A long while ago I posted what the original rulers of Ledgerdomain looked like before the fall of Dagon, and now I present to her what the newest rulers and their champions look like by the time of the next gen series. With Charmcaster as the queen. she needed to rebuild the empire one way or another, and managed to gather a wonderful group of individuals to help guide the new land, and herself from time to time.

-Lady Eden Enchantment-

The leader of the House Of Rose. Lady Enchantment is of the native species of Ledgerdomain, with Charmcaster running into her during the early repairs of Ledgerdomain, spying the bug woman perfectly lacing out orders to those around her as she brought a community around to help in the repairs. Recognising her way to build bridges while giving out commanding orders that wouldn’t be questioned, Charmcaster asked for her to take the rose crown, which Enchantment was happy to take. She’s described as being a very chipper, social butterfly woman, with some military undertones to her. She loves to swing by for dinner to gossip and chitchat, and is a romantic at heart. There’s rumours going around that her champion has caught her eye, flirtatious comments sent his way when no one is looking.

-Lord Drake Galdr- The leader of the House Of Amber. Lord Galdr’s family has been in Ledgerdomain for many years, though they lost track of their lineage due to the destruction of Ledgerdomain through Dagon and Addwaitya. His bloodline is a mystery, something he still tries to study and figure out to this day. Charmcaster was introduced to him when he came forward to help with some of the lost archives they discovered, given his history of digging up old books. Seeing his intelligence and raw magical talent, Charmcaster felt he would be a fitting leader of the amber crown, regardless of who his bloodline could have been. Galdr is very scholarly, while also just enjoying a good book frequently. He also is quite into jokes and puns, cracking them out randomly, both to lighten up the mood and to perhaps distract himself from many identity questions he still has about himself. He also partakes in a lot of luxuries, especially eating. He’s brought forth a lot of festivals about food, so you better pack a plate, knife and fork whenever you visit his land.

-Lord Vale Reiki- The leader of the House Of Marigold. Lord Reiki’s bloodline is one of the younger ones within Ledgerdomain, a lot of his family still in close contact. His immediate family lived alongside the natives of Land Of Marigold, matching their way of life. Him and his champion, Mesmerism, are childhood friends, both meeting Charmcaster when they collected a small healing group to assist in the early days of the repair. Originally Mesmerism was offered the marigold crown, but she concluded that Reiki would be a better fit, while she was gunning for the champion role. Reiki is very patient, scarily so at times, able to go with the flow and pace himself with the world around him. His slow movement and views allow him to see more detail in the world, and is rather approachable. Though he is struggling between a balance of the hands off method and getting involved with his subjects every step of the way. He doesn’t like saying no.

-Lord Zephyr Sage- The leader of the House Of Jade. Lord Sage is of the native species of Ledgerdomain, Charmcaster seeking them out as she needed somehow who understood the wildlands of the Land Of Jade, especially after what Dagon did to it. She had heard tales of them keeping this grove together, and it took a bit to get an audience with them since they weren’t impressed with Charmcaster, but eventually heard her out and agreed to take on the jade crown. Sage is uptight, hard on people, and slightly snobbish. But there is a hard working spirit within them, living by honest words and often being the first to say what needs to be said. They have grown softer through the years, but they still have a sharp personality to them.

-Lady Lunar Coven- The leader of the House Of Lapis. Lady Coven was just a toddler when Dagon attacked her home, with their previous ruler, Lady Arcane, teleporting the entire main kingdom into a pocket dimension to keep safe. As the years went by, Coven grew up and became one of the few leaders that stepped up to take care of her people, along with making sure Lady Arcane was alive and well as she could be in her trapped state. She met Charmcaster and the others when they came to rescue the lost kingdom, Charmcaster reaching out to her again as she remembered how she helped them, and Coven’s people. It took some convincing but eventually Coven took on the lapis crown. Coven can come across as wary of the world, first to question things, and suggest to think things through before diving right in. She speaks quietly, and can often hear what is unspoken, especially among her subjects that might be too scared to speak. She has an eerie aura to her, at least to outsiders who don’t know her.

