Hey there guys, it’s Itzel!!! So I got a mini update… I order my laptop just last night and it’ll hopefully be arriving before end of the month, yippee :D!!! As well as some other stuff like a cover for the laptop, a case for my iPad, and a usb hard drive. I’m really hoping I could save the data from my old laptop so I bought one. But yeah, even if not, I’ll still be able to start streaming and working on bigger uploads again by beginning of March!!! WOOOOO!!! Thank you all who have shared and donated to the GoFundMe!!! Because of you guys, I’m able to pay for equipment!!!

So please continue to donate if you could and share it around. Cause while we have reached a lot, there’s still 2 and a half months till I take it down and we still need $189 before reaching the goal. So please continue, I’m honestly kinda hoping to get a little more than past the goal in case of anything. I do think I’ll have extra for things like occasional personal spending, as well as plans like going to another con or two sometime this year, go visit my girlfriend, and some other things. Either way, I really appreciate all the support and I hope we could reach the goal!!!

Speaking of goals, we did reach the goal of the bet of me making the Bride/Daughter of Discord video (thanks Melo, thanks Jazz >:( /s /lh). And starting Tuesday, February 18th (maybe later if we have issues with my iPad, we’ll see), we’ll be doing watch parties of episode of both series!!! So if you wanna join in on the madness, please join the Kawaiipony Productions channel Discord server <3!!! We’re hoping to do more silly stuff like this so yeah!!! As for the live reading stream of (at least one chapter, we prob won’t do the dull story) of Son-in-law of Discord. We’ll be planning to do that sometimes during March, maybe delay to early April if anything happens.

Lastly, I wanna talk about the sub goal I had… I am still aiming for that, 1,000 subscribers by sometime in early April and I will do a Q&A face reveal that I’ll post on April 11th, aka the 7 year anniversary of Kawaiipony Productions and my 18th birthday!!! I know it seems like a stretch, but I know my community well, and I think we can possibly do it!!! So let’s try to make it happen, share my videos and channel around!!! It helps out tremendously!!! Crossing Bounds Mini Update

Hi everyone, wanna let y’all know there will be a delay in work related to Crossing Bounds… reason being well, no shocker, my laptop… things have been getting really bad related to this as it hasn’t worked in the past 4 days. I was going to try to finish episode 1’s script last week, but because I can’t access the doc rn due to this issue, I can’t continue scripting the episode.

I’m hoping to buy a new laptop with some of the current GFM money that my cousin sent to my Venmo so I’m really hoping I can find a laptop soon so I could hopefully do the following.

Finish up scripting episode 1 and script episode 2 (which will luckily be a lot easier since it’s a more slice of life episode and majority of the planned dialogue aside from stuff I’m figuring out with episode 1 is already planned out)

Finish up designs and do livestreams again working on them

There’s a lot I’m struggling with right now, especially with me finishing high school soon. I’m hoping that if no further delays happen and if I get the courage to personally ask a few VAs I’ve wanted to hire specifically for this project. Then I could finish up casting by end of the month. I’m also hoping to order the new laptop by then so that way, I can immediately start streaming again in March as planned. There’s a lot going on so to the current CB team, sorry I haven’t communicated about all of this till now, it’s just really hard trying to figure things out. This is my first time directing so while I have heard experiences from multiple people and am friends and mutuals with people who have directed their own fan projects and even original indie animated shows, I am still a heavily inexperienced teenager just figuring out as I go. I hope y’all understand. I’m trying my best. Hopefully, we could figure things out soon so yeah, but anyways, that’s all from me.

1/31/2025 Update

Fuck it, I might as well state the news... in the past few days, I've been semi-privately been getting casting for characters for Crossings Bounds. We've already gotten a few artists and a decent amount of characters have slowly been cast these past few days!!! And from what it seems like, by end of the week, we may have a little under half of the cast already taken for roles, EEEEEEEEEEEEE X3!!! I'm already so happy with the results!!! I'm hoping to finish Episode 1's script next week cause I'm finally out of writer's block as well!!! I can't wait for things to get started soon!!! I've had ideas for this project for so long. I just never really started on it cause of things like life, other work, etc. But I think I'm finally ready for getting things properly started!!! And I'm really happy it's getting to that point!!! So thank you all so much!!! I'm incredibly happy with how this AU is turning out already!!! I hope you all are just as excited as I am <3!!!!

So, I'm bored rn and wanna do something simple while I'm watching Kyzer's newest video, I might as well do a small (editor me here... this was not small lol) info dump on Crossing Bounds. More specifically how mortality works in the AU.

So, there's three different levels of mortality in the CB universe; mortality, semi-mortality, and immortality. And here's how all of them works.

Mortals: This is the most common form of mortality, and it's kinda the basic one like we humans deal with irl. Could be killed by things like illnesses, being shot, stabbed, aging, etc. There isn't really much to bring here as it's literally what we deal with, but still. Some species that are mortal include humans (obviously), mobians, most species of pony (earth, pegasi, and unicorn), yaks, changelings, hypogriffs, kirin, griffins, zebras, mushroom people, koopas, goombas, and most kinds of monsters.

