i’ve written before about how uncomfortable it is being Jewish in most witchcraft/magic/occult spaces, but right now i’m feeling it particularly acutely as i try to navigate this queer & trans witchy renaissance we seem to be having (which is, i think, a direct response to the terror & loss of control we all feel in 2017 - magic has always been about resistance & survival to me & a lot of other people)
i’m tired. i’m scared a lot of the time. i want community & inspiration to help keep me going, so i reach for something like a zine that bills itself as an inclusive mix of queer & trans voices on witchcraft, resistance, activism - because it’s a group of marginalized folks, i (maybe foolishly) have this expectation of seeing myself in it, or of the editors being conscious of the many forms of cultural appropriation that happen in these spaces & working to educate about them
but what i’m finding, over and over, is two things: the first is that despite the fact that we exist in greater numbers than i’d ever have expected, there are no Jewish voices in any of the witchcraft-focused publications (indie or otherwise) i’ve ever encountered. the second thing, that cultural appropriation of Judaism & other forms of pervasive anti-semitism DO exist in these publications, just makes the lack of Jewish perspectives more glaring
so in the interest of being direct, here are a few things the queer & trans witchcraft community (i’d like to ask the ENTIRE witchcraft community, but i am speaking to people with whom i share something right now) can do & think about to help:
include us. if you didn’t think that any Jewish folks were involved in witchy communities, ask yourself why! is it because you thought Judaism was a religion only? or incompatible with ideas about magic? Judaism is an ethnicity & a culture - or more truthfully, a group of ethnicities & cultures - with long & complex histories of magic, mysticism & folklore. some of it is considered traditionally “kosher” & some of it isn’t! our relationships to that are individual, fascinating, & worth being shared!
stop throwing around the words “Abrahamic” & “Judeo-Christian” - especially when you want to talk about cultural values or historical oppression. 9 times out of 10, you just mean Christianity. yes, we share some text, but we have VERY different relationships to it. plus, if you’re talking specifically about the persecution of people believed to be witches, that’s the history of Jews being murdered by Christians. honestly just do us a favor & remove “Judeo-Christian” from your vocabulary, there’s almost no context where it’s an accurate description of anything.
educate yourself about appropriation. i should never have to see someone mention “practicing Kabbalah” in a zine that includes no Jewish people. our mysticism is connected to our culture, our history, our faith - not only do you have no business taking it, what could it possibly mean to you without its context?
understand that anti-semitism runs deeper than current appropriation - if you engage at all with any Western occultist or “ceremonial magic” literature or practice, you need to learn its history. what does it mean that the 15th century grimoire you’re drawing inspiration from contains Hebrew & calls itself Solomonic, but has no actual connection to Jewish people? what does it mean that the person who created the most iconic image of Baphomet, something beloved by a lot of queer & trans witches for being androgynous, gave himself a fake Hebrew name? i’m not asking you to throw all of these concepts & traditions out entirely - i have something of a love/hate relationship with ceremonial occultism myself, i collect vintage & antique things related to it & some of it is really interesting - but please at the very least educate yourself about it. specifically, educate yourself about how medieval Jews were treated while non-Jewish occultists were incorporating (often misunderstood or mangled) Jewish mysticism, language & folk practices into their frameworks.
if you’ve stayed with me this far, i appreciate it - i know this post is long & that confronting this stuff can be difficult, but i urge you to do some reading & listening before you push back. i’m writing this because i want to see things change - i want to see communities where people connect meaningfully to their own heritages & participate in actual cultural exchange & learning based in equity & mutual support.
i’m speaking to my own experience, but all of this goes for ANY marginalized culture/tradition being “drawn from” in witchcraft communities without actually including members of said culture.
many of us got involved in witchy things because we felt locked out of mainstream religious practice due to a mix of oppressions - let’s not replicate that in our own spaces.

Quote
Scorpio’s healing begins when it becomes possible for the individual to grieve rather than rage. Grief, sorrow, and remorse are feelings which seem to transform the bitter vindictiveness into something more fluid. One can begin to forgive life then. It is connected in some mysterious and deep way with the issue of emotional honesty.

growing pains 💔
while the moon sign may reflect direct influences on the native during childhood, it can also represent a lack of some kind which shapes their needs as they age. this may be an alternative upbringing instead of the obvious interpretation
note, to clarify: the native themselves didn’t necessarily “lack” anything, their childhood environment or the people surrounding them did
MOON IN ARIES lacked recognition, reward, profound excitement, spontaneity, or fulfilling risks in their childhood which creates a deep need to out-perform others in order to solidify their worth and individuality; there may have been a consistent absence of stimulation in their environment so that they now seek thrilling unfamiliar experiences (or foster an uncomfortable fear of such). They didn’t feel safe in their identity so now the instincts support the survival of ego.