-Lady Twilight Oneiromancy- The leader of the House Of Orchid. Lady Oneiromancy is of the native species of Ledgerdomain, same race as Seance. She came from the village that Seance grew up in, one he would visit often, and is an old friend of his. When Charmcaster was looking for new rulers, Seance was quick to suggest her for the orchid crown, as she had done a lot to help her people, and refugees they helped protect from Addwaitya through the years. Since Seance suggested the role, Oneiromancy was happy to help, especially if this new dawn of Ledgerdomain meant her people could have a louder voice to speak with, not wanting to repeat history. Oneiromancy is a workaholic, she always has been, though he increased once she put on the crown, mostly because she both really wants to bring forth a good era for Ledgerdomain, and because there is a lot on her shoulder being the newest ruler of the orchid crown, given Dagon was the last. She knows she will never ever be like him, but he is a scary thought to have within your shadow. She’s never known a life outside of work though, and is always eager to carry more, especially if it takes a burden off of others. Thank god Charmcaster introduced her to coffee.

-Lady Prim Poppet- The leader of the House Of Lotus. Lady Poppet is also of a younger bloodline of Ledgerdomain, and she was already married with many kids by the time she met Charmcaster. Seeing the young queen struggling to keep herself together during the hard early years of the repair, Poppet felt her motherly instinct kick in as she helped convince people to trust Charmcaster’s cause, with the help of her friend and eventual champion Talisman. She had recused Talisman during Addwaitya’s attack, nursing him back to help, and he has been loyal to her ever since. Thankful for her all help, it seemed only fitting that Poppet would get the lotus crown. Poppet is a mother at heart, and not just to her kids. She has a lot of love to share, and familiar wisdom to pass on. Anytime one of the rulers or champions is sent to her kingdom to discuss a matter, she will insist that they have to stay for dinner and go home with left overs. Admittedly there are times where she forgets she has to be a leader, not a mother, with the rulings and advice she gives.

-Lord Nox Solstice- The leader of the House Of Silver. Lord Solstice is an odd one, as it is very clear his bloodline does not come from Ledgerdomain, which he has admitted too. Not much is known about his background, beyond that he was born with magic, the gift of both light and dark, and came to Ledgerdomain to understand himself and his soul, having heard of Charmcaster trying to mend the realm. He offered his services for the Land Of Sliver, knowing it was a complicated land to try and repair, holding a natural leadership aura that caught Charmcaster’s eye, offering him the silver crown after a while. He denied it at first, until Mike had a talk with him and he eventually agreed. Solstice is a gentle giant with a lot of wisdom, having clearly been through a lot that he doesn’t like to talk about. He’s very quiet, but urges people to find balance in their life and seek out their true selves. Life is precious in his eyes, perhaps one of the reasons he has the gift of both worlds in his mana. He may not have been born in Ledgerdomain, but his spirit definitely comes from there.

-Gale Clairvoyance- The champion of the House Of Rose. Clairvoyance is described by Charmcaster as having ‘cowboy sheriff’ energy, eager for a challenge and not afraid to get down in the dirt. He was an open defyer of Addwaitya during his rule, nearly getting himself killed a few times because of it, being picked up by Seance to help the innocents caught up in his dangerous ruling. It simply seemed fitting that he would end up being the champion of the land. Clairvoyance is a brawny daredevil, and ain’t afraid to stick his nose into business he believes he should know. He’ll stick up for the little guys, and put rude folks in their place. While he does do the heroics to be a good person, there is something to be said about him loving the glory he gets. In regards to the rumour between him and the Lady of the land, he’ll pretend he didn’t hear you if you ask.

-Hearth Invocation- The champion of the House Of Amber. Invocation is not much of a talker, selective in their words and when they say them. They speak with actions, something they did a lot of after Dagon’s banishment. They were young when it happened, but even in that young age they recognised the land and people needed help, wandering the lands to do odd jobs for people, staying under the radar when Addwaitya came about. Seance had seen them around though, and when he and Astral brought them up, Charmcaster found a way to track them down and reached out to them for help. Next thing anyone knew, they were suddenly a champion. Invocation is known to stare a lot, often because they are processing many ideas at once. They don’t appreciate people making a fuss out of something instead of just doing the work. They often keep moving, and just go through life, making it hard for others to know what they’re thinking half the time. Sometimes they give a sigh of annoyance to let their true feelings known.

