Just read the side story of LCF and I believe we can confirm that the silent d in cale henituse stands for denial. What does he mean that he does not care about his old world and he doesn't have anyone to die for there when he literally took one look at the newbies, bought them food cause it was convenient (after a BLOODBATH??!) and adopted them all?

So in the recent fan book, shoto was talking about how much his friends helped him in his journey. then they SPECIFICALLY asked him about his friendship with Katsuki. This is his answer:

PAUSE!! does this mean they live together?like roommates? Or are they neighbors? Just read chapters 710-ish (ok, SPOILER ALERT) and I want to say that the Sealed God sounds absolutely like a spiteful, toxic ex who has terrible control issue and prone to gaslight (rip Choi Han) whenever he meet God of Death.

Like - just seeing the GoD's gift is already enough to make him so enraged that he threw whatever grace he has and spilled the beans of their failed marriage (aka what he and GoD was, how unfair he was treated bla bla)

And the funniest part is that GoD gave no fucks to answer him and only sprinted towards Cale like a lost puppy as if to convince his (imagined) son that he wasn't that terrible and the little guy can trust him

Aside from Cale's slacker life, this has to be peak comedy of TCF/LCF Season 1

College teacher Lan Qiren who is always complaining about this loud, annoying and disruptive student in his class who is always half asleep on his desk and submits his assignments four seconds before the deadline.

His nephew Lan Wanji, who is in the same class, who can't believe how attracted he is to this hot mess of a man that seems to be physically incapable of not questioning every single subject they learn and makes such good points about them every time. How is it possible for a person seemingly can't dress, feed OR control himself in public be so smart? It would be less annoying if this dude at least took notes or had books, but no, he seems to be doodling on actual craft paper every time he peeks at him. Lan Wanji wants him carnally. And maybe romantically as well. He looks like a good cuddler, you know? Not that LWJ knows much about hugs and all that.

Meanwhile, there is college student, part time worker and full time single parent Wei Wuxian that is constantly running on two hours of sleep, who is working himself to the bone on his engineering degree along with Wen Qing (med student) to provide for Wen Yuan, chronically ill Wen Ning, ancient Granny and half a dozen old aunties and uncles that would (and should) have retired decades ago if they could afford it.

Now imagine the Lans' car breaking down in some speedy neighborhood after dining out, and who comes to the rescue? Just-got-out-of-work WWX, who would try his hand at the engine if they weren't shaking like crazy but assures them that his uncle four will get it going in a sec, want to follow him home so they are not in the street alone?

And so the Lans get to see this twenty years old exhausted young man get home, get immediately jumped by his toddler, and going to help with dinner while simultaneously checking over A-Yuan's homework, answering Grannie's questions about his day and helping WN with mobility exercises.

Lan Qiren becomes more forgiving. Lan Wanji falls in love and has to reconsider his own prejudices before approaching Wwx and asking him out on a study date that quickly becomes an engagement. Lan Xichen becomes besties with Granny and is there every Sunday. He and Wen Qing may fall in love. A-Yuan gets a whole new set of family members.

The car? It was actually fine. It just ran out of battery.

The funniest thing about the Sealed God is that he tried so hard to make Cale's tests are as miserable as possible. BUT not only Cale finished the test spectacularly, gains the closure that he need but also THANKED THE DAMN GOD for all the shit he went through - which according to the Sealed God in 620-621, is something he definitely doesn't want to experience it himself (and can't imagine how painful it is for Cale to just survive)

In my opinion, this is the peak of humilation. YET the sealed god decided to be indulgent, praised Cale's heart, said that he is cute AND showed him some goodwill by letting him say goodbyes.

what she means: since arriving in the world of tboah, cale has grown thinner and thinner, and takes far less care of his body as the novel goes on. though in recent chapters we are seeing him realising his feelings more (still denying them), we are also getting a closer look at the trauma that leaving behind his own world and replacing another person’s existence left in cale’s psyche. however, there is no question that kim rok soo was already deeply traumatised and most likely riddled with ptsd, and it’s at the beginning of the novel when we see it the clearest. kim rok soo wakes up in another world, in another body, and his first reaction is to take stock, size up potential threats (ron, choi han), figure out a strategy to survive, and then assimilate as much as possible. it’s the last one that speaks to his mental state the most. from the second he deduces his new identity, he almost completely stops referring to himself as kim rok soo. the rare instances when he uses his former name, it’s in the past tense, or when he needs to make use of his past for survival. it’s as if he wants to escape who he used to be. the only real information we get about kim rok soo’s life is from his flashbacks - in any other context, cale simply refers to his previous job as being ‘part of a company’, and any real interpersonal connections as his ‘coworkers’. the flashbacks themselves only happen when he is unconscious, and are likely both a symptom of his ptsd and a consequence of his recording abilities, which would only exacerbate the former. the overload of unforgettable information, and the contradiction of information he cannot retain no matter how hard he tries, has pushed him to lock down everything not essential to his immediate survival. cale as we’ve seen him is calm and collected, but he is also a man on the brink. we receive only as much information about him as is relevant, because that is all he allows himself to acknowledge. this lock down is also reflected in his emotions and actions towards those close to him. in this essay i will

As an Asian who is quite familiar with people living in the coast, I think it is safe to say that Asian tends to have much softer facial features than those that is in the Western. Regardless the gender.

In my opinion, that could mean while Cale, a Westerner - who looks nothing like Choi Han, has big cat-like eyes, sharp nose and very promient features, Kim Rok Soo probably has smaller hooded eyes that are often opened lazily, probably a smaller nose and definitely a softer cheeks if he gets to eat and sleep properly.

I might be wrong but the fact that the white star's face had bigger eyes, nose, ears, and mouth still stands (mentioned around chapter 540-542)
