So, it was clear that I was about to abandon this blog. I was barely active anymore. I had this huge text in my mind that I would post before I go, but I can't care anymore. Just one thing... I don't go because I ran out of inspiration for my muses. I still love them to bits and I would love to keep roleplaying with them. I am just... tired. Of trying to fit into a place that clearly doesn't want me. Of being blocked by people I had friendly conversations with. By being treated as the worst person possible simply because I read some fanfiction. I decided to take a break from the blog and my mental health improved so much. So I decided to get rid of the blog. I just stayed around for a while to finish up some RPs I had with the people who are cool. Thank you, you are the best. I don't regret having made this blog. I had a good time here. But I regret having getting involved with the tumblr RPC. Yeah, you drove me out. Be proud of it. I am not coming back. I will leave the blog up, but it won't be updated anymore. I am gone. It is your own fault for treating me like dirt. Oh and one last word in case of that one person looking on here... FUCK YOU!

schattenmagier:
Ah, alright. On the balcony then. She just hopes that ‘old man’ isn’t as  unpleasant as Laurence always made him sound like. Lilli also finished her tea, and got up to follow after the student.
“ Alright, alright. Lead the way then… “
The thief still wasn’t so sure about the whole situation. She didn’t wanted to know more about the vicar’s childhood. It would probably make things awkward between them. Ugh, hopefully that Willem will just let her stay, and she will be back to the Yharnam she knows tomorrow after waking up.
And hopefully, Laurence won’t get her into trouble as well if he does indeed annoy his Master Willem.
Laurence headed to the only staircase in the room and went it up. “Be careful on these stairs, I once managed to fall them down. That HURT, I tell you.” It was a memory he didn’t really want to relive. Soon they were on the second floor and Laurence headed towards a door which he pushed open, revealing a balcony with a breathtaking view over the lake. An old man was sitting in a rocking chair, clearly asleep. “That old geezer, taking a nap again.”, Laurence murmured, going up to him and nudghing him. “Hey Master Willem, wake up. I need your permission.” The man named Willem stirred and then murmured: “Laurence, I told you a hundred times already to not bring any cats into the school.” “What?! I am not talking about a cat, I am talking about a human.” Master Willem was awake in an instant: “Laurence, that is even MORE wrong.” Laurence crossed his arms and shook his head: “No, not like that, you old geezer! She got lost in the woods and would like to stay for the night!” He then turned to Lilli and said: “Can you explain the situation to him? He’s still half asleep.”

schattenmagier:
The thief just crossed her arms over her chest as she waited for Laurence to wake up completely. She was even tapping her foot, to show her lack of patience for him. And then he finally noticed her, and the woman just gave him her usual poker face. Can’t they leave already?
“ Gehrman would probably be angry at me if I just left you here… “
Lilli mumbled, and just continued to stare at him. The hunter might scold her. Because how many times had he also scolded her to be a bit nicer to the vicar? He usually did deserve the way she treated him. In her opinion at least.
“ Hurry up then… “
It was the mention of Gehrman that made Laurence wake up completely. Oh, he would be so mad because he had managed to break the curfew. He was up in an instant. “Let me run to the bathroom really quickly and then we can leave.”, he muttered and was already off before Lilli could say anything or he just wasn’t hearing it. He returned not much later, taking his threaded cane in his hand, tarned as simple walking stick. “I am ready. Let’s go.”

schattenmagier:
The thief woke up early in the morning. Which was normal for her. She quickly noticed that Laurence had not returned to their room, and wondered if he had stayed in the lobby. Well, just one way to find out. She grabbed her stuff, and went there just to see the vicar sleeping on the couch. What? Did he really slept on it the whole night? Tsk, and he told her it wasn’t because of her that he coudn’t fall asleep… Sure.
Before she tried to wake him up, Lilli first fetched her weapons from the clerk. She would not go anywhere without those after all. Just then she went to the lobby, and -rather gently- shook the man on the couch, trying to wake him up.
“ Wake up, Vicar. We need to go. “
The woman wouldn’t leave without him… Probably. Hm, if she would he surely would be kinda pissed at her again. Or Gehrman would be. And that’s something she can live without.
“What...?!”, Laurence slowly opened his eyes and then winced because his body hurt. Oh, he had fallen asleep on the couch, no wonder he was so cramped. He looked up to see Lilli stare at him. “Huh, and here I thought you would leave without me.”, he said and then stifled a yawn, he wasn’t too awake yet, “You probably can because I need a little time...”