-Wisteria Mesmerism- The champion of the House Of Marigold. Mesmerism is of the native species of Ledgerdomain, and the childhood friend of Reiki and his family. Her kind is raised in communities, ones that often drift across the Land Of Marigold. While she was offered the marigold crown, she had much more faith in Reiki for such a taste, knowing she wouldn’t be best suited for such leadership. She planned to reach for the stars and landed herself the role of champion. Mesmerism is very kind hearted, with a bubbly personality. She is eager to be there for people, and has a way of lighting up any room she is in, described as being utterly adorable and squishy, both inside and out. She can be a little ditzy at times, so used to drifting, but give her a few seconds and she’ll be aware of her surroundings again.

-Cascade Gnosis- The champion of the House Of Jade. Gnosis’s family has been in Ledgerdomain for a long time, famously known back in their original homeworld. His family helped to tend the Land Of Jade, especially after what Dagon did to it, his family doing what they could to take care of the tree of life. When Addwaitya’s magical gift came about, Gnosis’s family brought him over to Ledgerdomain to be taught, Gnosis and Addwaitya having been students under Gnosis’s grandfather. Gnosis likes to think they were friends once, but Addwaitya’s need for power and jealousy towards Gnosis eventually pushed him to turn his fellow student into a totem to keep him out of the way when stealing the Alpha Rune. Gnosis was finally freed by Charmcaster when she found his totem among Addwaitya’s things. Gnosis full of grace, being the softest soul you will ever meet, being one with the life around him. He believes in second chances, and recognizing where evil grows from in hopes of stopping it from repeating in the future. Life is a garden to him that needs to be nurtured, often checking up on not just his lord, but all the other rulers and champions. Even if it admittedly took Charmcaster a while to warm up to him, her past with Addwaitya leaving scars she had to heal from.

-Haven Astral- The champion of the House Of Lapis. Astral is of the native species of Ledgerdomain, and a long time friend of Seance. She’s been by his side for a long time, spending a lot of her life taking care of people across Ledgerdomain with him. She was rather harsh towards Charmcaster in the early days, not buying her redemption after what she did, saying many things that Charmcaster agreed with. So it was surprising when Charmcaster suggested she try out as the champion of her land, but Charmcaster knew they needed someone like Astral around. While their relationship has mellowed out, there is still a little sour spot in Astral about Charmcaster’s past. Astral is sharp with her words, and has an impulsive fire within her. She doesn’t like standing by when she knows she can help, and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. But she has a soft spot for the innocent, people weaker than her that need her aid. She knows how to guide people, and give them courage to keep moving.

-Violet Stregheria- The champion of the House Of Orchid. Stregheria is the youngest of the champions, being the hybrid daughter of two powerful sorcerers who gave their lives in an attempt to defeat Addwaitya. It seems their talents passed on, as despite being a similar age to Charmcaster, she is beaming with powerful magic that many can feel. She approached Charmcaster, wanting to help, the two having similar histories that made Charmcaster agree, eventually leading to her becoming a champion. Stregheria can be a rather anxious person, sometimes stumbling over their words as it is very clear they sometimes feel misplaced among their fellow champions due to her young age, still learning so much as she grows everyday. But within her youth lies a key aspect about her, able to relate and connect with the people of Ledgerdomain more than most, especially when it comes to loss. And ironically her more anxiety ridden moments can make her rather relatable, unintentionally so.

-Orion Talisman- The champion of the House Of Lotus. Talisman’s bloodline has been in Ledgerdomain for a while, many of them having histories in being guards or protectors of the land, Talisman being no exception. When Addwaitya appeared with the stolen Alpha Rune, Talisman was one of many who dove in right away to try and stop the monster, only to fail. His life was saved by Poppet, and has been her protector since, also a babysitter on the side. He felt it was fitting that he alone would be her champion, fighting for the role the moment she put on the crown. Talisman is very much your classic noble knight. Clean, strict, professional and so on, it is hard to phase her. Through her naturally species abilities and her own magical studies, she is constantly upgrading herself and her weapons, staying on top of her training to keep a watchful eye over her kingdom. Given how unreadable she is, she can be rather spooky to people who don’t know her. Even those that do know who don’t always know how to read her.

