It is done! The blanket for my boyfriend’s mom is complete, besides washing. I’m so proud of myself and can’t wait to give it to her for Christmas!

My hands/wrists are so tired. I wound like half a 1 pound skein of Caron yarn by hand because my cat pulled out the middle and it was getting tangled ☹️

I made bread!

I’ve been trying to make okay bread for so long but it kept not working right. I troubleshot for a bit and now I finally have real bread, not lumpy heavy dough balls!

Cross stitch or crochet (though I am a beginner on crochet myself) for me! I know my posting is super erratic but if I see a message or post for someone I always look at it and respond as soon as I can.

when i was new to knitting, i remember being too shy to reach out to more experienced knitters bc omg they’re going to see how clueless and new and bad at this i am and look, i know i’m not the best knitter in the world, but if there are any new knitters out there who feel too intimidated to reach out to me for anything (advice, help, show off the thing you’re proud of) please know that i have been where you are, and am here now as your super supportive knitting elder who will be so happy to see how far you’ve come, or to help you figure out what’s not working, or to give advice or encouragement as needed or really anything else i can do for you bc knitting is that wonderful to me and i just really want you to have a good time doing it too!

Purple blanket update! It’s still pretty small since I’ve been working on other projects but also because I’ve been wondering whether I should make it a little bit wider (taller in this picture). I think I’m going to add one more group of the pattern along the top because right now it’s only wide enough for one person. Since a couple of people live with my bf’s mom I think it’d make more sense for it to at least be a 2 person blanket!

I can’t get enough hexagons ❤️ and honestly this is made of one of my favorite color palettes! I don’t think the blanket I eventually make for my boyfriend and I will be hexagons but the colors in this are so tempting...

Absolutely gorgeous blanket!

It’s finished. My second hexagon blanket, this time in nice soft blues and greens. This has been a four-month long process, and I’m feeling so proud of the final result.

Working on this has shown me how much I’ve learned in the last year since finishing my yellow beekeeper’s hexagon blanket. I used my same pattern for both, but the experience shows in the small little fiddly bits of technical detail that no one but myself will ever know about.

Amongst other projects, this marks the third blanket I have finished in the last 12 months. I think it’s time to work on a few smaller projects for a while.

Hexagon love ❤️ I like this joining with a different color! Both my blankets right now are using joins with a color within the blanket (and I might’ve done this instead if I saw this before I started!)
