Mod Will Be Taking a Short Break!

Hi Shadowbloggers, mod here! As the title of this post suggests, I will be taking a short break. The reason is as follow: Mod is running out of contents to post. Yes, after weeks of giving this blog a weekly update, I actually ran outta things to post and that includes my scheduled buffers too. So, this break is pretty much needed for me to plan out more exciting contents for you guys and for keeping myself away from burning out just to rush for an update.

I hope you guys understand as scripting, storyboarding, drawing, colouring and typesetting an update for this blog is all done by me alone and they all take time on top of my 9 to 5 job lmaoo.

I promise I'll be back in a few weeks! For now, have a sneak peak of the final part of the Shadowbolt's Babysitting Shenanigans that I'm still working on. It'll be around 8 pages long (hoo boy... *sweats)!

Shadowblog 69 - Day Out With Nanny Lemon (Day 6 of Babysitting...but not the final part yet!)

Sunny Flare: You seem to enjoy babysitting, dearie....but how?!

Indigo Zap: Lemon's got the same energy as a child so that's how.

Lemon Zest: Yeah! I'm great with kids because I'm still a kid in my heart! You gotta stay young for as long as you can, ya know? Life's too short to me moody all the time.

Sour Sweet: Man, we should have just hand baby Twilight to Lemon from the start and get her to do all the work. At least then we don't have to go around chasing this kid just to stop her from tearing reality apart again.

Sugarcoat: Sour, you stomped off the other day and went to look for Sunset, right? So, what's the solution? Did she and the princess come up with a spell that could turn Twilight back to normal?

Sour Sweet: No. All she said was she knows someone else other than the princess who could help because according to her, the princess is busy with some world threatening problems.

Sour Sweet: Also, I'm tired. So, I have decided to give my full trust to Sunset and her mysterious helper to fix everything.

Sugarcoat: Okay.

Sugarcoat: (thinking) For some reason... I doubt the princess is busy. My gut tells me that she has been horsing around this whole time...but I can't be sure either....

Thank you for the gift! I actually read this before working on the storyboard for Shadowblog 66. It's a fun fic to read while I unwind after a long day or work hehe. Shadowblog 68 - Everything's fine! (Day 5 of Babysitting!)

Lemon Zest: Dude, none of you seem fine at all. Why is Twilight TAPED to the wall-

Indigo Zap: And why is your house ON FIRE?!

Sugarcoat: I was baking, and she tried to put herself into the oven. So I've decided that the best way to keep her from cooking herself alive is to make sure she can't go anywhere. So, I taped her to the wall.

Sunny Flare: Seriously? I won't be surprised if anyone found out and called the cops on you, dearie. That is no way to treat a child!

Indigo Zap: Yeah! You could have just let her stay in your study room. There are enough dictionaries and encyclopedias in there to rival the internet. I'm sure she could spend hours in there reading.

Sugarcoat: ....

Lemon Zest: ....

Sunny Flare: ....

Sugarcoat: Huh...Why didn't I think of that?

Sunny Flare: I can't believe a day would come where Indigo actually outsmarts you.

Lemon Zest: Yeah dude, and Indigo's like...the biggest idiot I know.

Indigo Zap: Hey! Who are you callin' an idiot?!

Lemon Zest: You, of course. You're my idiot, hehe.

Shadowblog 67 - No princess? No problem! Sunset's got a solution! (Still Day 4 of Babysitting!) Sour Sweet: Believe me, I've tried getting Sunset to get her girlfriend's twin to come over but apparently, she's busy!

Sour Sweet: *sigh* Whatever. I just hope whoever Sunset's about to ask won't cause us any more trouble. That's honestly the last thing we need right now...

Sour Sweet: Though, I do wonder sometimes... What's Princess Twilight up to that she can't drop by for a bit to visit her friends?

Sugarcoat: It's okay. I made extra. I knew this would happen.

Pinkie Pie: (gasp loudly then hugs Sugarcoat) Sugarcoat you're the best!!!

Indigo Zap: So, um, who’s going to stop Lil Twilight from opening portals to other dimensions and causing a rampage?

Sunny Flare: Not me,dearie. I need to…catch up…on…. some…sleep…(snores).

Indigo Zap: (sigh) I guess it’s just us, Lemon, Sugarcoat.

Lemon Zest: YEAH! WE’RE GONNA ROCK THIS BABY TO SLEEP!!!!

Sour Sweet: I'm sorry! I have this urgent thing to deal with, and you live nearby-

Sugarcoat: You're lying. You're just tired of babysitting.

Sour Sweet: Shut it, Sugar!

Sunny Flare: It's fine, it's fine! Today's the last day after all. Twilight will be back to normal by midnight and we can all live happily ever after again! I can handle this, dearie.

Sunny Flare: I'll just get my maid to clean up this mess for me.

Lemon Zest: Dude, you have a maid? I want one too! I'm tired of doing chores!

Indigo Zap: Me too. But what can we do? We aren't as loaded as Miss Fancy here.

