Since peeps have been enjoying the video, I thought I'd post Lily's reference image!💜 I wanted her to be Bill's opposite and not in the personality department (even though she is much nicer than Bill, lmao). While Bill represents the mind and knowledge, Lily represents the body and change. She's a shapeshifter, able to turn into any form or design she wanted, along with mimicking things around her. Her adaptable nature means that, unlike her brother, she is able to seemingly live in any world with ease, including earth. When she allowed Bill into her mind, the pair becoming one, they became an unstoppable duo that could balance out each other's weaknesses and strengths. Of course now, Lily has moved away from her brother and resides on earth. She's become partners in crime with Stan, helping him in trying to get his brother back. Species: Melazer Homeplanet: Kufr-Kehuas Life-Span: 300-500 Habitat: Deep Ocean, Abyss Pits Diet: Carnivore, Piscivore Breeding: Sexual Reproduction

Sexual Dimorphism: Male and females look relatively the same, the species coming in different shapes and sizes, along with patterns. But females do have whiskers on their faces, ranging from having only 2-6.

Children are born with whiskers or not, so telling them apart is easy enough. Children are also pitch black in colour before growing into their patterns.

Behaviour/Bio: The planet known as Kufr-Kehuas has a long dramatic history with its evolution. It used to be a flourished planet with growing life across its many lands, a few primitive cultures growing into place. That was until a massive asteroid struck the planet, which was later labeled as “Ptalono III”, destroying most of the surface, killing off most life that wasn’t deep within the waters of their oceans. Even after all this time, the surface of Kufr-Kehuas is inhabitable to most. Smoggy, hot, lack of clean oxygen, only the most adapted of creatures could live there.

Most of the ocean has healed and is where most of Kufr-Kehuas’s life exists, though far down was still affected by the asteroid, massive cracks that leak out a cycle of oil and tar substances, making the lower levels of the ocean dark and murky. This is where the Melazer evolved, bouncing between the deep inky abyss and the vivid ocean, living through both parts of the ocean they call home.

The Kufr-Kehuas are part of the Plumber unification, having made contact with them when a massive Plumber ship crash landed on their planet. Unable to go on land, the local Melazer helped bring the ship down in the water safely before any of the Plumber agents could be cooked up. Leading to eventual negotiations and access to the galaxy stage. And now many years later, the Melazer are thriving in space life.

Melazer are natural born hunters due to their harsh environment, as even the sea life unaffected by the surface destruction had to become tough to survive. Melazer adapt, are very resourceful, and make do with what they have around them. They’re quite crafty fellows, processing thoughts and ideas very quickly, and can be known to be rather stubborn, especially if their first plan doesn’t work. Many of them live off experience as the main source of teaching, even to their kids, and aren’t the coddling type.

Abilities:

Ink Blast (Males Only) - Males shoot out a thick ink substance that is incredibly sticky, even under water. Used to trap, once you’re caught in the stuff you can’t get out. The ink doesn’t harm Melazer, who’s smooth and slimy body is naturally built to not get attached to the stuff. It’s also found to be incredibly flammable.

Ink Spray (Females Only) - Females shoot out a more gaseous ink cloud, like a thick smog that can disorientate you and slow your movement, painting you in black patches that weigh you down. It’s also impossible to see through it, vision painted black, especially if you get it in your eyes.

Swimming - Born in the world of the sea, Melazer are most at home when they are in the water, or other liquids given they’re adapted to live in an oil like environment as well. Their tendrils, arms and hands make them quick swimmers, sometimes using their shots to jolt forward.

Tendrils/Suction Cups - Their tendrils have very strong grips, helped by the many small suction cups they have along them that are hard to see, allowing them to grasp and stick to most surfaces, holding onto prey or people as well. This can leave a mark too depending how long they hold onto someone.

Night Vision - Living deep within the ocean has allowed them to see through the darkest of areas, even through what looks like nothing but pitch black to others. Their eye sight is very sharp, able to notice the smallest of details, allowing them to act quickly.

Protective Lids - They have a secondary lid that constantly covers their eyes, protecting them from their own sprays, blood or other liquids, unsafe bright lights, and even a brief poke from someone else.

Quick Thought Process - While they don’t have super intelligence like that of the galvans, their thinking process is very speedy, along with being able to visualise ideas right in front of them. It does lead to some impulsive moments, but it means they can act quickly without a second thought.

Flexible - Melazer do not have bones, just a powerful muscle build, meaning they can bend, twist and flex themselves without worry of breaking anything, and squish themselves through right corners. The rule goes that if their beak can fit, then the rest of them can too.