MOON IN TAURUS lacked material comfort, personal space, luxury, security, or physical affection in their childhood which creates a deep need to acquire their own worldly possessions, wealth, and general abundance in their adult life. They may have “expensive tastes” now because they often “went without” in their youth. There is also a tender longing for sensuality, romance, and sweetness to make up for physical coldness, distance, or lack of attention from the parent(s).
MOON IN GEMINI lacked definitive proof / adequate rationale, communication, and intellectual fulfillment in their childhood which creates a deep need to glean answers out of the world around them; they have to make sense of life or they become anxious. They may have felt invisible and unheard, so now they speak more (or less) than their fair share because they don’t think others listen or care. They constantly felt misunderstood as a kid, so they’re inclined to over-explain.
MOON IN CANCER lacked tenderness, security, emotional attention, or gentle nurturance in their childhood which creates a deep need to either over-protect their emotions or force vulnerable, intimate relationships; they were deprived of true inner safety so now they obsess over it, over-share, cling to those they love and demand the affection & care they require. They can also become repressive and withdrawn, repeating their parents’ neglect and possibly becoming cold.
MOON IN LEO lacked heartfelt praise, attention, encouragement, or creative outlets in their childhood which creates a deep need to dominate the spotlight & remain the focal point (or they have a strong aversion to this & avoid it). Insecurities/nervousness are significant issues that are hard to cope with, and they need cathartic emotional expression (often through art) & positive feedback or they quickly become overwhelmed with self-doubt and feel trapped inside.
MOON IN VIRGO lacked support, guidance, mature & just reasoning, and stable improvement in their childhood which creates a deep need to become their own parent and independently steer themselves toward continual progress. They don’t feel like others are capable of helping them so they have an aversion to asking for it. The immense pressures they felt in their youth to make things run smoothly & achieve success by themselves persist (painfully) in adulthood.
MOON IN LIBRA lacked compromise, interpersonal harmony, and acceptance in their childhood which creates a deep need to perpetually undermine their own desires & emotions to keep others comfortable, consistently making sacrifices so loved ones don’t have to. Their identity may have been shunned, criticized, or judged in their youth, so now they feel like they have to keep things unique to them private & only share what others relate to, to conform to the social climate.
MOON IN SCORPIO lacked honesty, protection, validation, and healing in their childhood which creates a deep need to defend themselves from any external stimuli (person or situation) which they don’t know inside-out; they are highly suspicious because they felt lied to in their youth. They weren’t taught how to cope with or process emotions in a healthy way, so they develop negative patterns of thought and behavior which can become self-destructive.
MOON IN SAGITTARIUS lacked profundity, adventure, personal liberty, and truth in their childhood which creates a deep need to explore the world on their own, live without limitation, and discover the meaning of things independently. They strongly reject the realities other people try to force them to live in and avoid being tied down to anything that stifles or confines their expansive psyche for a fear of returning to the draining stagnation they experienced as a kid.
MOON IN CAPRICORN lacked structure, constructive criticism, and respect in their childhood which creates a deep need to force the world around them into a strict order to comfort their anxiety. Constant instability in their youth created a repressive cycle, containing the self to combat their frighteningly un-contained life. They weren’t taught how to gently improve themselves so they seek success & perfection through self-brutalization in pursuit of honor, to be worthy.
MOON IN AQUARIUS lacked forward-thinking, stable logic, and compelling originality in their childhood which creates a deep need to break away from tradition and normalcy, to “stir the pot” and establish an identity unprecedented in their family. They’re determined to invent a new way of life for themselves. There may have been over-emphasis on emotionality which made everything extreme and dramatic, so they disown their feelings to keep level-headed.
MOON IN PISCES lacked compassion, release, kindness, and intuition in their childhood which creates a deep need to manipulate tenderness & support out of their environment, since they had no other way to get it; they may leech it from loved ones for this reason. Emotions were externally suppressed or hidden, so now they require regular catharsis to stay healthy. As a child, they were spiritually & interpersonally uninspired, so now they romanticize to be content.

CADENT HOUSES: THE HORROR OF INHABITATION
In my last post about the cadent houses, I briefly explained their uncontrollable nature and inherent “futility.” Their open-ended energy, while brimming with opportunity, can be deeply disconcerting to us. The cadent houses are liminal; liminality is at the core of everything that humanity fears. The “thresholds” of reality, and the “unknown” that lies between or beyond, are key elements of all that is frightening, shocking, or disgusting to the structure of our hyper-focused consciousness. We seek to understand and to control, but in the cadent houses, we are at a loss of power and a great disadvantage because those realms don’t belong to us… yet we’re irreversibly intertwined with them. They’re inescapable, largely because they define the very perimeters of existence. We feel threatened by these perimeters because the truth about our lives comes into question, and we are fundamentally incapable of settling on an answer.
