I don't know about you guys, but I really want an age difference au with obsessive church boy Jack and a Ralph is a few years younger than him but it's still legal.

If you have any ideas about this, you can scream in my replies, asks and messages.

no but listen, ralph is the typical casual high-school boy, wearing ripped jeans, old jean jackets, and dirty sneakers, being bright and funny and liked by everyone, playing videogames and waking up with messy hair and never brushing it, yawning and spacing out during classes, slacking most of the time, eating chips and pizza with his mouth open and always being scolded by his best friend piggy for doing it, so no one would ever ever imagine he would get such a serious, formal, all the time suit-wearing college boyfriend, who is also scary as f and studying law, but he does, so when his friends see them together for the first time, ralph with his bright smile and messy mop of hair and jack with his stern gaze, perfectly ironed shirt, and polished shoes, their mouths open at the contrasting sight, thinking ‘alright, not that weird that ralph is befriending such a somber bastard, I mean ralph’s friendly with everyone’

but then their jaws drop to the floor when ralph stands up to kiss jack and, well, the end of the world has not arrived yet

ok, Jalph first:

who’s the cuddler: Ralph

who makes the bed: Ralph (I have a feeling Ralph would do everything poor bby)

who wakes up first: they alternate, in weekends Ralph wakes up, but, during the week, Jack does it, Jack is obsessed with his work, so

who has the weird taste in music: Ralph probably, he is like a hippie, while Jack is more of a rocker/classic man

who is more protective: Jack is creepily possessive

 who sings in the shower: Jack, even though he doesn’t have a voice anymore and this annoys the hell out of Ralph

who cries during the movies: Ralph most of the time, but Jack cries when his favorite character dies

who spends the most while out shopping: still Ralph, I have a feeling Jack hates it

who kisses more roughly: Jack is a savage

who is more dominate: Jack is rougher and physically stronger and would hardly let Ralph dominate, but he would do it, when Ralph gets upset with him

Hi!First of all,I love your Nerd + Jock art,it's so cute!But I have to ask.. •Is Jack still a dick as a nerd? •is he friends with Roger and the other guys,and are they nerds? •how do Ralph and Jack meet? •and how do they get together?

woah I love these questions  

 my answers would be:

yes, jack is still definitely a dick as a nerd; it’s not the regular jock-nerd universe; ralph is a nice, amiable jock and he’s not actually the bulky, brawny one, he grows to be more slender and elegant-like; surprisingly jack grows to be more brawny than him despite being nerd (because jack’s also into sports, particularly violent ones, surprise surprise), but jack’s more into music and reading, than sports, sports are more like a side-hobby to him 

yes, jack is still friends with roger and the other guys, because roger and the other guys are also music nerds :))

jack and ralph are in the same school??

I still haven’t thought of it yet? my story would be that jack’s forth hobby is bugging ralph so ralph would often think about him heheh; jack likes ralph by default, because ralph is cute, golden boy who has many qualities and is bright as a spot of sunshine, and jack loves this difference between them (jack is grimmer and more serious, with a touch of asshole jokester at times, ralph is more carefree and more pleasant as a person). ralph eventually comes to like jack too because jack occasionally shows his better side around ralph

MORE  NERD + JOCK

So I picked this thing up while revising for my exam in a few weeks time.I found this quote on one of the last pages:

“A little boy who wore the remains of extraordinary black cap on his red hair and who carried the remains of a pair of spectacles at his waist, started forward, then changed his mind and stood still.”

My personal interpretation is that the “little boy” is just Jack Merridew from the Officers perspective as he has no authority and power to the Officer - he’s just a boy. This is backed up by the “red hair” which Jack has, and the “extraordinary black cap” which is the remains of the civilized person he was before. And the glasses part doesn’t really need to be explained… 

But the end bit its like “he changed his mind,” so like, he goes to say something and tries and make his point but then realizes he has no power against the Officer.

What do you guys think?

I know the fandom has a tendency to depict ralph as being the more serious one because of how fed up he was with jack at certain parts of the book, but for some reason, I absolutely love when I see jack being portrayed as the serious one, because that’s how I felt he was. 

jack had an inclination to be a total asshole and he expressed that through humour on occasions, but jack was also very serious and harsh and strict with himself and people around, and you could see that in his interactions with the boys.

you could see how ralph was so much more yielding and how he backed away in confrontations and challenging situations, while jack pushed himself to extremes until he got what he wanted. you could see how ralph was much more laid back right from the beginning - while jack was grim and vicious, set only on leading and always reaching a goal, ralph was perkier and livelier, and he waited for the course of events to unfold, until he found himself being voted as chief. 

and that’s when he tried to do something because he knew it was a responsibility, but he still didn’t have the same determination when trying to accomplish his tasks as chief. ralph mostly wanted to go home and, surely, he did get upset because people didn’t listen to him like any other person would have got, but he was still quite accepting of the boys’ mistakes. ralph just kept dreaming of home, he didn’t care much about anything else, he didn’t have the aggressive ambition that jack possessed. 

jack was chaotic on the island, but he had the attitude of a military soldier at the same time, he was unforgiving and unrelenting and literally didn’t excuse any mistake from his followers, which is why he ordered for various boys to be beaten and whipped, or punished them himself.

so I feel like jack was much stricter and much more serious than ralph was in every possible aspect

dark headcanon:

jack and ralph kissing roughly most of the time because jack is always, always so competitive and aggressive even when he’s doing this sort of stuff, and he always has to be in control in some way or another; which is why he doesn’t even let ralph open his shirt or his pants, like even if ralph tries to put his hands somewhere jack will shove them away and push him angrily on his back and get even angrier. so this sometimes delves into territory that’s kind of brutal and scary for ralph, and he finds himself telling jack to stop when jack gets too rough because jack doesn’t think clearly anymore in those moments; so jack kind of has the instinct to be forceful with ralph, but he knows he can never truly bring himself to do it, because ralph has too much power over him, and even if some dark part of him wants to use force and tempts him to do it, he knows he’ll never bring himself to hurt ralph in that way