Shell - Upon their backs is a shell that can unfold and curl around them, hiding within them like a pocket. The shell is incredibly sturdy, tank like, and can protect their squishy bodies from unwanted touch and attacks.

Pollution Tolerance - Because of the state of their homeworld, it means they are often unfazed by climates or conditions that aren’t exactly the healthiest, able to swim through oil spills or smog filled air without a second thought.

Disease Tolerance - Also because of the state of their homeworld, and the creatures they fed upon as part of their natural diet, they have evolved to have a high tolerance towards diseases, illnesses and viruses. They are still capable of getting sick, but it’s uncommon and they can recover fast.

Regeneration - While not instantaneous, Melazer can regrow limbs and even organs when given enough time and water to soak in. It takes a lot of energy too, but it’s worth it to get one of your two hearts back.

Weaknesses: Dry and incredibly hot environments can dry them out quickly, especially when fire is around, as their ink does not play well with it. Their shell is one of the few things that can not entirely regenerate properly if damaged too much, some chips and dents not able to be healed over. Their thought process can cause overthinking, and there are methods of tripping them up through this. If enough attacks are done, their regeneration can not keep up. Blocking or covering up their holes can prevent them from attacking. Without tech assistance, Melazer can’t breath on land for long, the most average timeframe being half an hour.

Presenting the next serene form with XLR8, now called Merry-Go-Round 🦜

Far greater in size, Merry-Go-Round has an inbuilt seating system along it's back, with a suction cup like method that keeps riders in place, within a protective sturdy pod to keep one safe from the harsh elements during travel, even able to adjust the temperature. Due to the sizing and build, Merry-Go-Round is a smidge slower than her base form, but still a champion at speed.

Equipped with wings and silky smooth feathers, they can now take flight, even able to glide through space. Unlike a normal kineceleran, she can go days without eating or drinking, leading to peaceful flights on long journeys. While their long limbed body is bigger in size, fighting isn't a natural strong suit with how they bend and twist, but their defense is higher than you think, able to take damage if it means protecting their nest of passengers.

Skills: Etherea’Liss has the gene that allows her to remove her top layer of skin to reveal a stronger yet more twisted form. Zero Gravity Movement. Darkness Empowerment. Intangibility Extension. When she possesses another being, she can try and read their memories/soul and learn knowledge through them. She can also affect the host in certain ways, like changing or settling their emotions, keeping them from dying by using her or their powers to slow down the death rate, and share her own memories. Weakness/Flaws/Fears: Fire and radiation can harm her badly, but once she loses her top layer, they become stronger weaknesses, along with light. Certain chemicals and energies can solidify her protoplasm, thus negating their intangibility and invisibility. Some of her abilities she hesitates to use or straight-up dislike using, concerned with how people around her will view her. She can be naive about certain cultural situations because of her isolation in the Anur System growing up. Despite her eager nature to help people, she’s often shunned or rejected because of what she is. She’s not on great terms with her family, due to them not wanting her to be a plumber. She has an intense fear of failure, but also scared of losing her sanity, having had certain nightmares growing up. Much like all Ectonurites, she’s terrified of Alewhisht. It’s much easier to remove her skin from the inside, which only she can really do, but it is possible from someone outside to remove the skin, especially another Ectonurite.

Since you’ve talked about a Ben 10 rewrite before, how do you go about writing down your outline for the rewrite?

For my rewrites, not just Ben 10 but a load of other fandoms, I always write them down as outlines episode by episode.

I basically make a google doc for an arc during the series, and then use bullet points to list out the major/noteworthy parts of the story in order. Doing episode by episode would take too long and I know I would have to constantly switch things around, so focusing on the more important details first is the way I do it. Example of what it would look like:

-Artollo Arc-

Ben, Gwen and Max arrive in Bellwood, ready for the summer festival.

While at home, getting ready for the festival, Ben and his parents have a disagreement regarding him using the watch, commenting he should appreciate his human life more. Ben brushes them off before going off with Gwen and Max to the festival, instead of with Sandra and Carl, needing space.

When the festival is in full swing, the lights and loud music awaken something under bellwood. And so on and so forth. Basically noting anything major, the emotions of the current situations, what the character's main arc in the story is about, and so on. I do this for the rewrite, general stories, next gen series, and original stories. It can be very easy to get caught up in the finer details before you've even got the full story planned out. Breaking it down piece by piece helps me focus and know how to move from one story beat to another.

