the greatest tragedy of it all is that once we pass, there will be no one to pore over the scenes of our life and speculate on each moment, no way to analyse it all with the hindsight of the full story and apply the brushstrokes of our themes to every action, to revisit it all in a new lens and to finally come to some conclusion about why it all happened.

instead we will exist fragmented in the theatres of the minds of those who know us, each of us an actor playing a hundred different roles that reflect and refract (and distort and disturb (and bastardise and beautify (and warp and wreck))) the image that shines from within us, shaped into characters that are not quite a lie but not quite a truth, and yet based in both.

to know and carry ourselves fully is a lonely, futile, and yet wholly necessary task; every stage needs its performers.