-Onyx Goetia- The champion of the House Of Silver. Goetia has been a trickster since the day she was born, originally using her powers for her own selfish needs, and causing chaos around her, though she never sided with Addwaitya since she never went as far as he did. Many around her pleaded with her to use her natural gift of light and dark for better things, but she never saw the reason for it, especially with the state Ledgerdomain was in. That was until she met Lord Solstice. A private conversation happened between them, not many knowing the full story, but it was enough to convince Goetia to put her talents towards a champion lifestyle. Even if she has mellowed out through the years, she is still a playful person at heart, and loves to tease people for her own amusement. A lot of people don’t like to trust her, which she thinks is fair. But she does seem to have the best intentions for Ledgerdomain now that she can see a future within it, even if she doesn’t present herself as seriously as she should. Solstice has full confidence in her though, and sometimes she doesn’t know why.

Species: Sililine Homeplanet: Marl'Dune Life-Span: 300-400 Habitat: Deserts, Tropical Regions Diet: Photosynthesis Breeding: Asexual Reproduction

Sexual Dimorphism: The Sililine are a sexless species, and thus do not have gender dimorphism. They start off as a small cluster of glass shards before growing more pieces over the years, their colours determined by the colour of the sun throughout their growing years.

Behaviour/Bio: On Marl’Dune, there lives three species. The Sililine, Limeia and Tezca'roni. The planet is primarily deserts surrounded by oceans, the edges being tropical regions. Most rain happens within the ocean, while the majority of storms that make it to the land are dry thunderstorms, patches of glass created by the lightning scattered around. The Sililine in their history have often stuck to living far into the driest parts of the desert, but in modern times they have bridged a connection with the other two species on their homeworld to create an advanced civilization.

The Sililine can not speak or make any natural sounds, and thus they often use a form of writing and drawing to communicate with, many of their structures covered head to toe in stories or quotes for people to read. They’re considered the most quiet of the three, many members of the Sililine able to wander off for days to a hermit-like manner to think and process before coming home. It’s also very easy for them to sense a disturbance faster than most.

Marl’Dune’s sun shifts in colours after a couple of years, giving the homeworld residence quite the calendar to follow. The order of colours is pink, purple, orange, green, yellow, blue and red. A Sililine’s glass starts off as pure transparent when first born, but will be quickly tinted by whatever sun colour they are born under. As the years go by as they grow up, their glass will conunite to be tinted by the sun, a Sililine gaining up to two to four colours depending the time frame of their birth to late-teen years, all based on the cycle of the sun. Those born off world will end up being affected by any other suns they encounter on other worlds.

Sililine do not raise their children one on one, instead once a child hatches they join the entire community they were born into, being raised by the village essentially. Family is not really a word in their culture, but they are group focused in how they raise one another.

Abilities:

Glass Body - Their entire biology appears to be made out of a glass substance. The material is more sturdy compared to your everyday glass window, though isn’t supernaturally durabile either. It’s incredibly sharp though, and can easily stab or provide nasty cuts to their foes.

Levitation - Their movement is described like being a flying snake, slithering around in the air. Their normal pace is decent and mesmerising, but they are able to bolt themselves with great speed in a second, cutting through the air with ease.

Regeneration - They can rebuild themselves in an instant, meaning they take no issue in constantly breaking or firing pieces themselves when in danger. They have a limit to how many shards their body grows/has and can’t go over it.

Light Reflecting/Absorbing - They are able to consume light that beams their way, or reflect it back. If they concentrate they can also narrow the reflection to burn something in a similar way one does with a magnifying glass and the sun. It also means that they can’t be blinded by light.

Heat Resistance - Given their environment, they have a natural resistance towards high heat, every fine around most forms of fire. There is an obvious limit, in that they can’t go dipping into lava, but it’s still a natural feat to be noted.

Weaknesses: Because they can’t over generate their glass, if you find a way to contain all their pieces, like putting them in cement, you can catch one and keep it in place. While they have regeneration on their side, they are still a brittle species that can be overwhelmed if damaged enough times or caught off guard. Finding a way to destroy every piece at once in a state that can’t be fixed will kill them. Being unable to speak/make natural sounds can cause communication issues.

Over in the Ink Tank server they are hosting an art challenge event to take aliens from other pieces of media, cross them over, but redesign them to fit the Ben 10 world. Mostly human looking aliens and making them look less human lol.

