I hope i can get back to normal soon. At least now that I don't suck at this game as much im progressing a little faster so the end is nigh??

Having nothing to post for the next god knows how many weeks because I've decided to cook up a webtoon and its taking forever

We have gritty 90s tech, cyborgs and men that need therapy. And of course Jack who's perfect and innocent and definitely just a bartender.

(If you're only familiar with my recent Jack and Al comics, they both originated in this game! I ended up becoming so obsessed I freed them from the dating sim and D&W lore, and I'd say Jack in this game is a slightly older and more mature version of his comics version!)

The rest of the cast is of course from Drugs & Wires, our once long running 90s cyberpunk series.

Reworking this game served as a weird bridge between my old and new comics, and a fun way to get back into making stuff after the Berlin Induced Brain Damage of 2023. It still means a lot to me and if you like romance that is a little off beat, maybe give it a go :D

Today I learned that the tag “laugh rule” refers to a rule where if you laugh you have to reblog something. Not me being on this site for years and years and thinking that people were making a joke about living under laugh rule the way you would live under, say, mob rule.

I’ve literally used the tag and been thinking to myself “ah yes, laugh rule. where humor is king and the memes you trade are the currency of empire”

Our long running Drugs & Wires server went through a bit of a revamp and is now more of a broad purpose server with a dedicated channel for the Prohibition boys 👀 so I guess I might as well plug it here. Of course, there's still gonna be a dedicated D&W channel too and not much is gonna change for the active members :)

Well, that's Comic Invasion Berlin done!

Couldn't think of a better event for re-entering the comic scene after such a long break, it was great to chat to fellow artists and my table neighbours were super nice. Hope to do it all again sometime.

Grateful to everyone who gave my new book a chance - it was quite challenging to find the audience for it at this event, and the remaining volumes of Drugs & Wires I received from @blackiochronicles definitely got more attention on Sunday so I had to keep explaining the situation with the comic over and over which did kill my morale a bit 🫠

Rebooting my entire presence has definitely hurt me in the short run, but there's no point in doing the whole comic thing if you're not into it. I have no spare energy after work to do things I'm not obsessed with so for now it is what it is.

Do you do cardistry/magic? The card manipulations Jack does while he's failing at the magic trick actually look quite accurate its very cool! (Anyway as someone who can do impressive looking card flourishes but no actual magic tricks I can relate to Jack there lmao)

Thank you! I just watched a bunch of cardistry tutorials on tiktok and made as many screenshots as I could. I'm actually incredibly clumsy but next time I get my hands on a deck of cards I'm definitely giving it a go!

I played a lot of card games growing up and everyone once in a while some kid would attempt to show off and do a riffle shuffle REALLY BADLY so it'd be great to do learn to do it properly :D
