Ladies!!! If the cuties had an Olympics AU what would be their sports?
TEARS INTO THIS QUESTION SO FAST OH MY GODAshley: Something Track and field and over quickly, like the 100m
Sam: I can’t think of a single sport Sam would enjoy -- Fencing? Maybe? Table tennis, even, fuck the visual for that is too good
Abe: I was thinking Abe would be a Decathlon, or something equally grueling, but Boxing more his deal
Olivia: Anything Equestrian
Kasey: Soccer would be more in canon but oh my god 110% Gymnastics, too
Jasper: Archery or Diving
Alex: In canon, Alex runs track with Ashley (but sucks), so maybe swimming
Reagan: Rhythmic Gymnastics
Dahlia: Beach Volleyball
Cooper: Men’s Heptathlon
Hazel: Field Hockey or Archery or Table Tennis (Should would be a triple threat tbh AHAHA)

Single Dad AU III
It was a long process to adopt Juniper, especially being single, but Sam couldn’t be any happier. In a month he would welcome home a new family member. His split with Natalie made him realize that he only wanted family, whether that be with or without her. She knew that Sam wasn’t his happiest with her and they needed to see other people. It was hard for him to realize at first, but he knew deep down that she was right. After his acceptance, they still talked as friends and she helped pushed him in the direction of adoption.
It was finally the day to bring Juniper home for good. He was at the adoption agency, signing final papers when one of the ladies at the agency brought out little Juniper for him. She smiled when she saw him, eyes curling. Their other meetings had gone extremely well and Sam learned a lot about her.
The first time Sam met Juniper, she was very shy, just coloring as the other children played loudly with each other. All of the children in this group were about the age range that was ideal for him. Not too young and old enough to understand conversation. He didn’t know why, but he drifted towards her. “Hi,” he smiled softly at her as he knelt down. “What are you coloring there?”
“Peri,” her voice was small, smaller than Sam had anticipated, but he pulled up a chair next to her. He barely could fit in it. His knees almost hit his chest. The little girl looked up at him and giggled. “That chair’s not for you!” Sam couldn’t help but laugh a little too.
“I know, but I can’t sit anywhere else,” he leaned in to see her coloring book. “I’m Sam, by the way. What’s your name?”
“Juniper,” she put down her purple crayon and picked up another. She mumbled something in another language as she continued coloring again.
“Oh, you speak another language?” Sam asked, genuinely interested in the little girl sitting next to him.
She nodded, “Mhm! I moved here from Korea!”
“That’s awesome,” Sam smiled again. He didn’t remember the last time he had smiled this much. “I only know English. Maybe you can teach me how to speak Korean.”  They spoke with each other, comfortably until Sam’s time with the children was up. He learned that she was three and a half, her favorite TV show was Peri and Friends, and her favorite food was french fries.
“I have to go now, Juniper, but,” Sam stood up from the chair, stretching out his back a little. “I’ll be back in a couple days again.”
Juniper said something in Korean, waving. “That’s how you say goodbye. And also hello,” She grinned. Sam repeated it the best he could and Juniper giggled. “You just need practice. I’ll teach you more next time!”
“I look forward to it,” Sam patted her head gently, smoothing out her hair. “Bye, Juniper.”