But in my case I decided to join as I needed a break from my usual slew of art, and ended up designing Ben a Dinaurian transformation. The Dinaurians are aliens from my childhood game Fossil Fighters. And in honor of the game I also dubbed the transformation Fossil Fighter, since it sounds like a killer superhero nickname!🦕🦖

Species: Audent Homeplanet: Strician Life-Span: 70-80 Habitat: Underground, Caves Diet: Omnivore Breeding: Sexual Reproduction

Sexual Dimorphism: Females are smaller in size with a much shorter tail length. Males are bigger in size with a much longer tail length. Children are born with their tail lengths, while sizing is inconsistent until they reach their teenage years.

Behaviour/Bio: The Audent evolved alongside the Acronycobticeō, owl people who were once their natural predators. They are no longer hunted for food, but neither race gets along, with the Audent constantly pestering them and pressing their luck as a sort of act of revenge for their ancestors. This has led to them ruling the underground world, with the Acronycobticeō ruling the skies.

Because of their life within caves, they’re a species that collects a lot of natural elements to work with, down in the dirt and sometimes admitally a little uncaring towards how they smell or appear, acting like little gremlins with a lot of energy to spend. Their homes and cities are built upon long maze-like tunnels they create, able to navigate with ease thanks mostly to their sense of hearing. Because sound is such a big element of their lives, they have built their culture around it. Ranging from having loud festivals with many different instruments they have invented, to hearing the heart beats of their babies the moment they are born. Sound is their way of life, it is what builds the universe for them, leading to words meaning a lot to them. Despite their rough lifestyle and sometimes poor manners, people have described them as being more poetic than you’d think. They know how heavy one’s voice can mean for them. Many groups do a lot of trading with other planets and alien species, and are quite fond of building connections even if they don’t understand the idea of personal space sometimes, often eavesdropping on conversations they shouldn’t be a part of since many things don’t slide past these critters. This also means it can be easy to cross or upset them if you mutter something under your breath. Words of advice, keep your opinions to yourself when around an Audent.

Abilities:

Parabolic Hearing - Their special feature is being able to selectively choose what they want to listen to around them. If they’re in a crowded street, they can pick out what conversation they want to listen to and drown out everyone else. If they’re walking through a forest with many birds singing, they can isolate the song they want to only hear and ignore every other bird. No matter how loud or chaotic a location may be, they can choose what they want to hear. Though sometimes it can take a second to figure out what they want to listen to depending how crowded a location is. Long Range Hearing - Their hearing can reach a long distance compared to humans, able to overhear a voice from even a few streets away and try and focus on it. They are limited to how far they can hear, but it is very hard to sneak up on something that can hear you coming before you even see each other. Protected Hearing - Unlike what most would think, massively loud and shocking sounds will not damage their hearing, as their body will automatically respond if something is about to reach dangerous levels of volume and automatically shut off their hearing temporarily to protect their ear drums. The fur within their ears as well helps with cushioning sound. They can also consciously turn off their hearing by choice, more often than not to ignore annoying people. Leaping - Their powerful legs allow them to leap and bound high and long jumps, catching themselves with ease and able to run on all fours at a decent speed. They’re not exactly flexible with their bodies, and they can’t run long distances for long due to the weight of their fur, but they can zig zag out of a situation relatively quickly. Heightened Sense Of Smell - While they primarily rely on their sense of hearing, their sense of smell is still pretty good, mostly to figure out where the food is with ease. Vibration Sensing - When sensing sound, it is also important to understand the vibrations that come with it and the movement it causes, thus the Audent are good at getting low to the ground and using vibrations to judge the actions of others or the world around them. Combining this with their hearing makes them very reactive. Biting - Their jaws are surprisingly strong, with many rows of tiny sharp teeth that dig teeth or pull skin in a horrible way.

Weaknesses: As a trade for their ears and way of life underground, their eyesight is really bad, not pitch black but so incredibly blurry that there is no point in cutting the fur over their eyes, doing so even helps with some light sensitivity issues they have. They are not good swimmers due to their short limbs, round body and thick fur that gets easily drenched, they prefer dust baths over water baths. They do not do well in hot environments, used to a cold and wet cave life, and their fur is easily flammable. While not as weak as a stick, they’re not exactly heavy hitters, and can’t throw a great punch. Damaging their hearing can leave them essentially blind, and there are ways to make it permanent.
