“Lots of things come in handy, I’ll admit.” Malia hadn’t been sure of what to think when she’d only just turned, but now that she’d had some time to adapt, she didn’t think it was so bad to be a hybrid. She just didn’t know why Cassius had turned her because after it had happened, he was nowhere to be found. Maybe he just wanted to use her or something by having her be his eyes and ears, but the brunette had a feeling that she hadn’t seen or heard the last of him. “I don’t really know this place by heart, so we’ll just have to see where the main room is. Or any room that has people in it with answers. And if they refuse to give those to us, well…” she allowed her eyes to flicked bright blue for a couple of moments as she continued to head through the large building, keeping her eyes and ears peeled at all times.
As they strode through the building, Isaac kept his own eyes and ears trained on their surroundings. “If they don’t talk, we make them talk.” He agreed, eyes flashing a bright cerulean at his packmate, indicating he meant business just as much as she had. He then smelled two other scents nearby, halting in his tracks, Isaac’s ears caught a conversation between two other guards. “Wait.” His voice fell very quiet, almost a whisper before they rounded the corridor. Peeking around the corner, he saw as both males were armed with guns, laughing about some inside joke they shared together. “You take the one on the right? I get the left?” Isaac suggested, looking back to Malia then, whispering now. There had to be a reason the two guards were guarding that particular hallway, right?

Caroline nodded her head and pulled a bottle out of the bag, handing it to Isaac and she had to admit that this was kind of paining her in a way. She felt weird about giving him a bottle of water and wolfsbane, but she knew some werewolves used it to make sure they were weakened enough. As she was tossed the cellar key, Caroline twisted it inside the lock and checked the door by wrapping her hands around the bars, pulling at them forcefully. “It should keep you in here for the night.” she let him know, a large breath passing through her lips while the werewolf began to prepare for things. The blonde knew that the full moon was close and that his bones would start snapping soon, which was confirmed even more the second the vampire heard him scream. She stepped back from the cellar, though she didn’t want to leave him here either. “I don’t want to leave you all alone here like this.”
Grasping the water bottle firmly in his clutch, he hadn’t even been able to take a swig of the water just yet as the pain radiating throughout his body was unbearable. He needed something to focus on, so quickly, he undid the lid and began to chug the liquid. It felt as though he was drinking battery acid and he quickly tossed it aside, growling hungrily. While it did weaken him to an extent, his anger fueled Isaac, the werewolf aggression beginning to kick in. “I... I can’t control this. You.. should go!” He warned her, teeth beginning to protrude, eyes glowing brightly in her direction before he winced in pain and felt his spine shift, causing another howl of pain to escape his lips. “Ahh!” Isaac’s spine shifted again with a sickening crack, causing the male to fall to the ground in defeat before dark fur began to litter his body.

“What do you need me to do?” she questioned, not sure how Isaac did things because he could go about it differently than Hayley did. “Do you need me to get some wolfsbane? I’ve got some in the bag.” Caroline had brought it with her just in case because some werewolves preferred to weaken themselves with wolfsbane, she just wasn’t sure if Isaac did things that way too. “Have you ever… I mean, have you ever broken out before?” she couldn’t help but be curious about that. The vampire had no idea if he’d been doing this for years or if he didn’t lock himself up in the past. It wasn’t something that she liked to think about because of the screaming and the breaking of bones - things that were enough to make her cringe.
“Here.” He pulled a small key out of his pocket, tossing it towards the blonde vampire. “Just lock this cell for me and before you leave, make sure the cellar door is closed good enough?” When she mentioned the wolfsbane, Isaac rolled his shoulders. “Did you mix it with water?” It was something Derek had shown him years ago but Isaac had never tried to weaken himself like that before. “Yes.” His answer was quite blunt, and he nodded his head a fraction. “Two months ago, I broke out. Derek stopped me from getting too far though.” The two werewolves had fought in wolf form but it was enough to cease Isaac from escaping into town and hurting anybody. Suddenly, he could feel the pain beginning to ache in his core, his bones beginning to shift and he knew he had to hurry. The werewolf began chaining the rest of the restraints to his body, tugging at them forcefully so that he knew they were secure. That’s when his back popped out of place and Isaac hollered in pain, landing on all fours, looking to Caroline in agony.

Descending into the familiar cellar, his ears could faintly make out the sounds of the rushing water from the falls. Though it wasn’t right nearby, it was still off a distance, Isaac’s werewolf senses could still hear the noise and it helped him relax a little more. The male was aware how dangerous it was for Caroline to come help him but he really wanted to make sure he was locked in good this time, that he wasn’t going to escape like he had a couple months back. Placing down his bag, the chains hit the ground with a loud clink, only stifled slightly by the material of the bag. Reaching into the bag, he heard footsteps coming down towards the cellar and knew it must’ve been Caroline as her scent hit his nose not long after. Glancing over as he was securing a thick chain to the cellar wall, Isaac shot her a grateful grin. “Fresh food and clothes too? I didn’t expect that. You’re a life saver.” He told her quite honestly. He then discarded his shirt and tossed it aside, moving towards the wall so he could begin to lock himself up. It was a strange feeling, locking himself up. He’d grown so accustomed to his father doing it for years that Isaac still found it slightly foreign though it was really automatic ever since he’d activated the gene in his blood.
While Caroline tried to be as quick as possible on the full moon whenever she was helping her friend Hayley, the blonde still didn’t enjoy the thought of being out at all during it. She knew it was dangerous, especially for vampires. Vampires could get bitten and would die if they didn’t drink Cassius’ blood, but she also knew that it came at a price. Caroline wasn’t stupid, she’d seen the man around town before, which started back when he sacrificed Elena to break his curse. Now on her way to help Isaac since he’d requested it, she figured that he’d need some food and fresh clothes for tomorrow morning at dawn. Making her way over to the cellar, the vampire wanted to do this quickly so that she could get home without being chased by transformed werewolves. After arriving at the location, Caroline placed the bag with clothes and the other one containing the food down, eyes searching for Isaac and they soon landed on the werewolf. “I brought you some food and clothes for tomorrow morning. I figured you’d want them come daybreak.”