Single Dad AU II
Ashley stood to the side in Orellana's cafe, waiting for the professor to show up.
He made it a morning ritual. He got up, took a shower, dressed in a new suit, and patted on some burnt wood and ginger smelling cologne. He left his loft, walked down ten blocks, and over seven, all to see the blonde professor and his emotionless face. He didn't care if there was a coffee place next to his building; Sam Lexington was worth the walk. There was something about Sam that Ashley just liked. He was attractive, undoubtedly, but there was something else. Even after learning he was a dad -- a married dad? A widowed dad? A divorced dad? A single dad? -- Ashley's crush had only doubled. Ashley had experimented in college, but nothing really stuck, and neither did any of the people. For most of his life, he had pursued people based on his group of friends. The girls he dated weren't anything special, except for maybe Hazel, who made him keen on blondes. And the guy his cousin had set him up with hadn't been anyone spectacular either. He was clingy and overly affectionate in a way Ashley couldn't stand. After high school and college, his mom had played matchmaker with family friend’s children, and Ashley couldn't stand any of them. After disappointing dinners and boring sex, Ashley decided to focus on just work. That seemed to please his mom more than any date or chance at marriage had. A year spent entirely single and Ashley got stuck behind a handsome professor one morning during a coffee run. He only knew Sam was a professor because of the school ID on his bag, and one day after weeks of staring at the sharp line of his shoulders, his occasional (movie star) profile, Ashley said something to him. Sam's voice was as flat as his expression, but Ashley found it oddly cute. Over weeks, and months, they exchanged small stories in their morning wait. It easily became the best part of Ashley's day. After learning Sam had a daughter, he realized he needed to know more about the professor in order to spare himself the embarrassment of a hopeless crush. Sam stepped inside Orellana's, and Ashley stepped in line behind him after pretending to read an email. “Hey, no daughter today?” Sam looked over his shoulder, spotting Ashley a whole head below him. “No, she's at her grandma's.” Sam's blank expression changed somewhat. “I'm really sorry about yesterday. She's never like that.” “Most kids don't like me.” He shrugged, remembering his little cousin Kimmy always trying to spit on him. “She's really cute, though. You guys must be real happy.” Sam's mouth did the funny thing Ashley grew to like more each day, a small smile that was barely existent but somehow managed to compliment all of Sam's features. It was entirely unfair. “Yeah, pretty happy. Not when she's a brat, though.” “It's fine.” They moved in line and Ashley felt bolder. “Is she a brat like that with Mom too?” Sam made a weird face ahead of him. “Uh, no. Juniper uh, she doesn't have a mom.” Ashley's stomach flipped. “Shit, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to--I'm sorry for your loss.” He was usually more eloquent than this. He blamed it being early. Sam made another weird face. “No, sorry, I didn't say that right. It's uh, just me raising her.” “Oh! Oh, oh,” Ashley didn't have a smooth recovery from that, not while his brain processed that and immediately translated it to single. Single dad.
Sam was a single dad. “That must be stressful.” “Not really.” Sam put in his order and offered to pay for Ashley's. “For yesterday.” “Thanks, because your three year old really tore me apart yesterday when she called me a meanie." “A bad guy." Sam corrected. Their conversation drifted back to work -- Sam had the stupidest students -- and they left together, before going separate ways on the sidewalk. Almost to his crosswalk, Ashley stopped chewing on his bottom lip and turned around. “Hey, hey Sam!” Ashley was absolutely not running to catch up to the hot professor. Only, he was, because he had it bad. Real bad for someone he barely knew. And he knew a way to remedy that. Sam slowed ahead of him, eyebrows raised. “Wanna get drinks sometime after work? There's a bar,” Ashley pointed over his shoulder, down the street, “that way, with happy hour prices I think even a professor can afford.” “There's no way that's true.” Ashley laughed. “Yeah, sorry, they're not free.” Sam squinted, reminding him of Juniper yesterday, and Ashley had to stifle another laugh. “I'm free later today.” “Around 7?” Sam nodded. “Nice. It's called Wilson's. Right,” he pointed again, with his coffee in hand, for emphasis, “down there. Professor friendly prices.”  They parted ways after that, and Ashley couldn't calm his excitement the rest of the day. His secretary Jessica tossed him worried glances every time he answered the phone before her, voice cheery. They met up for drinks, like they had said. The bar was loud at happy hour, people in business suits sprinkled throughout the bar. They found a quieter spot farther from the door. They were two drinks in when Sam asked Ashley about high school. “I was such a douchebag.” Ashley laughed, rolling the bottom of his beer in a circular motion. “Threw those weekend parties like in the movies." “With like blacklights and stuff?” “Yeah. I got my older cousin to order strippers one time.” Sam laughed at that, a sound Ashley hadn't ever heard before, and he watched Sam's shoulders shake. “What about you?” Sam played with his beer, wiping at the sweat absently with his thumb. “No strippers.” Ashley muffled a laugh against his palm, leaning into it. “I was uh, on the robotics team in high school. So.” Ashley cracked up next to him. “You would be on the robotics team.” Ashley took a sip, smiling against the brown glass just picturing it. Sam, but with bigger glasses and a terrible haircut. He was probably still cute. “So, virgin until college?” “Asshole.” Sam smirked, looking down at his beer. “I don't know what crazy parties rocket scientists go to. Do you guys talk about the periodic chart of atoms or whatever?” Ashley leaned closer, grinning. He was shamelessly flirting but he hadn't been out with someone in a year. He'd been too busy helping run Park Manufacturing to focus on relationships, let alone friendships. “There's so much wrong in everything you said.” Sam's blue eyes lifted from his drink to Ashley, finally. Sam didn't smile like anyone Ashley knew, not big and bright. It was faint and easy to miss. It was subtle, and handsome, and suited Sam's face, only Ashley's eyes lingered too long on his mouth and the smile disappeared. The atmosphere between them shifted and Ashley straightened himself a bit. “I got an anthropology degree, and now I run a huge manufacturing company.” He swallowed more beer. “I know shit about science, okay.”  “I didn't know anthropologists ran companies.” The tension cut and Ashley relaxed again. “This one does.”  They both finished their drinks and walked down the street together. “Wanna get a drink next week, same time and place?” Ashley smiled at Sam and he considered. “There's another place, closer to the university. It's cheap enough for students.” Ashley's smile dug into his cheeks, numb from the beer and a night spent smiling. “Sounds good. Hey uh, I'll give you my number.” He motioned at Sam, who took a moment to reach into his back pocket and pull out a phone. He unlocked it before handing it to Ashley, and he keyed in his name and number. Sam took it back and stared at the name. “‘Ashley with a money sign, CEO, looks like a villain'. Very professional.”  “I know.” Ashley shrugged casually before laughing. “I'll see ya next week.” “Yeah. Have a good weekend.” Ashley smiled as he backpedaled, turning to head back to his loft. He had left work early with a stack of papers on his desk and an inbox of unread emails, but he wouldn't worry about it until tomorrow. He was in the elevator to his apartment when he realized he never got Sam's number and groaned, “you freaking idiot.” Two minutes after slumping onto his sofa, his phone vibrated where he had left it on his chest. 1-555-555-0117 [09:10 PM]: hey, this is Sam, no money sign, not CEO. Thanks for getting drinks Ashley stared at the message, sprawled on the couch in his quiet loft, and laughed. He rolled inward, face pressed into a decorative pillow. A$hley, CEO, looks like a vil... [09:13 PM]: hey! No prob A$hley, CEO, looks like a vil... [09:13 PM]: but mayb dont tell juniper u hung out with the bad guy today Sam, no money sign, not CEO [09:14 PM]: Yeah, I'm sure she would have even meaner names for you. Like 'super villain.' A$hley, CEO, looks like a vil... [09:15 PM]: u should really teach her not to b so mean Sam, no money sign, not CEO [09:15PM]: I'll try my best
Ashley groaned into his pillow. He had it so bad.

