oh boy i have a lot more to say about ethel cain. i have read her apology, like many other people. im gonna update my stance on this just cause i can. you’re valid if you still don’t want to support her. but as someone who grew up (and is still kinda growing up) in a conservative mormon family, i understand why she said those horrible things, even if she knew they were wrong. I will admit that when i was younger i would say some horrible things too (i was way younger than ethel was when she posted that stuff-maybe 8 or 9) and i think that is the main reason why i can accept her apology so easily and move on from this. i’ve been in her boat, i’ve had people pressure me to say horrible things and i’ve had people make me feel so horrible for saying politically correct things too (i don’t know how else to word that). i have no idea if what im saying makes sense. what i mean is, i’ve changed since my lowkey racist phase (thank god i was too young to have a phone) and i fully empathize with the guilt that is expressed through her apology. as for the stuff with her boyfriend, i will always believe the victim, but this isn’t something that i feel the public should not get involved with-at least to the extent that most people are getting involved. i kinda think that this should be something between hayden and her boyfriend

as always you can inform me on things i’m missing and ask me to explain my thoughts further. most people probably don’t care about what i have to say but im like dying with a fever right now so i have nothing better to do.

ok i’m not gonna say much about what’s going on with ethel cain cause i don’t know much (i refuse to go on reddit) but from what i’ve heard, yes, i 100% believe that she has said racist things in the past, i also believe that she’s changed. her current actions don’t align with those things she said. THAT DOESNT MEAN THAT IT WAS OK TO SAY THOSE THINGS. and you are allowed to be offended and not follow her anymore. people are also hating on her for not acknowledging anything yet. from what i’ve heard, she has acknowledged and apologized for most of the things that are being brought back up. but i think it’s unrealistic to expect an apology already when the old posts were brought up like today or yesterday. personally im going to continue to be a fan of the art and music and try to separate hayden and ethel until there is more information. the music means a lot to me and i don’t think it’s something i can give up. also let me say this, if we’re hating ethel so hard for this, we need to be hating on other artists too. chris brown is somehow able to go on sold out tours but people are attacking hayden so hard she’s deleting her youtube videos and her art account. like, if you wanna be so self righteous, focus on some bigger problems