schattenmagier:
“ Just because I left the way! “
She hissed, and her face went a bit red out of embarrassment. Hold on. It had been all a lie anyway! Lilli had never left any way, and has no idea how she ended up in the forest! Why is she getting embarrassed over it?!? Still, they got a point. She can’t see in the dark, and would rather not wander through a dark forest in the night. That surely wouldn’t be that smart. What did he meant with ‘worse stuff’ though?
“ Fine, fine. I will stay then I suppose… But just one night, and if your Master Willem allows it… “
The woman isn’t so happy to have to stay here. Even for just a night. And neither to meet that Willem that Laurence talked about it before. But apparently she had no other choice. Perhaps she will be back in the right… well… time when she wakes up. That would surely give her less trouble. Though the thief raised a brow as the boy told her to treat him nicely. Oh, now that sounded just like the Laurence she got to know.
“ I will treat you as nice as you deserve… “
She mumbled, and finally took a sip from her cup of tea which had cooled down a bit already.
“ Where is your Master Willem by the way? “
“Probably on the balcony. He is there a lot.”, Laurence said. “Yeah, I have seen him going there earlier.”, Gehrman confirmed. “That old geezer... wouldn’t surprise me if he is asleep.”, Laurence finished his tea and got up. “Come. We can ask him right away. And if he really is asleep, I can have my fun waking him up.” Laurence was grinning and rubbing his hands. Sure, he would get in trouble again, but messing with the old man was too much fun.

schattenmagier:
Huh. Laurence sounded a bit ‘sad’ that he couldn’t show his cats to her. It’s better if she doesn’t meets them. Could be awkward if they do decide that she was not a good person and attacked her. That surely happened before. Most of the time cats were just scared of her though.
“ Oh, yeah! I had one. But I vouldn’t mind some vine either! “
She might had not intended to drink, but hey. If Ludwig was already offering! The mage barely drank wine anyway. Just on special occasions actually. Lilli also looks amazed at the plate with food when he put it in front of her. It looked amazing! She can’t even remember the last time she had something home-cooked. Or something normal and not some junkfood.
“ Oh woooow! Zhis looks amazing! Zhank you! “
Ludwig poured three glasses of wine and put them next to each of their plates, then he took a seat himself. Laurence also sat down, sipping from the wine first while Lilli admired the food. “Just wait until you taste it. Ludwig is an amazing chef.”, Laurence said, not eating right away. He liked Ludwig’s food, but he couldn’t eat much and needed a bit of time to prepare himself for a huge meal. “I am glad that you think so.”, Ludwig smiled, “I hope that you like it, Lilli. Have a nice meal.”

My good friends are long gone, I’m the only active person left in our group. Tumblr turned too toxic for everyone’s mental health and left rping altogether. You know who stayed? The assholes that caused our fandom to drift. They act as if they didn’t throw anon hate and harassed us to no end. The kind ones doesn’t always win. Remember to be careful who you’re following with and, please, listen to victims.

schattenmagier:
And he stands up again, and Lilli glances over to the vicar. What? Wasn’t he happy that he won? That he had the bed all for himself? Apparently not because now it was him giving it up. And it surprised her even more that his insomnia isn’t triggered by her. She would have guessed he can’t sleep because it was her laying next to him.
The thief just watched him leave, before raising a brow as he turned to her one last time. ‘Little menace’? Alright…
“ Good night, you weirdo… “
Lilli mumbled before waiting for him to close the door behind him. And the moment he was out of sight, she stood up and went to the bed again. Strange. Even if he couldn’t sleep, wasn’t it kind of a victory for him to just have the bed for himself? Hm. What ever. She is just happy that she hopefully can sleep now in peace.
As he had said, Laurence went and annoyed the clerk. And it was much more fun than trying to fall asleep next to Lilli. He could basically see how the man wanted him to leave, but he would stay just where he was and talk to him about the church and rant about Cainhurst.  However, eventually Laurence really managed to fall asleep, in the very early morning. The couch in the lobby had just been too comfortable and he had ran out of things to talk about and before he knew it, he had fallen asleep. It wouldn’t surprise him if Lilli would leave without him should she wake before him.