Single Dad AU
“Juniper, just hold my hand in line, okay?” She nodded as Sam unbuckled her from her car seat and lifted her to the ground. They headed inside the city cafe Sam frequented before going to university.
In line, her small hand squeezed his as she teetered back and forth on her feet. She didn't have daycare that day, meaning Sam had to bring her to school. His students were going to fawn over her all day. “Didn't realize you had a daughter.” A familiar voice spoke behind Sam and he turned to look at Ashley. They came to the coffee shop everyday before work, and Ashley had started a conversation one morning when one of the espresso machines held up the line. They talked every day now, just short conversations about work or an idiot in line. Sam knew Ashley worked for Park Manufacturing, and that he made a decent income (he had seen his car keys before, and his black card), but they were friendly strangers outside of that. Sam smiled softly down at Juniper. “Oh, yeah, this is Juniper.” Her dark eyes lifted from the linoleum to Ashley. “Juniper, this is Ashley. I told you about his expensive suits.” “Really? I said something one time.” Ashley laughed, croaky but Sam didn't know if that was just because it was early. He knelt to be at her level. “Hi, Juniper. You're looking adorable today.” “You look mean." Juniper squinted. “Like a bad guy.” “Whoa, Juniper, that's not nice.” Sam squeezed her small hand. “Say sorry to Ashley.” “No.” She pointedly turned away from Ashley and they both stared. Ashley raised his shoulders up defensively, unsure but smile intact. “She's not usually like this, I'm sorry.” Sam shook their hands gently as Ashley stood upright. “Juniper, you can't talk to someone like that. Please say sorry.” Juniper glanced over her shoulder, eyes narrowing again as she deliberately eyed Ashley up and down, and then turned away again. She mumbled something. “Juniper.” “Sorry!” Sam stared at his almost five year old daughter and her odd behavior. This was new. “Might be too early for her,” Sam looked to Ashley, who shrugged, grinning. “I'm sorry.” “I get it a lot.” Ashley took out his phone, which indicated to Sam the end of their conversation. “It's probably the expensive suits.” After Sam received his order, he waved to Ashley, passing him on his way out. “See you tomorrow.” “Same time and place.” He smirked, bringing his phone to his ear.