3 & 9: the horror of inhabiting one’s environment
OBJECTIVE PHYSICALITY: Themes of Motion & Presence
In the 3rd house, you are one small being amidst a chaotic hive of other small beings, all moving and reacting to one another. When you speak, you cannot control how your words are received by others or the impact they have on them; you cannot take your words back after they’re uttered. When you travel, even short distances, you cannot control the trajectories of objects in your orbit, and you cannot reverse collisions when they happen. You don’t control the elements outside of your body or personal actions, and you can’t anticipate the random events that occur around you. You are at the mercy of the passage and the permanence of time, and of the collective “living” of everything surrounding you.
In the 9th house, you are adrift in the stream of your culture, and you have very little power against the course of nature you’re caught in; no single person can change the world, certainly not just you. You are unable to control humanity as a whole – you can only be responsible for yourself. Your life will largely be determined by your circumstances, which you didn’t choose, and by decisions that were made far, far above you. When you take part in society, it becomes clear how inconsequential your beliefs & desires may be; everybody is wrestling their insignificance, clamoring to speak over one another as we seek to decide our own fates rather than succumb to the fate selected by collective chance. Happiness, freedom, and fulfillment may be entirely in the hands of luck.
6 & 12: the horror of inhabiting one’s own body
SUBJECTIVE PHYSICALITY: Themes of Consciousness & Self-Awareness
In the 6th house, you are a strange mind trapped inside a fragile form that dominates you. You did not choose any of this: you did not choose the way you look or the way you feel. You are a product of your body and you answer to it in all things. You do not choose to have a rash, to get hungry, to get tired; you do not choose to contract a disease or to deteriorate. It happens to you and you are forced to cope. This is an experience you inherited from the chaos that birthed you and now it’s entirely your responsibility to survive, to function properly, to give back what you “owe” to the forces that allowed you to exist simply because they allowed you to exist. In many ways, you are in perpetual service (arguably slavery) to your body and to the circumstance in which your body came to be.
In the 12th house, “you” are only a fraction of your whole self. There is an immeasurable unknown inside of you that you may never reach, understand, hone or control. Your consciousness is not fully within your grasp; you are having thoughts and enduring experiences under the surface which you cannot even perceive or interpret or claim to be yours. You’re living without your own permission; many of your traits, your affinities and aversions, your desires and fears, are determined by responses you had to things in your life that you were never aware of or can no longer remember. You are alive & growing & changing even in your sleep, when anything can happen and you do not have your hands on the steering wheel. Your mind is largely unattainable to you. There is always a monumental portion of your being and your existence that will be far away.
The horrors of the cadent houses are not typically experienced in a direct, frequent, or totally-cognizant way, because we don’t spend much time dwelling in their realms to the fullest extent. That is their nature, being liminal – we pass through, leaving before we get too uncomfortable. They are our “borders.” We do not like to linger at borders for long. Planets in these houses take special attention in order to even feel seen (let alone healthy or valued) because they are often glossed over and left in the dust while we concentrate on what we can grasp comfortably, what we feel stable standing on. People with heavy cadent influence tend not to feel very stable, because the entities of their being (planets) are swept away into a vast, vague mindscape and trapped “in-between.” They are often drawn to aspects of life or personal vocations which call them into contact with these spheres so that they can come into truer, fuller contact with themselves – fiction, exploration, and innovation in mysterious, impressionistic, often terrifying fields may become prized hobbies or careers for them, and they often become the unacknowledged pioneers who push the envelope in society.

the weak point, where we will heal
Chiron in Aries: I feel: defeated, I have no voice, I can not speak. I feel like having to battle everyone around me to prove me. I am not enough, authority challenges me. Am I aggressive for no reason? Am I a mindless hot head and weak in the wrong moments? Where is my idendity, who am I really? I need to prove it to everyone, especially myself. I will heal: Innerly. I am strong and I can speak without backing down, I will be brave for myself and fight for what’s right. I finally know my character.
Chiron in Taurus: I feel: worthless, I have no worth and I don’t feel secure. I crave stability, will I find it in goods? Will I find it maybe if I don’t move and stay the same forever? I need ressurance, I am scared and can’t make any steps further. I will heal: by looking past the face, I will dare to look constructevly at my life, I will work for stability, I can feel secure in myself because I can provide for myself, so there is nothing to fear anymore. I am beautiful and good.
Chiron in Gemini: I feel: stupid and overbeared by all the impressions and informations I get. I am scaref to talk. My believes and views are challenged. I can’t make any sense of it, I am scared to speak my mind and unsure about everything. I have difficulties interacting with my fellow human beings, my mind can’t stand still, I am unable to focus. I will heal: and finally sort out my feelings and ideas. I will find confidence and ways to clean up my thoughts and will see the benefits in talking with my fellows and appreciate their opnion. Changing my mind is part of the progress in life, I feel joyous and happy when intellectually challenged or stimulated.
