He’s the server’s sexy pool boy and marriage counselor and he’s bad at all of his jobs and you can never tell if it’s through intentional sabotage or genuine incompetence and then you see him build the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen and log out. He’s not a himbo because he’s a genius and master manipulator but he decided a long time ago that he cares more about having abs and giant tits than proving to anyone that he’s smart. He can cry on command and make you think he’s the most helpless creature on the planet and then turn around and fire an arrow from 200 blocks away and get a headshot and kill you. And then he turns around trips over his own feet and drowns in four inches of water. I’m literally obsessed with him

what succession always did well was that it’s crudeness never felt performative or there for shock value or to illicit audience reaction or to be edgy or experimental it was because the characters actually Would fucking say that and Would fucking do that for convoluted reasons laid out to us over and over again in show like this guy isn’t going to psychosexually ironically unironically call his dad’s 65yo corporate lawyer ‘mommy’ because hes the funny one it’s because 80 years ago a four year old and a five and a half year old were speaking with their eyes in the hull of u-boat feeling from the war

Ulysses Dies at Dawn character designs!

Some notes:

I wanted the designs to not be fully human but was having a lot of trouble thinking how to implement that. With no animals in the city, could it be that the people became them? In the end it felt too much to balance, especially with all the augmentation. Let’s choose to believe that even though they look human, there’s actually something horribly alien about them that is simply not visible in these designs.

Music inspo: since blues feature heavily in this album, I figured the 1920s would be perfect. The film noir vibes also worked with this, seeing as the 20s marked a significant transition from silent film into “talkies”. Unfortunately this is an album with one female character and a lot of the iconic 20s fashion is female oriented. Hopefully I managed to make it recognizable even so.

The fashion style is meant to be a mix of 700 bce (Greek Mythology) and 1920s (film noir theme).

High Noon over Camelot character designs!

Some notes:

The only one with real actual humans! Maybe! Who knows. No one said the space station came from earth. Also, not pictured here because unfortunately we don’t have a Saxon main character aside from Mordred, who spends the majority of the show topside, but I very strongly feel that the Saxons wear gas masks. Just wanted to get that out there.

Music inspo: obviously this one is cowboys. I don’t even have to say it. I did try to be a little realistic, specifically with where their clothing comes from, so most of the armor is meant to be scrounged scrap metal. Another thing to remember is that they’re actually bikers, so it was a lot to balance.

The fashion style is meant to be a mix of 830 (King Arthur) and 1700s (western theme).