In canon, how does the Sam/Ashby confession go down?
In the canon for #SeniorYear verse, Sam and Ashley spent their senior year of high school pining for each other. They were both too afraid to do anything, mostly because their friendship means an incredible deal to each of them. There were times Ashley wanted to tell Sam about how he felt, like at any of his parties, maybe even just during a quiet drive home from school, any day. But Sam and the Lexington’s are the closest thing Ashley has to a happy family, and he didn’t want to risk it. And Sam worried he would push his best friend away if he pursued anything. There were times he wanted to kiss Ashley too, like when they went on vacation for New Years and watched fireworks together on a beach, or when Ashley would sleep over his house and sit close while Sam played video games or watched a movie, sometimes nodding off against his side. Before they go to college, Ashley drags Sam on a trip to the west coast, and tells himself he’ll tell Sam there. That way, if Sam doesn’t reciprocate Ashley’s feelings, they can drift apart in college, and it’ll hurt less. Or well, Ashley tells himself that. But totally doesn’t do anything. The entire trip. Because Sam just means so much to him, and every time he wants to say or do something, he realizes he doesn’t want to ever drift away from Sam. Meanwhile, Sam spent the whole vacation finally working up the courage to do something. Sam thinks Ashley might like him as more than just a best friend, same as him, but he would hate to be wrong and jeopardize everything.
On their last night, while they’re packing to go home, Ashley stumbles through saying how much Sam means to him, tries to keep it casual by laughing and joking around, so Sam might not think its weird. And Sam just kind of, stops, stops packing, stops worrying and walks over to Ashley, and apologizes (“If I’m wrong, I’m really sorry,”) before bending down and kissing him.

so i get that jasper is asexual, but does he ever enjoy helping kasey get off? or is he more sex-repulsed?
Jasper doesn’t not enjoy it, if that makes sense. He isn’t sex-repulsed. He loves Kasey so anything they do is for Kasey’s benefit and not his own.

Any of the cuties into Kpop? If so, fav groups?
Only Alex, Hazel, and Kasey! Alex likes to listen while he plays MMOs (girl’s generation/red velvet), and Hazel and Kasey like Kpop that they can dance to, so anything new and catchy, not too picky!

hi im new so i have a few questions about the crew of cuties, so do ashley and kasey have a good relationship? like do they communicate and all that like brothers? also im really curious about the feud between the Parks and Asanos, haha they dont seem to get along, well mostly Alex and Ashley, which gets me more curious on what Ashley think of Kasey and Jasper and what Alex thinks to. haha i just really love this family dynamic thing. anyway id live to know little random facts about them! thanks
Aw Anon, thank you!!
As for the cousins, Kasey and Ashley have a really good relationship with each other. Kasey keeps Ashley from being lonely all the the time because his parents are almost always on a business trip. (In Root Bound, Ashley’s parents focus more on their potion business than their own son) Kasey is more like Ashley’s guardian than anything, like a cool mom – he drinks with Ashley, gives him relationship advice, talks about his own relationships, and embarrasses Ashley, mostly.
Alex and Ashley’s animosity towards each other is just over pettiness. Alex isn’t the most popular in school and Ashley’s snarkiness gets on his nerves. He thinks Ashley is just a spoiled rich kid. And Alex not being able to take a joke gets on Ashley’s nerves. They’re only lukewarm friends. When Jasper becomes close to Ashley’s cousin, Alex lowkey worries and asks Ashley questions about Kasey, to make sure he’s a good fit for his brother. Both Alex and Jasper have trust issues after their Dad’s infidelity, and Alex wants to look out for his brother. Jasper and Kasey dating means Ashley gets to see his cousin more, since they live on opposite coasts, and Kasey flies over to see Jasper. Ashley is just happy Kasey has someone who likes him back, because Kasey has a big heart and deserves someone great.
Random facts about the Parks and Asano!
Jasper can’t go to bed without showering first, and later, he makes Kasey do this too
Alex loves playing video games with Sam and Reagan, but he’s literally the worst, despite trying so, so hard
Alex is also the worst at witty comebacks – he’s the type to be lying awake at night, staring at his ceiling, and then SUDDENLY, knows exactly what he should have said, but its like, three days late
Kasey likes to work out and play soccer, but he also likes to eat sweets, therefore he got a little chub belly and his booty is ridic
Kasey’s fave part of his body is his butt (  (    |
Ashley desperately wants his parents’ attention and for them to be proud of him and love him, but they care more about their work than him.
Jasper doesn’t like germs at all or anyone touching him because he hates germs. Kasey is an exception though. Jasper brings wet wipes with him everywhere.
Jasper and Kasey adopt two kids after they settle down and get married, twins named Porter and Peyton
Ashley drinks his problems away when he’s younger; when he’s older he buries himself in work instead
In Root Bound Ashley grows up with Kasey as his guardian, so he’s much more happy and less lonely, but he still thinks about his parents from time to time.
Also in Root Bound, Kasey accidentally turned Ashley into a bat when they were younger, and its how Ashley became close friends with Pudding the bat, too
Ashley enjoys trash edm music, and keeps the song “Ms New Booty” as his ringtone even as an adult (only to annoy Sam)
Alex loves cats. He LOVES cats. He has a pet ragdoll cat named pepper