schattenmagier:
And he was rambling… Honestly, Lilli stopped listening at some point. He was just talking as the older version of him that she got to know. Though, if she hadn’t met him, she probably would have found her way eventually. And her way back where she should be. The thief just wasn’t to sure how she should do that. Maybe when she is in Yharnam… But not today anymore apparently… They could also just point her into the direction where to go. Or was that curfew already a thing?
“ Uhm… Is it… alright if I stay a night? I mean, you can also point me in the direction and I will be gone. “
She wasn’t so sure if she felt comfortable with staying a night in a school. Especially the school Laurence and Gehrman had went to. While Lilli also didn’t knew who exactly he meant with ‘old geezer’, she had an idea. He told her about this person before probably…
“You want to go into the woods at night? You already got lost in broad daylight.” Laurence took a sip from his cup and then held it with both hands, however he managed, because it was still hot. For him, heat just wasn’t as bothering as for others.  “You can’t see shit during the night, even with directions, you won’t find your way. And besides, the way to Yharnam is hours on foot, you would probably have to walk half the night anyway and I don’t really see much food or water on you. Also, there are snakes and wolves and if you manage to run into the forest village the guards might shoot you without warning. Also there might be... worse stuff...” Laurence didn’t elaborate on what he meant however, he was sure that Lilli had enough reasons to stay for the night already. “I have to agree with Laurence.”, Gehrman chimed in, “It would be donwright irresponsible to let you go on your own. I would advise you stay the night and in the morning Laurence can show you the way to the carriage station. He goes there all the time and won’t get lost.” “See, I am useful.”, Laurence grinned, “So you better treat me nicely until tomorrow.” He took another sip of his tea and continued. “And yeah, you can stay, we just have to tell Master Willem or he might get mad. And I already make him mad enough on a regular basis.”

schattenmagier:
She just grins as he heaved himself out of the water, and back onto the pier. Lilli had been aware that the water was safe to push him in. None of the sharks were around, and the sea was calm enough. And… if he had been unfortunate to not be a good swimmer, she would have pulled him out. No need to kill him even if he had been mean to her. And, sure, the mer had expected him to be angry at her… but not like this.
The moment Laurence started screaming, her grin immediately disappeared, and she hecticly turned, and scrambled off the pier and into the water. He was so loud suddenly! That actually startled her. And while he screams at her, she stays just a little below the waters surface, still being able to hear him. Just after the vicar finally finished, she sticks her head a little out of the water again.
Tumblr media
“ ………………… “
But Lilli doesn’t says anything after his outburst. She isn’t sure what, if she had to be honest. One part of her feels bad for pushing him into the water, and another was thinking that he deserved it for talking to her as if she is stupid.
“ … You shouldn’t have talked to me like that then… “
The shark mumbled then, before pouting slightly. He really did deserve it… right?
“Do you even know how fucking COLD the water is for humans?! That was the same as me dragging you out of the water and forcing you to stay on dry ground for hours!”, Laurence was not finished yet. He was too mad. Maybe he went too far, but this mermaid had it coming. “Oh, I shouldn’t talk to you like this?! Bad news, I am the head of the church and have the mayor in my hands and that means this city is MINE and I can do whatever the FUCK I want here and yes, that includes screaming at mermaids!” Laurence started to shiver violently and his rant ebbed off. “....I am going home. If you see me the next time, you might want to apologize.”