Chiron in Cancer: I feel: abandoned and unloved. Where is my family, where is my mother? I want a family that functions as a saving harbour but I feel left out and mistreatend. Home is hell and I am part of it. The family generational curse is out to get me. I am afraid I can not form a healthy family myself later on. What is a ‘normal’ family anyway? I will heal: with my heart. Normal is subjective and I am not part of the grudge that seems to hold my family in a tight grip. I can choose my family myself, I am loved even when I doubt it and I need to remind myself. I will transform my pain into a healing hand that touches damaged souls.
Chiron in Leo: I feel: like a disgrace to myself and everyone else. I feel embaressed and I need to hide myself. I am too much, my love, my joy, my presence. I am shy and don’t want anyone to look at me: what if they hate me? Someone spoke too harshly with me and now I am scarred. I will heal: With my inner child by side. I am aloud to enjoy life and life out my passions. I am born to be looked at; everyone is unique in their own ways and I am too. The right people will appreciate me and I need to appreciate myself as well. I see my worth, I am glad I was born because I see the pupose of my life benefitting different situations and people.
Chiron in Virgo: I feel: exhausted. I am born to work and serve, but my body is aching. I see the negative in everything first, I am nitpicking myself and everyone else. I am not allowed to rest and enjoy. There is a mess around me, there is a mess inside me: my life is a mess, I need to clean up my whole existence. I will heal: by opening up to love and warmth. I need to feel the love vibrating in  the world I am on. I need to get in touch with my soul, my aims and pupose. I need to know the pin points of my life, everything else will solve itself later on.
Chiron in Libra: I feel: that I need to be always with someone, or do I feel alone? I give myself in into shallowness and have diffeculties forming meaningful relationships with my surroundings. I want to experience love I need to interact with someone because they need to fill the void inside of me. I see mirrors reflecting everything I give away from myself. I am not myself, I will change myself completely. I will heal: by realising that there is a connection between me and other people. I click with them and by helping them they help me. I am not shallow, the peoples are mirrors reflectig what I need, if they are wrong for me, what vibe and sensation do I give off? I can find solitude in myself as well, no one else is needed to give me the feeling of meaningfullness, relationships are an symbiosis.
Chiron in Scorpio: I feel: cursed by the world, powerless. Since I was born someone or something is out to get me. Leave me alone. My inner being is wrong and feels like it can’t fit in, there is a deep, deep trauma that happened once that is haunting me now. I doom myself for being born, I fear losing eberyone, no one is allowed to come near me - I feel evil and wish evil. I will heal: with my whole heart and soul. Nothing is out to get me, I am not cursed, I did nothing wrong, nor in my past, this is a way of shaping who I am there is a reason behind all of this but I am not being punished. I am alright with who I am and I am not scary, nor evil, or a monster that was formed by being hurt and alone.
Chiron in Sagittarius: I feel: lost in life and I fear having it lived meaningless. I feel pressured into finding a meaning and I want to achieve my dreams but it seems everything is getting out of hand. There are no roots holding me, I was tricked into false believes; my believes were belittled and killed. My soul feels restless and I need air to breath. I will heal: by accepting the cycle of life and realising I have the choice to create my life as I want. There is freedom and I can compromise between the rules. I will realise that there is a pupose in finding the purpose: the way is part of the destination. I have time and I don’t need to fear the future.
Chiron in Capricorn: I feel: powerless and stoic. Nobody sees my value and my meaning, I can’t really find my place in society. I feel underappreciated and I always have to work extra hard to hear a true ‘well done’. Do I need to keep up an image? A mask I put on as soon as I leave the house? The future isn’t bright; the future is dark and meaningless. I will heal: by being my own authority and giving me the respect and recognition I deserve. I know my true self and I will align my destiny with it. I know I’ve done well and when times comes they’ll see. The future is bright because it is directed by me.
Chiron in Aquarius: I feel: Alienated and too odd. Evryone wants to be unique but I feel too eccentric to be part of society. I am left alone with my thoughts and visions, I will act as normal as possible to have friends and a loving community. I want to get close to people but i fear them nontheless. I will heal: by admiring my inner core and coming i touch with others. We will earn from each other and appreciate and love our differences; the inspire and fullfill us eventually. I will find community, I will create a place of belonging for everyone, my unique way of seeing things will benefit my community. It will please the void inside me.
