“However, since 「Inuyasha」 is a work that was beautifully completed, I think 「Yashahime」 can be considered as a “what if” made by Sunrise, so I will proceed to continue to produce the manga based on the edition compliance policy of the anime like for example the settings.”

“One of the Possible Futures” that’s more like it, since not everyone envisioned the characters’ future to be like that in Trashahime and we do not have to accept it as the “official” future and are free to make our own headcanons/fanfics of the future Most satisfying comments, many were upset by them

Things About Rin in Yashahime Episode 1:
1. She is wearing a yellow and orange kimono, which may be a newer kimono that she got from Sesshomaru, but was an interesting choice color wise. I say this because the color and design, even if it is a newer or bigger kimono, is reflective of the kimono she wore when she was younger and still under Sesshomaru’s direct care. That is a link that is meant to be made in the viewers minds. Though, the creators also likely went with this choice in color and pattern for the kimono so it would be very easy to know that was Rin right away.
2. This episode seems to squarely divide the adults from the kids. Kohaku is tasked with keeping Hisui safe and Shippo is ready to protect the twins, but I sincerely doubt that Sango would have felt safe enough to leave her children and Rin solely in the protection of those two. It’s only when she notices that Sesshomaru is standing over the house that she knows that her children and the other kids will be kept safe.
Shippo, Rin, and even Kohaku seem to be kept in the “children’s” category, since we have Sango stating to Miroku that they should return to the kids towards the end of the flashback, after Root Head has been defeated. All of the adults were out fighting, even Kaede and Sesshomaru (who, while he didn’t fight, he was keeping the danger at bay and was outside of the house), all of the children were kept inside (even Kohaku was ushered inside after having took part in the battle a little bit, though his existence is more “in-between,” which makes sense, since he is a teen by now).
3. Let’s take a quick look at this bit:
Tumblr media
It’s an image of Rin’s introduction in the episode. In the English they translated it to something like “A Girl Who Adores Sesshomaru.” Now, I checked out the RAW version to see what Japanese word was used for “adore.” The answer is 慕う (shitau). Shitau is a word associated with love, in general, but not necessarily romantic love (though romantic love could blossom from it, but it isn’t commonly associated with romantic love). Here are some of the possible English meanings/translations of the word from Jisho.org:
1. to yearn for; to long for; to pine for; to miss; to love dearly; to adore
2. to follow (someone)
3. to idolize (for virtue, learning, status, etc.)
When I did some research into the word though, it seems that many Japanese people tend to associate the word with familial bonds (younger -> older for siblings, child -> parent, etc.). Over on the Japanese dictionary site (weblio), which gives the definition for the word, all of the examples involve a familial connection or love.
And on this site (called smcb.jp) various Japanese give their own thoughts and feelings on the different words that the OP asked about (all connected to love in some way). Many noted that it had to do with familial connections or of admiration for a teacher, upperclassman, or senior member, etc.
Over on Hi Native post, there is a post on shitau  that states the suggested translation of the word is actually “admire,” which I feel would have worked here with Rin (I actually think it would have been more fitting than “adore,” but “adore” works okay too). And there is another Hi Native post, which provides examples, all of which use either familial bonds or a bond between students and teachers. And there is also a Hi Native dictionary post on the word, going in depth on the usage of shitau. It notes that the word doesn’t mean love, but can mean something like “I adore you.”
Essentially, shitau is a word that is heavily connected with “looking up to someone.” Now, a romantic love could form from that, sure. But this seems more heavily connected to the “looking up to” that someone does for a parent, older sibling, or someone who can teach or help them grow in some way (a teacher or senpai). It also implies that the person being looked up to is respected by the person looking up to them.
Edit: I originally had links in the post (and you may still find that version floating around), but made an edit and got rid of them so that the post will actually show up when searched/in the tags. You can easily search and find all of the things I mention above though in concerns to 慕う (shitau) and its meaning in Japanese.
Basically, what I’m getting at, is that this first episode really isn’t painting Rin in a romantic light or potentially romantic light at all. It’s presenting Rin as a child who admires Sesshomaru in a similar way that a child admires an older sibling, parent, or teacher. We are given imagery (a kimono in the same color and style as her one from the series), words (her being lumped in with “the kids”), and a descriptive word that connects her with children and loving admiration.
She isn’t being presented as a young woman to us and her love isn’t being shown as romantic either. Could things change? Yeah. Would I personally want this dynamic to change to romantic? No thank you. I feel that the choice to make this the first episode and the first impression that new fans to the series / franchise will have is also important to take into consideration and note.