Caroline: I usually help Hayley. That's like our thing. I do it every month.
Caroline: I can help you too, but after I help her, if that's good with you?
Isaac: That's fine with me.
Isaac: The help would be appreciated.
Isaac: There's an abandoned cellar not too far from the falls. That's where I tend to go.

Caroline: I was gonna stay in since it's the full moon and all.
Caroline: Why? Do you need something?
Isaac: Yeah, about that..
Isaac: I got out on a full moon a couple months ago. I got some new restraints but I wanted to ask you if you wouldn't mind helping lock me up later?
Isaac: Just to make sure everything's wolf proof.

“Why would we do that? We can take them.” Malia looked towards the werewolf with a flustered expression for a moment. She’d never been one to run away from things like this and knowing that these people were dangerous to her kind only made her want to take them on more. No, she wasn’t about to hide by taking a backdoor. If these people wanted a war, if they’d just declared one, then that was exactly what they’d get. Using her supernatural speed, the brunette made her way over towards the two guards and appeared as a blur before them, smashing their heads together forcefully so that they’d be knocked out. Once the two males dropped to the ground, Malia looked over her shoulder to let Isaac know that he could join her because the guards had been subdued for the time being. “Just watch out for the cameras. We set those off and they’ll probably all come at us at once. Not something I want to happen.”
Isaac should’ve known Malia was going to take them head on. He wasn’t sure if it was a Hale thing or a werewolf thing -- well, now she was a hybrid. But, either way, he followed suit, watching as in a flash the two males had been dropped to the ground. He blinked a few times before proceeding with caution to join the hybrid towards the entrance. “Cameras. Got it.” Isaac made a mental note as he peered up at the device, knowing he’d have to be sneaky. “I bet that comes in handy a lot, huh?” He was mentioning the speed she’d had from being a hybrid now. Those two guards had never seen it coming. Creeping through the entrance, Isaac noted a camera off to the left and he paced over, reached up and allowed his claws to extend, slashing through the cables of the camera to take it out.

“You’re not responsible for what happened! I’d think the police would be smart enough to know that the perpetrator wouldn’t rush me to the hospital like you did.” Lydia reasoned, her voice growing about an octave higher than normal. She stopped talking to catch her breath and try to calm down. A long awkward silence passed after Isaac finished speaking as the witch couldn’t find the words to comfort her werewolf friend. Finally, she found her voice and repeated what she’d said earlier, “We’ll find a way to clear your name.” Although she had her doubts, the uneasiness on her face was quickly replaced with a look of determination. “You have to call Stiles.”
“Some of the police are smart enough.” Isaac responded, not having much faith in the force besides a few likely people like the two sheriffs and his friends who worked there. He never had much faith in the justice system since they’d never helped him with his abusive father. “I will. Don’t worry. The last thing you should be doing is worrying right now. You should rest, Lydia.” The werewolf commented gently, reaching for her hand a little timidly before offering the witch’s hand a gentle squeeze. All he could think about was the fact that he didn’t want to be sitting behind bars or lose his job like that message had said he would if he didn’t complete the task.

Malia nodded her head when her packmate showed up and asked her if she was ready. She’d already been here for a while and had checked the vicinity out to see what they’d be up against. “I’ve been around the building already. There’s camera’s and security guards now, which I’ve never seen at founders hall before. That probably means they mean business. It’s why I wanted to warn Derek about this whole thing and the pack too. If we’re in danger, I figured you guys would want to know.” she knew she’d have to fight, that she’d probably be knocked on her ass at some point, but Malia would do whatever it took to make sure she and her loved ones were safe and stayed that way.
Tumblr media
If Malia had already checked their surroundings, made note of the new guards and security cameras, then what were they waiting for? “Alright, let’s bring it.” Isaac gave his packmate a smirk, determination residing behind cerulean orbs. When the hybrid mentioned that she wanted the pack to be aware of the danger, he gave her a more serious look then, “Thanks, Malia. It’s good to be aware of what’s going on, keep an eye on our backs.” He preferred to be in the loop. Glancing both directions, he nodded towards the rear entrance where two guards were keeping point. “Should we try the back?”

“A covens more likely, especially with the strength of the spell.” She cursed herself that both she and Isaac had thrown away the notes they’d got - if the person had wrote the notes themselves, that might have been enough to give to Lydia to track them with. “I’ll talk to Lydia about it when I get a chance, they have to be somewhere in town to have so much interest in us.”
Tumblr media
“That’s what I was thinking too.” He commented, rolling his shoulders carefully. “Alright. That would be good. Just let me know what comes of it?” He really hoped there’d be a way to track the person behind everything but he also doubted it. Knowing how strong the spell had been, the anonymous person in question probably hid their tracks really well.

Shuffling down the street, Isaac made sure to keep his senses open. He was entirely aware of where he was going and before he even reached the building, he sensed Malia nearby, her scent hitting his nose. The werewolf sniffed her out, following her scent until he met her, peeking his head around a corner of a nearby building, the founder’s hall parallel from where he stood. Peering at the hybrid, he nodded his head, “You ready for this?” Pausing, Isaac heaved out a small sigh. “Pretty sure they’re gonna try and put up a fight if we’re really about to do this.” He wasn’t backing down. No, he was just stating the obvious. Then again, if they were already picking fights, why should they not try to break in and extract some form of information?