Species: Nozling Homeplanet: Ver'Hey Life-Span: 200-210 Habitat: Lakes, Rivers, Flat Land Diet: Insectivore, Herbivore Breeding: Sexual Reproduction Sexual Dimorphism: The species can come in diverse shades of blues, purples, greens and yellows, along with different patterns and body shaping. But the one constant is that females have two bumps on their heads, while males only have one.

Children’s genders are determined when they are still in the egg, with eggs that have incubated in warmer temperatures being born female, and eggs that have incubated in colder temperatures being born male. Behaviour/Bio: The nozlings come from a strikingly crystal clean planet, literally. The majority of their water, including their oceans, are made up of fresh water, with chunks of crystals clustering the land. Their planet is rich with minerals that they’ve used in advance their tech levels with. Despite some early conflicts within the species, Ver’Hey is considered a charming, peaceful planet, and great for relaxing vacations or spa trips. Those who have crash landed on the planet by mistake are given a five class stay before their vehicle is repaired.

The nozlings are peaceful aliens, and prefer to stay out of conflict, following a lot of religions and paths related to being zen, one with the mind, and having a safe space, many having gardens they share their water with. They do have the itch to clean everything they see though, not used to filthy environments and hate getting dirty themselves, given what it does to their skin. Purposely dirtying them or their home is considered a crime on their homeworld.

Quite a few nozlings had found jobs across the galaxy, so it’s not uncommon to find one. Whether that being an engineer on a large station, or running the best car wash on Khoros. Whatever you need them for, it’s rather easy to hire one for the job, as long as it’s not too filthy.

Nozlings can have a large number of children, with one pair of parents able to produce anywhere between 20-70 kids in one batch of eggs. Children are born in a tadpole state before growing their legs and other tails, with the first tale they are born with said to represent the kind of personality they’ll have. Despite the number of kids, it is common for parents to raise them alone until they gain their legs, and then they’ll accept outside help. Abilities:

Multi-Hose Tails - Majority of the species has five tails that they use to spray water out of, which each tail end able to spray the water in a different way. Fan spray, mist spray, normal spray, jet spray and rain spray.

Water Generation - The nozlings are able to produce a large amount of water within their body, primarily used for their hose tails. There are multiple ways this is done, including absorbing the moisture around them and storing it for later, able to amplify it.

Leaping - With their springy legs, nozlings can leap high into the air, and catch themselves with little to no fall damage. This can also be used to give a harsh strike, especially with their kicks.

Slippery Skin - Their skin is constantly wet, glossy and slippery, which can be used to help through tight squeezes or get out of unwanted grips.

Throat Sac - They are able to puff up their watery throat sacs quick enough to shove people back, also used to help heighten their voices when needed.

Swimming/Water Breathing - Since the species primarily lives around the water, they are excellent swimmers, able to use their tails to shoot themselves around. They can breathe on the land and underwater for as long as they want. Weaknesses: They do not do well around fire and dry locations, and can quickly dry out if not careful, their skin losing its moisture as they struggle to regenerate their water supply. Because their skin is used to absorb moisture and help breathe, covering it in grime and dirt can be uncomfortable or dangerous if not cleaned off, also meaning infections and diseases can seep in more easily. Blockage in their tails can prevent water from flowing and cause pain. If a tail is cut off, it can not be regrown. Puncturing any part of their water system can cause pain, water drainage, and even in severe cases, death.

Species: Basilgon Homeplanet: Skosrene Life-Span: 2000-2050 Habitat: Forests, Mountains, Deserts, Tropical, Swamps Diet: Carnivorous Breeding: Parthenogenesis

Sexual Dimorphism: The Basilgon are an all female species, and thus have no gender differences. The species can come in any range of colours depending their location and cultural background. Children hatch from eggs that take a year to incubate.

Behaviour/Bio: Skosrene is a very warm planet, with very few cold patches within the world. The Basilgon populate throughout all of it, and have taken control over all the other habitable planets in their solar system, and are fiercely defensive over it. It’s only in recent years that they have been building bridges with the Plumbers, but rather solely. They view their land as holy to them, many of their cultures and magical teachings tied to the land itself, having a spiritual connection to it and thus feel like outsiders can taint what they do not understand.

