i might not care about deku and ochako as a token hetero couple and think they would break up after 2 months of dating as teens, but i DO believe these two would be really comfortable with each other even though there's no deeper romantic/sexual attraction like at the end of the day they're really good friends and i think this little dating phase would make them grow closer as friends afterwards lmaoo. like 20yo deku knows he can go to ochako for dating advice or just to talk about his love life and i think that's cute. meanwhile ochako is fighting for her life trying to figure out if she likes men or not (this goes on until she's like 25)

Lyrics are from Boygenius' Bite the Hand. Like many of the songs I listen to when I think of these characters, I think it can apply to a large portion of the cast, but I always think of Kacchan first.

it's nearly 5am. do u ever wonder about how class 1A first reacted to deku calling bkg "kacchan". like before they knew that the two had history. before they had a sliver of context though I imagine it just made things more confusing. just a teenage guy calling another teenage guy (who's incredibly rabid at the start of the series, entirely self absorbed, arrogant, and unapproachable) this adorable, childish pet name with very friendly, almost intimate connotations. and it's plain to see that they have the worst visible relationship known to man. there's nothing that sparks joy at the moment. this so-called "kacchan" is going to bite midoriya's head off but he doesn't tell midoriya to stop. like what the fuck. imagine being 1A. imagine being kirishima, day 1, hearing that for the first time. imagine what went through his head. this guy called bakugou what now? and he got away with it?

While the ending still has it flaws, at least it did not end up with Izuku and Ochako getting married and having kids. In fact, Horikoshi basically said to think of 431 how we want, so we can just say they are not canon since Izuku never said 'I love you' to her, and move on. So, this is actually better than what Naruto Shippuden left us with since we are likely not getting a Boruto or something worse for My Hero Academia. I'm glad all our faith paid off in the end, even if we had to wait longer than planned to get there.