Semi-Mortals: Semi-Mortals are a sort of in between of Mortals and Immortals. Where yes, they can't die as easily in a way. More specifically, if a Semi-Mortal is a species that's organically born. Then yes, they age, and once they reach adulthood, they age physically a lot slowly. They could usually live hundreds (possibly up to a thousand or more) of years, but can't die AS easily from illnesses or murder. They could still die, just the time and effort it takes is a little more. You don't need anything special though to kill a Semi-Mortal if they aren't a creature or sub-creature with any really powerful magic and powers such as toons or more powerful gems. Some species of Semi-Mortals though could be inorganically created/born. Meaning they're likely created to look like an adult and are emotionally adult. Such as toons, toons aren't necessarily a species of sorts, but they are... well... toons are hard to describe in the CB universe. Some could be created inorganically through magic (in that, they can't physically age, though dying through age is still possible) or organically through birth and such. And with toons, they could be all sorts of creatures like humans, ponies, mobians, yaks, etc. But either way, they can die from things like age, but they age a lot slower by adulthood and have to be REALLY sick or attemptively murdered a little harder than a Mortal to be killed. Some Semi-Mortal creatures includes gems (with one exception), toons, and witches.

And lastly... the most powerful... Immortals... Immortals tend to be other worldly sort of beings and the most powerful both in actual magic/power and hierarchy. A lot of immortals are inorganically made creatures which means a lot of the time, they don't physically age. And those that are organically born/made species Immortals completely stop physically aging by adulthood with some exceptions as they change physically by gaining more power with time. So they can't die at all by aging, it's not possible for them to simply die by age. As for illnesses, there's little to no instances where an Immortal has died of such. So they likely can't and if they do, it's likely from a massive drain of power that happened prior to gaining their illness. As for murder... it's still possible. But... you need very, VERY special weapons and material to kill an Immortal. I'm still figuring out what that kind of material is, but I could say for certain... there's definitely rare and powerful material and weapons that could kill an Immortal being. Immortal species include angels, demons, fallen angels/half angels and half demons, alicorns, the draconequus, and the Diamonds.

Now, just because all of these are usually defaulted by creatures, this doesn't mean a person that's a Mortal creature could be Mortal per say. Or that Immortals and Semi-Mortals can't lose their longer life span and powers. Because here's the thing, one's mortality isn't entirely dependent on species... it's more about their powers. Some Mortals have been given powers by Semi-Mortals or Immortals that make them much more powerful or they become a more powerful species that changes their mortality levels. Or even be revived to live longer. Such as Pink Diamond/Rose's (and obviously by extent, Steven's) power to healing could revive someone and make them Semi-Mortal if that person is born Mortal. Just like what happened with Lars and presumably Lion. If reviving a Semi-Mortal or Immortal, nothing changes aside from their now pink hue. Another instance is Twilight being turned into an alicorn by Celestia. She became completely Immortal after this, and so did Cadence when she became one as well.

And as well, an Immortal and Semi-Mortal could lose their powers, and if enough is lost... well... so does their level of mortality. This doesn't happen too often... at least from what many think. But it does happen, it's typically out of punishment for when someone is caught for committing a crime against the Multiversal Council and stepping out of line. And in many if not most cases, it immediately leads to an execution trial being planned not long after so there's usually not a sign of how much longer an Immortal or Semi-Mortal could live for past this. This also means if such as an example, Tirek were to drain the magic of the alicorn princesses just like in season 4's finale, then yes, they became Mortals after that. Since they became Immortal again not long after, they didn't suffer any side effects or anything that could lead to death. Not most Immortal or Semi-Mortal creatures can't necessarily be turned into Mortal creatures entirely. It's possibly they could shapeshift to ones, which doesn't affect their mortality. It's really hard to entirely turn someone to a completely different creature with the results of making their mortality a lot shorter, so there isn't enough known information if that's possible. This is mainly because you're not just changing their lifespan, but their physical form as well. And it's already hard enough as is to do both separately as most species can't even shapeshift which makes transformation magic one of the hardest forms of magic to achieve for most. But doing the two together could put harm on both who's beings casted on and the caster themselves. So aside from exceptions like making an alicorn lose their horn and/or wings, it wouldn't be possible. But it is still possible to make them lose powers without a permanent species change. Though it's usually someone who specializes in it or is powerful enough to do so magic wise.

On a more personal note.

There's a lot that goes into thought about how mortality works in this AU of mine and for good reason as life, the meaning of life, and death is kinda an important message in this story. So goes into a more personal things so trigger warning for the next bit on topics such as death, suicide, possibly ED (not fully sure as I haven't talked to a professional about that), intrusive thoughts, and self harm.

When I started having ideas for this story when I was 10-11 in early 2018, I was starting to deal with a lot. My mother had a miscarriage and my uncle had also passed around this time. Not long after I started YT, I was also told I was high risk of being pre-diabetic. And I started gaining issues of focusing too much on losing weight from it and that it led to me not caring for my body that well. I also have always bit my nails and peeled skin as I get anxious really easily. And considering in 2018, I tried coming out as bi to my parents and they weren't accepting, I started dealing with suicidal thoughts and intrusive thoughts of killing myself. And while it went away for a bit in 2019, it got worse again in 2020 when I was dealing with things such as Team Salt, realizing I was non-binary, ace, and autistic, and a lot of other things. This is when I started relating Twilight from Mlp even more than I already was. She was already my favorite pony for years at that point, but when I was changing CB's story again, I thought it'd be interesting to write this into her arc of this story as I feel like it'd be interesting to write. It's why I have so much stuff planned on how this system works. Hell, it's technically not everything as there's also the system of how souls work in CB. But that's for another day.

I think that's all from me. This is just a really deep topic I thought of sharing related to the AU. It's honestly one of my favorite things I wrote on it so yeah. I though of sharing this for y'all!!! So I'm done for now, see y'all <3!!!
