i had a restful and restorative saturday where i slipped all social obligations and assembled a wonky future wall hanging. i want to have a hand quilting project (see second image for quilting ideas) and this is a nice portable 2'x3' size. i think it will end up being ugly but that's okay.

this was my first time piecing blocks with curves! i was very brave! also all the dark blue is slightly stretchy corduroy and it is nigh unironable and this sucker needs to be steamed

One repeat (everything shown here) takes 45 minutes.

Working the pattern isn’t as bad as I thought but I’m definitely looking forward to the easier ones.

Now I’m thinking about drafting patterns where the hearts are going sideways so the flag colours are horizontal…

Late blanket update: it has been hemstitched and is Off The Loom!

I got super sick and missed my Christmas deadline but that's been adjusted for and all is well. And it's HUGE! (skein of Cascade 220 for scale)

My fears of it being too small were unfounded, I guess 😂

And a new Piranesi necklace. Carved shell, resin, sea glass, ceramic beads and pearls. Going to try making something with fragmented shells next, and to carve an ammonite. Something about the statues
