Cat study, pencil sketch, size: very small approx A7.
Once again, work and other stuff has taken up most of my time but earlier in the year I discovered a passion for drawing cats.
I adore cats but I'm allergic to them so this is a way I can express my love and affection for the domestic feline.

Inspired by mulled wine in a Moroccan tea glass.
A slightly festive combination of traditional pen drawing and digital painting.

The White City.
He had read about it but never thought he would actually see it. It shimmered and seemed insubstantial under the hulking skyway.

"Coffee Swirls"
It had become a ritual to use the first cup of coffee for scrying, before adding the milk. It kept the magic alive and her sight honed.
(Continuing my experiments combining traditional and digital art.)

Schiele and Atwood. A heady combination.
Tumblr media
Port Of Trieste -1907 by Egon Schiele
(12 June 1890 – 31 October 1918)
“Water does not resist. Water flows. When you plunge your hand into it, all you feel is a caress. Water is not a solid wall, it will not stop you. But water always goes where it wants to go, and nothing in the end can stand against it. Water is patient. Dripping water wears away a stone. Remember that, my child. Remember you are half water. If you can't go through an obstacle, go around it. Water does.”
- Margaret Atwood - The Penelopiad

“The Castle on the Rock”
The moon looked down on the castle as she had done for centuries, glad that peace had come to the land.
Digital pastel.
This was painted from imagination without any starting idea or preparatory sketches. I blocked in areas of colour, building up thin layers and worked with what emerged. I love castles and I’m reading “The Return of the King” by Tolkein so that may have had an influence. It’s a wonderful book to read with a hot drink in hand as the daylight fades.

Enchanting.
Tumblr media
The streets have been so foggy lately, and on one drive one of these days I got mesmerised by the way light from other cars shone through the trees and hit the fog. Tried to capture it here 🌫️☁️

“Love in Autumn”.
The leaves will fall but my love is constant.
Digital pastel and digital pencil.
Different parts of me like to paint different subjects in different ways and it's only fair to allow them self expression, too.
