At the peak of my map/atlas obsession as a child, I found Hobbs, NM and thought "ha, like Calvin and Hobbes". I never thought I'd end up spending any amount of time there, but I proved my young self wrong these past two months. People around here surround themselves with multiple layers of resilience, shaped by the harsh & fast changing wind and the desert sun. Even though I haven't been inspired by much while I've been here, I'd say linking back up with my family was worth it. You won't find Hobbes (or Calvin) out here though...

I really enjoy the "hatsune miku around the world" trend not only because of all the FANTASTIC art, but I think it's pretty cool getting to learn about different cultures I've never heard of before....knowledge is power!