Chiron in Pisces: I feel: thrown out in the dark, helpless and overwhelmed. The world is cruel and love is a waste, I feel unbothered, untouched by it. There is nouniverse to guide me, I feel made fun of by it, so I will be equally as cynical and cruel to the world. I am the victim and need to be saved, someone please show me purpose and light. I will heal: by loving unconditionally through and through. Only by opening up and giving yourself the chance to be one again with the world you will feel love and light. The endless, devilish cycle of darkness will end, you will shine brighter than ever before.

okay so,
I thought I’d share my partner and I’s living space, because it is… definitely something. let me break it down for you astrologically speaking, since that’s why I’m sharing it in the first place.
I’m a Sagittarius Sun & Rising, my partner is an Aquarius Sun/Scorpio Rising. I’ve got a Cancer Moon, so I tend to hold onto things of sentimental value and everything is all about what carries meaning for me – he is a Libra Moon who also has a Pisces Venus – so everything of sentimental value I would say is considered beautiful to him, and he takes great care in displaying that beauty – down to the very last detail. like. Is this not the epitome of Sagittarius/Aquarius eclecticism???
Anyway. The first photo is of our shared altar. Second photo is just.. more stuff in front of the altar, during one of the nights I was pulling everything out in a fit of creativity.
Oh yeah, we also have a composite stellium in the 2nd House. Hah.

Sun square Saturn
Change is good, change is inevitable, what needs to change in order to grow, what do you need to detach from and let go in order for space to be created for something new, look forward because the future is bright and it’s meant for you, stop being pessimistic, start being realistic, let go of judgement of yourself and of others, walk into the doors of opportunities and stop shutting them on purpose because you’re afraid of something being too good to be true, you are deserving, think outside the box, don’t be afraid to step out of your circle, stick to the status quo (?) haven’t heard of her since High school

$4 Tarot Readings!!
Hey y’all,
just to let you know: I’m open for tarot readings in addition to astrology readings.
if you’re interested, please click here
this is the ‘storefront’ if you will for my sister Torie and I’s joint astrology/divination business – between us we have like 18+ years of experience in astrology, as well as the other usual divining arts.
The deck I use is the Thoth tarot deck*. My method is intuitive, so there is no set spread here – the number of cards chosen are also intuitively based. This is mostly because I am, for the most part, testing the waters to see how I might want to continue doing this in the future, etc.
so. if you would like to support two native/indig. makah/Qʷidiččaʔa·tx̌ sisters please buy a reading or better yet, please reblog this post and spread the word!!
& if you have any questions at all, go ahead and message me on here, or email us at [email protected]
*disclaimer: while I personally do not like aleister crowley for many reasons, I do utilize his deck. if this makes you uncomfortable, let me know and we can figure out a solution.

when we all fall asleep, where do we go?
billie eilish’s “bury a friend” is… so scorpio, but also neptunian in many ways. which is interesting, because she (like me) is a sagittarius sun – we’re known for joviality, optimism, etc whereas most of her music takes on a very macabre vibe.
of course, I did some research. lately, i’ve been pretty fixated on house rulerships. for example, ‘so and so’s x house is under the sign of sagittarius, which rules jupiter – and  jupiter is in y house.’
it turns out that Billie’s 5th house (the house of our creativity & hobbies & so forth) is under the sign of cancer. Billie’s moon (ruled by cancer) sits in her 12th house in aquarius. for those unaware, the 12th house is ruled by neptune/pisces and is all about what is feared, what becomes our ‘undoing,’ things that develop in our subconscious/in the shadows. it is also representative of hidden enemies.
so, what she creates is always going to be very 12th house worthy. “bury a friend” is all about the 12th house– okay, woah wait, i’m having one of those like revelation moments as I write about this…
billie has a slight stellium in the 12th house. her moon, uranus, mars, and lilith as well. so, she knows the 12th house pretty well. like, this song is on point even down to where she is asking questions like “what do you want from me?” “what are you wondering?” “what do you know?” ..and of course, the “I want to end me” (remember the 12th house is also about one’s ‘self-undoing’).
anyway I love Billie and I love this song and I love the 12th house bye

Billie’s moon (ruled by cancer) sits in her 12th house in aquarius. for those unaware, the 12th house is ruled by neptune/pisces and is all about what is feared, what becomes our ‘undoing,’ things that develop in our subconscious/in the shadows. it is also representative of hidden enemies.
so, what she creates is always going to be very 12th house worthy. “bury a friend” is all about the 12th house-- okay, woah wait, i’m having one of those like revelation moments as I write about this...
billie has a slight stellium in the 12th house. her moon, uranus, mars, and lilith as well. so, she knows the 12th house pretty well. like, this song is on point even down to where she is asking questions like “what do you want from me?” “what are you wondering?” “what do you know?” ..and of course, the “I want to end me” (remember the 12th house is also about one’s ‘self-undoing’).
anyway I love Billie and I love this song and I love the 12th house bye

BY REQUEST #7 PLUTO IN THE HOUSES
Pluto is one tiny-ass, slow-ass bitch. That little mf-er takes its sweet time to bring the most serious changes to your life. There’s a lot of confusion about this sweet baby so let’s talk about it.
