, and I’m probably just gonna leave it at this, but if you like it, run with it.