Many of their cultures view roles and titles as a big thing, as they can tell you a lot about a single person, and what they contribute to the region. Many will spend years to reach as high as they can, and children born with noticeable talents will be quickly propped up to reach high at an early age. One role that has different names but is most popularly known as Lai'Nāusa is very hit or miss depending who you talk to, the title roughly translated to ‘Necrosis Witch’, as these are older individuals who have perfected their paralysing stare to even stop the hearts of their targets, effectively killing them with ease. Many of these women are followers of goddesses of death, and follow her work. The majority aren’t evil or ill meaning people, but it is an off putting ability to think about.

Despite having two heads each Basilgon is one individual, one conscious to share one body. But there are rare cases of two minds sharing one body, a conjoined twin situation, many believing this is a case of two souls put in one egg by mistake, but it’s not a very common situation that happens. When it does, these children require more time to figure out how to use their bodies to act as one.

There are quite a few noticeable queens within the species, all with different degrees of kingdom sizes, history and effectiveness. One of the most noticeable is Queen Na’Hush, who took over one of the moons circling Skosrene. She was the first to make a connection with the Plumbers, and has slowly been working with them to hopefully create a more positive system between her people and the galaxy.

Abilities:

Paralyzing Glare - A natural magic of theirs, if you make eye contact with at least one of their eyes, then you become paralyzed and unable to move. Average members of the species can only stop your movement, meaning you can still blink, talk, breathe and so on. Those who train harder can take these away too, and those who spend years or have the natural talent can push it far enough to stop one’s heart or even brain function, killing many with ease. When they activate the spell, they do not need to blink until they stop. They can choose when to activate the spell, when to turn it off, though it can also be stopped if they blink or look away.

Multi-Directional Vision - Each eye can look and move around in their own directions, meaning they can stare at multiple individuals if they’re all in the right place. With eight eyes on both heads, that means in theory they could freeze sixteen people at once.

Serpent Body - Their bodies are extremely muscular, allowing them to twist, turn and move around with ease despite how big and heavy they are. They can also coil around things, and squeeze the living daylight out of them. They can also easily climb things such as trees or poles, and are scarily fast for their size.

Double Heads - Both sets of heads come with eight eyes, a powerful pair of jaws that can lock, and hidden pincers that they mostly use to pick at their food, but can puncture with ease. They also do not care if they lose a tooth or two, since they can regenerate within a couple of weeks.

Bioluminescence - The glow coming from their sides and nostrils was designed to help trick animals and eventually other people into looking at them, or making it hard to know where their actual eyes are, especially in the dark. It can also be used in socialising as they can glow brighter or dimmer depending on their emotions.

Bioluminescence Smoke - They can puff out a strange glowing smoke from their nostrils or mouth that can temporarily light up a small area, and it doesn’t smell that great,

Horns - The style of horns is dependent on the ethnicity, but the majority of the species has horns on their forehead that can be used to bash, stab and slash with, many using them as a warning when they get aggressive or challenge one another. It’s considered a rude sign to press your horns up against another without consent.

Claws - Their razor sharp claws can slice through flesh with ease, and are perfect for carving into wood or stone. Their fingers are quite flexible, able to twist in manners that most think they shouldn’t be able to do. Weaknesses: Their size and weight can be used against them, especially in small and tight environments. Poking or throwing something into their eyes can break their glare and free people of their spell. Some individuals can’t perform spells beyond the glare. Their pincers, claws and horns can not grow back if broken off. They are poor swimmers and instead have to slither across the ground underwater. The body can not survive without both of the heads. They can not turn off the bioluminescence, and thus can be spotted in the dark. Most members of the species don’t do well in the cold. Their powers can not work on those that can't see.

Decided to finally tap into my old roots (I'm sure this will be a fun surprise for any old followers still around) and make a new MLP next gen, now that I can actually draw lol. I've been rewatching the series lately, so I got a lot of fun ideas, including rewrite and personal lore ideas. Some changes include things like Twilight being the princess of harmony instead of friendship, Grogar being the real deal and not Discord being a dumb dumb, and even Twilight not taking over the crown (at least not until many many years later). Along with my own personal lore such as how alicorns work or the background of Grogar himself! So if there is context here you don't get, feel free to ask about it. I have more characters planned, but these are some of the most major characters I have thought of! So enjoy and let me know who is your fav! 💗

Finished up Serene Greymatter, also known as Psyche 🩷

Psyche has the ability to latch onto people's head, being piggy backed by them as she connects with their minds, enhancing them with high intelligence, studying their emotions, slow down their perception to think faster, and even make old or foggy memories far more clearer. She can both mentally and physically communicate with her carrier.

The ends of her whiskers not only help with this connection, but also allow her to sense the minds of others nearby, detecting life forms, though she requires physical contact with the head to do all that she can do.