First: the placement of every planet supports the placement of every other planet. That’s the thing about those celestial bodies, they don't fuck with spontaneous bitches. No planet is out there getting wild doing its own thing contradicting all the other planets. They’re a complete crew and their cycles are all linked up. We can always talk generally, but you gotta look at your Pluto placement (and any other planet) in the context of the rest of the chart.
Now: Pluto. What’s up with that bitch anyways? Pluto usually brings to mind some shit about sex, obsession, a pheonix rising from the ashes, rebirth, some tarot cards. Alright. Let go of your Scorpio complex and listen up. Pluto does have to do with transformation - but it’s a transformation that’s so intricate, so extreme, by the time you get to the end of it you’re like, “damn am I even the same person I don’t even recognize myself.” Spoiler alert: you're not the same person cause Pluto is on some generational, evolutional shit. The Pluto way is slow as fuck - any major change is the result of sustained effort over a long period of time.
A Pluto transformation is total. This isn’t some shit you can do in a day and call it good - it’s the slowest, sweetest process of the Zodiac. So naturally, it’s bigger than just you. Bitches, we’re lucky if we live long enough to see a full Uranus cycle, so forget about Pluto. This is a generational process. Yes: Pluto affects you on a personal level, and yes: you can make serious change happen during your life, but this process a slow burn. It deals with transforming deeply conditioned behaviors that go farther back (and forward) than just you and your little life.
Finally: all this is why Pluto and Scorpio and the 8th house are a little family. They’re connected because they all deal with sharing in the deepest parts of life: and it doesn't get much deeper than the behaviors, patterns and experiences that get passed between us, acted out and carried through generations.
Particulars for the party people:
PLUTO IN THE FIRST (1) conditioned issues with self-image - your whole life is a process of changing how you feel about yourself. Until you put in work to acknowledge the serious shit you’ve been through, you’re gonna battle with extreme feelings of isolation and you’ll feel unable to move forward with your life.
PLUTO IN THE SECOND (2) conditioned beliefs about success - your whole life is a process of coming to terms with your personal history and finding a way to use it as motivation. Until you put in work to acknowledge your deep-ass familial/ social/ historical conditioning, there’s gonna be underlying feelings of dissatisfaction and confusion in everything you do.
PLUTO IN THE THIRD (3) conditioned social anxiety - your whole life is a process of changing how you organize your life and relationships. Until you put in work to acknowledge your feelings of inferiority and insecurity, you’re gonna be seriously anal about your surroundings and it’s gonna be hard for you to really feel at ease when you’re out and about.
PLUTO IN THE FOURTH (4) conditioned self-suppression and isolation - your whole life is a process of developing a rock solid connection with yourself. Until you put in work to acknowledge your tendancy to repress everything about yourself and project it onto everyone else, you’re gonna struggle to genuinely engage and share creatively with others.
PLUTO IN THE FIFTH (5) conditioned struggles with self-expression - your whole life is a process of coming to terms with your social influence and power. Until you put in work to actually acknowledge the effect your actions and presence have on your environment and the people in your life, your lack of self-awareness and self-control is gonna alienate the people around you.
PLUTO IN THE SIXTH (6) conditioned issues with personal responsibility - your whole life is a process of learning how to take sensible, direct actions to improve your quality of life (emotional, physical, or mental). Until you put in work to acknowledge that you’re responsibile for yourself, your choices and your relationships, you’re gonna feel like a helpless victim of your circumstances.
PLUTO IN THE SEVENTH (7) conditioned passivity in relationships - your whole life is a process of learning how to confidently set a positive tone for your relationships. Until you put in work to acknowledge your passive-ass, unaccountable way of dealing with others, you’re going to experience tension and dissatisfaction in relationships.
PLUTO IN THE EIGHTH (8) conditioned struggles with power and connection - your whole life is a process of developing compassion and acceptance for yourself and others and finding a healthy balance in relationships. Until you put in work to acknowledge your desire for power and control, you’re going to constantly feel dissatisfied, lonely and resentful.
PLUTO IN THE NINTH (9) conditioned belief systems - your whole life is a process of finding the right mixture of beliefs and principles to structure your actions around. Until you put in work to acknowledge that you’ve allowed some whack-ass, selfish beliefs to condition your actions, you’re going to struggle to maintain your sense of self.
PLUTO IN THE TENTH (10) conditioned issues with social roles - your whole life is a process of utilizing your influence to empower others. Until you put in work to acknowledge that being responsibile for others involves showing them how to be responsibile for themselves, you’re going to make people feel dependent on you and then resent the shit out of them.
