Ramblings about Daredevil: Born Again after episode 7

**Spoilers**

Hot take but I feel like Muse should have been a way more important villain than that. I’d even go as far as to say he could have been a great main villain for this first season.

I love Fisk as a villain but his story feels like a sloppy remix of season 3 of the original show. And don’t get me started on the relationship he’s got going with Vanessa cause that shit feels so out of left field.

Muse would’ve been a new type of challenge for Daredevil especially if they had given him similar powers/abilities he’s had in the comics. They could’ve made him more hard to catch and build up his relationship with Heather and his obsession with her. It just felt underdeveloped and rushed with this latest episode. We only saw them interact one time before this.

I feel similarly about how they wrote Matt and Heather’s relationship, it just doesn’t hold any weight? We don’t know Heather at all, it just feels like she was written to fill a gap in Matt’s new life without Karen and Foggy.

And back on the whole Fisk thing, I feel like they wanted to capture the magic of the original show with him and if that was their intention it just fell flat.

Im hoping they pull through with the punisher storyline, it has promise from what they’ve shown but my said hopes aren’t very high with how they’ve handled everything else.

I’m so fascinated by how well they portrayed Gemma and oMark’s reunion that it made people switch up on Helly R and Mark S. At least on Twitter and TikTok, like this whole season everyone was rooting for the innies’ rebellious love story but man that reunion tied to one bottle episode to showcase their relationship was so impactful people are saying they *hate* Mark S for choosing his own life and being with Helly no matter what time they have left!!

Acting be too good people be forgetting the complexity of the characters and their choices, ya love to see it.