schattenmagier:
Oh god. He wants to show his cats to her personally? That’s not a good idea. While, sure, there were some cats that didn’t minded the darkness that follows her, she had no intention of risking to get them pissed or afraid. Or get scratched by them…. or bit. It doesn’t happens often but it can happen.
“ No… I rather see pictures of zhem. I zhink I told you, cat’s don’t really like me, eh? “
Other animals reacted the same way of course. But he didn’t needed to know that. Maybe he will just think that she wasn’t a cat person. Which she actually way. Lilli loved cats, and other animals as well, but… well, the darkness surely hasn’t made it easy to connect with any animal she met. Thanks for that.
“ Oh, I’m sure ready for it! It smells awesome! And sure! I vill go first. “
She smiles at the two, before heading to the bathroom for a moment to wash her hands, and immediately came back. She can’t wait to try Ludwig’s cooking. Hopefully it tastes just as good as it smells.
“Oh right...”, Laurence murmured, waiting outside of the bathroom. What a bummer, he wanted to show Lilli his cats, but he also didn’t want to get sued when all eight of them decided to attack her. That wouldn’t look good in his police record.  Once Lilli was finished, Laurence also went to wash his hands and then joined them at the table. He was sure Ludwig had washed his hands multiple times at the kitchen sink already. “Ah, you already have a drink from Laurence?”, Ludwig asked, putting a plate for everybody on the table, “But if you would like, there is a wine that goes excellently with this dish. Would you like to have it?” “I am taking it.”, Laurence said, “You know that.” Especially because Laurence had already finished his cocktail.

Lilli took the cup from him, but didn’t immediately drink from it. Of course not! It’s still clearly very hot. She is not going to make a fool out of herself and burn her tongue in front of these two. Though she just raised a brow as she heard Laurence drinks his tea boiling hot. Damn, she wonders if his older self does this too. If yes then she must admit that it was mildly impressive.
And suddenly the young vicar was asking her many questions, so many that she couldn’t even answer a single one until Gehrman interrupted him. Ah, he is still as curious as she got to know him. Not surprising at all.
“ Well, to answer your first question… I strayed from the path, and couldn’t find my way back to it. That’s how I got lost. And… yes. I was trying to reach Yharnam. “
She lies through her teeth, and her eyes wander away from the young Laurence and to her cup for a moment. There are snakes in the woods? Good to know.
“ I have not encountered any snakes. And I suppose I would have found my way to Yharnam eventually. It would have just taken longer I suppose. “
“It’s awfully easy to get lost in the woods. Me and Micolash also got lost in here a few years ago. Because he suddenly hunted bugs. We were wandering around for hours! So no wonder you got lost, we were already used to the woods and couldn’t find our way back.” Laurence was rambling again, but he didn’t care, here was someone new and exciting. “I am actually from Yharnam, but I live in the school now.”, he continued, “It isn’t too far from here. Best bet is to take the carriage.” “I am afraid the last one might have already left.”, Gehrman intervened.  “Fuck, you are right.”, Laurence groaned, “Guess we have to ask the old geezer if you can stay for the night then, huh?”

schattenmagier:
She is still awake when he comes back, but doesn’t says anything when he slip into the bed again. Lilli does notice thought that he apparently still couldn’t fall asleep. Ugh. Could he seriously not sleep just because she was laying next to him? If he couldn’t, then he probably will do something and rip her out of any slumber she falls into. The thief was pretty sure of that. Maybe… it’s better if she just gives up the bed. Let him have it for himself. Perhaps that will make it easier for him. The woman let’s out a low sigh, before slipping out of the bed, but taking the blanket from her side with her. Just so she isn’t going to freeze if she already slept on the floor because of his insomnia.
“ Just try to sleep, alright? “
The woman mumbled, before taking a seat on the ground, leaning against the wall, before throwing the blanket around her. He won in the end. Ugh. And it bothered her a little of course. But heck, she could probably at least sleep in peace, and he as well. Lilli pulls her legs up to her chest, before resting her arms and head on them… And soon she falls asleep again.
And there it was. Laurence had the bed, but he didn’t feel good about it. Because he knew he would get absolutely no sleep this night. He has already known it anyway. Why had he acted so childish about it? He got up and put on his shoes. “Nah, you can have it.”, he said, “I won’t be able to sleep and even if it is unbelievable, it doesn’t have to do with you. I will go and annoy the clerk in the lobby. They probably are bored anyway in the night. Nobody ever comes in during the night anyway.” With that, he walked to the door and then turned around one last time. “Good night, you little menace.”