PLUTO IN THE ELEVENTH (11) conditioned social carelessness - your whole life is a process of finding an appropriate social balance. Until you put in the work to acknowledge that you can be totally unaware of your responsibilities when dealing with others, you’re going to make the people around you feel constant frustration and exasperation.
PLUTO IN THE TWELFTH (12) conditioned self-delusion - your whole life is a process of becoming aware and taking control of yourself. Until you put in work to acknowledge that you get completely caught up and swept away by the collective mood (and then lie to yourself about it), you’re going to feel like life moves too fast for you and you can’t keep up.
Don’t forget: these are life-long themes that take opportunity on opportunity to actually deal with and refine. It takes sustained effort over a long period of time for Pluto to do its job. Just stick with it and you’ll be fine.
Peace, bitches.

Planets in the 11th House: Friends
Sun in the 11th: May attract more male friends or “masculine” friends. May have competitive, attention-grabbing, and individualistic friends. Can attract generous, faithful, and passionate people. Sun in the 11th could wrap their identity around groups, friendship, organizations, and the collective.
Moon in the 11th: May attract more female friends or “feminine” friends. There is a dynamic between clingy and detached or even flaky friends, finding it hard to obtain that perfect balance with people. Can attract friends who are caring, intuitive, sensitive, creative, possibly manipulative or possessive. Emotional self can depend on the state of their friendships or placement in a group. Cares deeply for their friends.
Mercury in the 11th: Attracts all types of friends but tends to make the closest bonds or most frequent bonds with those they can talk to and make a mental connection with. Caring too much about popularity can be a negative for this placement. They may seek out companions they deem as socially savvy or intellectually showy.
Venus in the 11th: Tends to attract more female friends or “feminine” friends, but some believe Venus also attracts plenty of the “opposite sex” in friendship (alluding to individuals who likely want to be more than friends). For that last bit, is this really friendship? This is looked at as a favorable placement, typically attracting friends who are cooperative and caring. They may attract those who can compliment them. Makes one-on-one bonds quickly and see’s their friends as a partner or teammate.
Mars in the 11th: Tends to attract more male or “masculine” friends. They attract people who are passionate, energetic, confident, and ambitious. They connect with others via passion and drive. Their friendships tend to be strong and maybe intense. They like friends who can challenge them but this can lead into heated arguments and feelings that can tear a friendship apart. Friendship and rivalry can have thin lines at times. A good friendship has mutual respect and admiration, both can keep up with each other’s energy, and they aren’t afraid to call each other out or “bring it”.
Jupiter in the 11th: Similar to Mercury could attract a variety of pals. Typically loud, funny, energetic, extroverted people enter their inner circle or catch their attention. They develop closer bonds with those who share in their beliefs or vision. Jupiter usually being looked at as the “positive” or “lucky” planet also indicates joyful friendships, many times “getting lucky” with their friends or connections. Maybe this just means having good quality companions or maybe they befriend the right people at the right time.
Saturn in the 11th: May have friends who are older than them. Makes a connection with people who are mature and reliable. Could befriend those who helps them get ahead. They attract friends who they can create a long-term bond with.
Uranus in the 11th: Befriends individuals, rebels, maybe those who are taboo, loners, the eccentric. They get to know a lot of different type of people in life. Does well in a group setting but can struggle to get super close to individuals. May have many pen pals or long-distance friends. Values respect and support and learns through many interesting bonds what friendship is all about.
Neptune in the 11th: Tends to attract friends who are artistic, intuitive, sensitive, and maybe even spiritual. They may be pulled towards individuals who need their help. Can easily read their friends, understands people on a deep level. Is a very giving friend and can attract those who are compassionate.
Pluto in the 11th: Doesn’t always feel comfortable in big groups or even being part of a group or organization. Can attract the deep, artistic, and emotionally stimulating but is known more so in seeking out friends who they respect, believe in, and who they think won’t let them down. Gets attached to friends and groups. They want passion and power within the organizations they belong to.

Be careful of expecting astrology to have all the answers. While your chart can be of some guidance, it’s important to remember that you are in charge of your own life. Your chart reveals your strengths and weaknesses, but your birth chart can’t necessarily predict your destiny, because your success or failure depends on how you handle your own strengths and weaknesses.
For example, it’s very difficult to determine which placements indicate successful musicians or artists, since the zodiac presents lots of (maybe even infinite) possibilities for creative talent. If you do a quick Google search, you get hundreds of different answers to this question. But I can tell you, as someone who is trying to become a successful artist, that talent alone is not enough. You need to network and promote yourself, know business and legal practice, and have the self-discipline to develop your skills and build a portfolio of work. Most of the time, opportunities don’t just find their way to you; you create them. And as such, astrology can tell you how you create (or don’t create) your opportunities.