I've always been curious: in the various AUs, what are some of the stories for Kasey's eyebrow scars (if they are scars)?
In modern AUs, Kasey got the eyebrow scars from soccer cleats!
In Fantasy/Pitch Devil AU, he got the scars from antagonizing Ashley and Ashley accidentally used his “gift”/magic on Kasey, which resulted in Ashley being banished from his kindgom, something Kasey deeply regrets.
In Root Bound, Kasey got the scars from an exploding potion when him and Ashley were much younger. Kasey isn’t good at potions (read: absolutely terrible), but Ashley is, and he told Ashley to add an ingredient he shouldn’t. And while Ashley protested, Kasey still poured it into the mixture. And boom, eyebrow scars from shards of glass. Kasey also one time accidentally turned Ashley into a bat, so he stays very, very far away from potion making.

sam and ashley 5 19 20 23 30?
5. Who is most likely to carry the other?
Figuratively, Sam. Literally, also Sam. Sam has probably had to carry Ashley’s drunk ass more times than he can count.
19. Who tells their family/friends about their relationship first?
Sam would. Ashley never really explicitly tells his parents, but they just sort of, find out, after a while. Like, via a wedding invitation. Or when they learn Ashley has a daughter.
20. What do their family/friends think of their relationship?
The Lexington’s are supportive, as both Sam and Ashley figured. Mrs. Lexington considers Ashley apart of their family already, so she’s happy to see both her son and him happy together.
As for Ashley’s parents, they have never really liked Sam to begin with, so when they find out later that they are dating, they aren’t necessarily thrilled. Mrs. Park is especially icy to Sam. Later, she likes the time she can spend with her granddaughter. Kasey, Ashley’s cousin, is extremely supportive though, and tells Ashley if he has any question about anything he can always ask him, to Ashley’s embarrassment.
23. Who comes up with cheesy pick up lines?
Neither really has to, but Sam, with his flat voice and expressionless face, would say pick up lines the best, and Ashley would probably crack up. Sam is the most likely to say Dad jokes, afterall.
30. one headcanon about this OTP that mends it
From a happier AU? Sam and Ashley are happily married the rest of their lives always!!!!! They do cute things to tease each other, like Sam and Juniper hide Ashley’s car keys, so he’s late for work (and they don’t care, they hate his job lol). And then Ashley and Juniper hide Sam’s glasses to make him late for his job at his university. Sometimes Ashley and Juniper sit in during his lectures, and raise their hands like they’re students and ask stupid questions. Ashley likes to hold his hand outside the covers on a chilly morning, and then sneak his cold hand against Sam’s stomach, making him whine and wiggle away. Sam likes to carry Ashley from their couch whenever he falls asleep there waiting for Sam to come home from work. Sam also likes to call Ashley handsome as soon as he wakes up, because he likes his tired, lopsided smile.
IE every scenario, the boyos are gross and disgustingly in love.