Sugarcoat: I think we'll all be fine financially except for Lemon. Lemon spends like her money grow on trees.

Lemon Zest: I do not.

Sugarcoat: Do too.

Lemon Zest: Ooooh, so THAT's why Twilight was chasing you all over the mall...

Sugarcoat: You must be a terrible friend to forget that Twilight absolutely HATES quesadillas after all these years of knowing her.

Indigo Zap: I thought I could re-introduce her to one of the best foods in the world now that she's a baby again! I guess that didn't work out.

Sugarcoat: Of course it didn't work out. And didn't you say that wasn't intentional?

Indigo Zap: I, uh...

Sunny Flare: The past is in the past. It seems like taking care of Baby Twilight won't be so easy after all, dearie.

Sunny Flare: I sure hope Sour Sweet could handle her.

Meanwhile at the park....

Sour Sweet: (sweetly) Baby Twilight is SUCH a quick learner! It's no wonder she's as smart as Einstein when she's all grown up!

Sour Sweet: (sourly) Though it would be smarter for her to filter out what that giant brain of hers should and shouldn't absorb....

Lemon Zest: Dude, what happened? Don’t tell me you tried to set her on fire.

Sunny Flare: Oh, please, dearie. She’s already setting herself on fire by turning into Midnight Sparkle.

Sugarcoat: Did you say ‘no’ when she asked to buy a dictionary?

Sour Sweet: Because that’s toooootally the right thing to do! ~<3

Indigo Zap: Everyone shut up and take the baby away from me!

Lemon Zest: Nu-uh, I don’t want it.

Sunny Flare: Me neither.

Sugarcoat: Nope.

Indigo Zap: (shoves Baby Twilight into Sour Sweet’s arms) Here, Sour, this is revenge for making me take Day 1!

Sour Sweet: What—?

(Sour Sweet looked around to see that the other Shadowbolts had ditched her, leaving her alone with the baby in her arms.)

Sour Sweet: Hey! Where did everybody go?! Come back!!!

Lemon Zest: So what do we do with baby Twilight? 

Sunny Flare: Why, isn't it obvious? We have to babysit her, of course. It's only for 3 days, I'm sure we can manage. 

Indigo Zap: Yeah. We survived Sour Sweet the last time she was turned into a baby. So I'm 101% sure we got this!

Sour Sweet: Great! That's the spirit! You're great at motivating people, Indigo. It's no wonder you're the team captain of every sports team during our CPA days~<3

Indigo Zap: Thanks. I'm awesome. 

Sour Sweet: With that said…you'll be taking Day 1! (shoves Baby Twilight into Indigo’s arms)

What's up Shadowbloggers! Mod here! How are ya'll doing? I am SO back! I hope you guys enjoyed this little update (despite the fandom has long passed its golden era, but you know...I still miss it). I have a few more posts after this one that follows the shenanigans of the the Shadowbolts babysitting and I can't wait to share them with you guys!

Honestly, I never thought I'd be posting here again due to how life has been kicking me in the butt. It is what it is I suppose. Thanks to the continued support of everyone here, I found the motivation to continue posting here again (the thing I look most forward to actually) as well as working on some original projects myself!

Now, I don't want to make this part of the post too long so I'm just gonna end it by saying this: feel free to drop some questions for the Shadowbolts and I'll see to it that they answer them (tho not all of course)!

Lemon Zest: Dude, that was just a simple question. Is it so hard to answer it like a normal person?

Sunny Flare: Sour Sweet switching between two faces is nothing out of the ordinary. I thought you of all people should have already known that by now.

Lemon Zest: Yeah, well...

Indigo Zap: Say, why is Sugarcoat so quiet? This question was kinda for her too ain't it?

Sugarcoat: Why should we answer the question twice when we're going to give the same answer anyway? I have no objections with Sour Sweet claiming to be our leader.

Sugarcoat: Why? Because I can't see myself leading the group. I'm not very good with people. Unless you like someone who constantly points out your faults as your leader then I'm definitely not qualified.

Sugarcoat: Besides, I think Sour Sweet has been doing a decent job since highschool. If it weren't for her, we wouldn't have worked together to help rescue those students from falling into rifts during Midnight Sparkle's rampage at the Friendship Games. If I were leading back then, I think I would have just not give a damn.

Indigo/Lemon/Sunny: ...

Lemon: I...think I lost you at answering the question twice.

Sunny Flare: You almost always never catch up, Lemon. With you and your...noise coming from those headphones.

(Looks around) Is this fandom still alive? Whatever the answer may be, I've decided to update this blog again! Because I missed drawing these girls and I definitely miss sharing the fun with you guys, hehe. However, I've been quite busy with college stuff myself so I won't guarantee a frequent update. This blog will be active but I'll update it at a slower pace unlike 16 year old me who updates the blog almost everyday.

Well, I don't have much to say for now. It's really been quite some time since I logged into this site. For now, have this announcement and this drawing of Lemon and Indigo as I cook up a story to be posted soon (hold your horses cuz it'll be a surprise). Until then fellow Shadowbloggers! See ya!