My birth chart may not be stereotypically “ideal” for artistic talent, but in my own ways, by honing in on my own strengths, I am using those unartistic parts of myself to my advantage. Could I apply those talents in other career fields? Absolutely! It’s totally possible for your birth chart to be fit for multiple career paths. But no longer do I wonder if my birth chart is good enough to be an artist, and no longer do I turn to my birth chart to seek confirmation on whether I made the right career choice. Because I realize that the only way to tell is to use my chart to my advantage, rather than stressing over its vague prediction of the future.

Retrograde planet(s) in the 1st house: the Ascendant sign’s manifestation will be heavily hindered/reduced. Very insecure, perhaps prone to self-hatred. Introverted. Identity and life path may change a lot. Likely more self-aware than most others with the same Rising. Tend to be very interesting to others, but don’t feel that way. Worldview is unstable & usually subjective but insightful.
Retrograde planet(s) in the 2nd house: have no idea what they’re worth until they take the time to study their personal values; before that happens, they tend not to have a solid foundation from which to operate & base their decisions/will on whims or temporary mindsets. May have many regrets because of this. Fluctuating & unconventional finances/possessions.
Retrograde planet(s) in the 3rd house: tend to be quiet, considerate, and thoughtful. May prefer to observe rather than participate. Acutely aware of flaws in mindsets/thoughts/statements, especially their own; analytical and clever. Shy, may be unwilling to share thoughts. May tend to talk in circles without getting to the point. Erratic productivity and mental activity.
Retrograde planet(s) in the 4th house: prone to withdraw, extremely introverted and introspective. Self-reliant, psychologically strained but independent nonetheless. Many intrinsic issues that they usually make an effort to work out. Family/upbringing is the source of much inner trouble. Possibly emotionally repressed, or they express emotion unconventionally.
Retrograde planet(s) in the 5th house: poor self-confidence, hate standing out. High standards for themselves. Fear not being received well so they may water themselves down or put up a facade. Self-censure is a big problem, and so is self-denial. Pleasures/enjoyment are stressful & cause inner tug-of-war so they may avoid it altogether. Prefer to experience pleasure in private.
Retrograde planet(s) in the 6th house: easily distracted and prone to procrastination. Tend to prefer working alone as it’s difficult to cooperate and collaborate. Can be lazy and unproductive. Need a lot of motivation and reward. May fall ill often. Mental health may be poor. Anxious. The part of the body associated with the planet or sign on the cusp may have many issues.
Retrograde planet(s) in the 7th house: usually able to acknowledge the parts of themselves they dislike/reject, thus they tend to be relatively self-aware. Very inhibited, may be hypocritical. Potentially the type to back out of commitments, present ultimatums, blackmail/manipulate, and “negotiate” their way through life in an unfair manner. Potentially repressive and superficial.
Retrograde planet(s) in the 8th house: particularly secretive; expression is inhibited. Tear themselves apart looking for answers to their problems; can be blind to things in their life that will help them, may ignore them on purpose out of fear, resentment, or self-contempt. Wise, insightful, extremely intuitive. Inner world is out of control so they’re excessively controlled on the outside.
Retrograde planet(s) in the 9th house: fleeing is a natural defense mechanism. Easily feels suffocated and the first instinct is to disappear from the immediate situation. Feel lost intellectually because nothing really makes sense to them or clicks; tend to have unconventional but intriguing opinions. Restless on the inside. Can’t settle on beliefs; can’t agree with anyone.
Retrograde planet(s) in the 10th house: feel lost in the world; feel as if the world has no room for them. Unsure of who they truly aspire to be, and that trickles down into their personal life, so they tend to be generally indecisive. Feel weak or inadequate. May have too many ambitions or a lack of them. Lack of belief in themselves. Limit their opportunities with underperformance.
Retrograde planet(s) in the 11th house: usually have issues making & keeping friends. Difficult to connect to in a lasting way, despite their efforts to integrate. Uncomfortable with fully “belonging” to a community, or attaching to dreams/ideals. May feel lost and disconnected, possibly excluded. Sometimes prone to withdrawal. Usually limit/filter their personality when socializing.
Retrograde planet(s) in the 12th house: generally present an image of themselves to others that differs greatly from who they are on the inside. Unsure of themselves, may be either extremely self-aware or extremely self-unaware depending on the sign/planet. Rarely seen or treated the way they should be. Painfully repressive but they can’t avoid the truth about themselves.
May apply to houses with their ruler in retrograde.
These descriptions also count for the nodal axis (if retrograde) to a lesser degree because retrogrades often relate to lessons that need to be learned in order for the native to “evolve” as a person, which is a big theme of the nodes.