schattenmagier:
The way he spoke to her, and the rolling of his eyes made her guess that he thinks she was stupid. Lilli knew that the ships were made for and that humans couldn’t survive in the water! They had no fins, or gills, or claws and sharp teeth to fight against anything in the water! But why have things with you that break if they touch water when going on a ship? That didn’t made sense. It could sink any time after all! But the shark surely didn’t liked the way he talked to her. And the way he grinned while scribbling something down… it really didn’t made it better.
“ That’s because shark parents don’t stay around their children after giving birth. “
The fathers especially. She had never met him It was the same with mersharks as it was with normal sharks. Her kind at least. She had seen her mother like one time after she was born and that was it. Though it’s nothing Lilli feels sad about.
But now it first was payback time for him speaking to her as if she was stupid. So the mermaid, gives Laurence space again, before laying on her stomach… and swipes her tail to push him into the cold seawater.
Tumblr media
“ Oh whoooops~ I am so sorry! It seems like you have to write it all down again~ “
Laurence continued to write the information down, when suddenly he lost his balance and it was clear why. He had been slapped with a fish. Or more, by a fish tail. With a distressing noise, he fell into the water and it was so COLD! It stung his skin and he could feel himself shivering in an instant.  He was gladly a good swimmer, so he made it back to the pier just fine, climbing out of the water, still shivering, where Lilli sat there, grinning. Oh, she didn’t have a clue what was coming. “Look what you’ve done! I am sopping wet now and the water is freezing and now I get sick and I hate getting sick, I always get the worst colds, with the high fever and my boyfriend told me to not use the blood too much and that means I have to stay in bed and can’t work and I will feel awful and do nothing but cough and sneeze and have a head that feels twice my size and my throat will hurt and everything will fucking SUCK and it is alone your fault!”

Ornstein slowly nodded his head. He knew about the harshness of winter. The callousness she was talking about. Though this land seemed to be especially callous because of the approaching winter.
“Thank you, you are truly a good girl, Shireen.”, Ornstein said with a smile, “I sure hope that you won’t pass before me, but should it happen I will be by your side, though, I plan to protect you from any harm as long as you stay at my side. This old knight still knows how to fight.”

“And you are a good friend,” Shireen rejoined warmly. “I am glad to have met you. Thank you. I… I truly don’t mind the idea of dying, not so very much, but I… Yes, I wouldn’t want to do so alone. I would be content to have you with me at the end.” The girl paused in her practice to beam at him, “I feel safe with you, good ser. It is… a feeling I am very grateful for, as I am that I have you.”
“Maybe we should go back to our training instead of talking about such a grim topic.”, Ornstein said, “At least I would like to not think about death yet, I still have something to do. Or more, someone to find. Who knows, he might even hide in this very country.” Ornstein walked a few steps away from Shireen and picked up his sword. “Alright, are you ready for the next lesson?”

Can I give the muses one last hug before the blog closes?
Of course you can, anon!
Tumblr media
Ornstein shies away for a bit, but then accepts the hug.
Tumblr media
"Oh, you want to hug me?! Come here then. A rare hug from the Vicar himself!" The Pale King seems to be really against it, but relucantly gives one when his wife nudges him. Lum doesn't even have to be asked, he gives the warmest hug he can muster. Which isn't much because he is undead... but the thought counts!

shireentheunburnt:
Ornstein could just stand in silence when Shireen told her tale. So young and so much pain already… he really didn’t wish a life as long as his on her, his pain had come far later and he was already a broken mess of man.
“I am sorry for the pain that you went through.”, Ornstein said instead, “You didn’t deserve that. Any of that.” He shook his head then. “You are a good girl.”, he said, “But don’t worry about me, I am coming to terms with my long life. I can feel how my immortality slips away. I probably won’t live that long anymore anyway…”
***
“Thank you. I think… it is the nature of winter to be cruel in such ways. Other seasons are not completely kind, but winter… It seems to hold a unique callousness that more people than should take to heart to emulate.” The girl sighed and shook her head, but favoured Ornstein with a grateful smile for his words all the same.
“You are kind to say so,” she dipped her head to him. “Don’t worry, should you pass, I won’t let it be alone.” The girl hoped the man she was coming to regard as a dear friend returned the sentiment for her, but she wouldn’t demand it of him. She simply knew the pain of facing death alone without so much as a comforting hand in one’s own and, while it was in her power, she wouldn’t allow such a fate to also befall someone she cared for…
Ornstein slowly nodded his head.