About Hanyo no Yashahime:
*contains spoilers*
Okay so I watched the first episode of Inuyasha’s sequel, Hanyou no Yashahime. This was my childhood, I will not apologize. I enjoyed it overall and will be watching it religiously (or as much as I can given my schedule) because like… what the fuck happened I need to know, I have so many questions. What does this mean, what does it all mean??!!!????!!
Obviously the first thing I did afterwards was get on this hell site to see other people’s theories and was immediately bombarded with the question: WHO DID SESSHOMARU FUCK?
Which, granted, is a very fair question, because I too would wanna know. But theorizing the maternity of the twins inevitably brings up the dark question we all have deep inside: fucking hell, is it Rin?
Regarding Rin, as far as I can tell the fandom is generally divided into: EW NO and HELL YES.
I am in the camp of Please Give Me a Reasonably Explanation. I see a lot of things being said like omg she definitely grew up and chose to be with him or ew no he raised her wtf is wrong with you ppl. Now, the whole point of this sequel is that something bad happened and we don’t know what happened to our beloved characters.
I think it’s safe to say the “parent generation” got into some kind of trouble because Setsuna was raised by Kohaku and Towa was raised by Sota.
But here’s what I do know from the original time line:
Inuyasha started in 1997
The entirety of the show from ep 1 to the last episode of the final act was approximately set within the span of 1 year. We know this because within that time frame, Kagome transitioned from her final year of “junior high” to “high school”. In Japan (and other places in Asia), middle school is grades 7,8,9, while high school is 10,11, 12.
At the 3 yr time skip in The Final Act series finale, Kagome just graduated high school, which makes it about 2001.
During those three years, Sango and Miroku had 3 babies, Rin lived with Kaede in the human village, Kohaku started rebuilding the Demon Hunter village, Shippo trained further in his fox magic, and Sesshomaru periodically came to visit.
Knowing this, and given that Rin was 8 when the show started, she should’ve been 11 when the show ended. The visual tried to convey this by putting her in a purple kimono in the final episode, since she probably outgrew the orange one.
And here’s where I say maybe we can all take a collective deep breath and stop arguing because Rin is probably not the mother.
In the first episode of the sequel Hanyo no Yashahime, Rin is once again shown in her iconic orange kimono, not her purple one (even though the events of the first episode is only supposed to be 6 months after Final Act). A part of me wonders if the production team is bringing back the orange kimono for nostalgia points, but another part of me is thinking hmmm no, I think they purposely de-aged Rin to make it even less likely for her to be a potential ship candidate, because it is 2020 and some shit just doesn’t fly anymore (nor should it ever have flown).
Regarding how long has it been since The Final Act, we don’t really know, but we have several clues to sort of guide us along:
If we’re to assume our time is their time, then it’s 2020 and 19 years have passed since The Final Act. This is possible since Inuyasha’s timeline coincides with it’s original release year (1997).
The girls (Moroha, Setsun and Towa) are all 14 years old, which means at least fourteen years have gone by.
Kohaku and Sota all look very grown but not old, and Hisui (Sango and Miroku’s son) looks about late teen ish. If you told me he was 19 years old, I’d believe it.
The slight problem with this new series is the style of anime kind of makes everyone look younger, which makes judging their age that much harder. A friend who recently started watching Inuyasha season 1 and jumped to the sequel had commented how they look younger than they did in the original series and that just has to do with the update in anime style.
Assuming 19 years have passed, Towa and Setsuna would have to have been born in 2006, when Rin was 16. Even taking into account the fact that yes it was feudal Japan in the 1400s, and Rin was only with Sesshomaru on the road for a year so he didn’t technically “raise” her, and the cultural differences I’ve seen some people bring up, I still have to take a step back and say, while all of that is true, the audience of this show is unquestionable from 2020 and quite international. I really don’t think they would go there. I really don’t.
But if they were to take that route, I mean it’s possible. However, given how the character design kind of aged down Rin, I don’t think it’s likely.
Only time will tell I suppose.

Voltron Shiro x reader smut
You walk to the bathroom wanting to take a hot bath. Training was tough today, Allura had set the gladiator to level 5 and all through the training lance was flirting you, being distracted by his pesky and pointless flirts, you didn’t see the gladiator coming right at you, the result…falling straight on your ass.
“God my body hurts like a bitch why did lance choose that time to flirt with me? He could have chosen any other-” SMACK you walked straight into a wall. Well you thought it was a wall.
“Hey (y/n) are you alright?” The voice of you sexy ass boyfriend was able to cure any pain you felt from hitting your nose. You look up to see his handsome face and the soft white fluff of hair on his head.
“Yeah shiro I’m fine, its just that the gladiator was pretty tough on us today.” the sight of him always makes you feel so much better.
“I know, you got your ass handed to you by the gladiator. But that’s because lance was distracting you.” Shiro’s eyes narrow at the end of his sentence.
“Babe, don’t make that face you know he doesn’t know that we are dating, hell no one knows that we’re dating.”
“I know, i know,” He takes a deep breath and continues. “When are we gonna tell them?” You can tell that he really wants to tell them. You just don’t know why your haven’t said anything yet.
“Hey if you want we can tell them all at dinner tonight.”
“Really?” He askes surprised.
“Yes but only if you take a shower with me.”
“Baby, you’ve got your self a deal.”
Shiro tells you that he needs to run to his room to get his towel, so you make your way to the bathroom to start the water. Soon after, you strip off your clothes and jump in. The hot water makes contact with your skin and you let out a moan of pleasure. As the water runs down your body you feel strong arms snake their way around your waist. Shiro’s head is resting on your shoulder and his teeth are nibbling on your ear. A warm felling spreads threw your abdomen and down your legs. His fingers slowly making its way down between your legs and gently stroking the area. Hot moans escape your mouth as shiro turns you around and pins you to the wall of the shower. He softly kisses your lips and then he drags his lips down your neck. Sucking on the soft skin. His fingers had stopped stroking you and are now buried deep inside you. His fingers push deeper and thrust in and out.
“Shiro please stop teasing me i want you inside of me.”
“Mhh sure babe.” Shiro grabs your legs and lifts you up and your legs wrap around his waist. He doesn’t even wait and his hips thrust harshly against yours. The hot water running down your body’s only make everything so much more intense. His fingers once again start to stroke your senative parts. Begs escape your mouth as you beg for him to go faster. He listens to your plea and trusts harder than before. Pleasure takes over and your about to cum, your nails dig into his back and you yell out his name. The way his name rolls off your tongue makes him cum deep inside of you, shiro loves thay way you say his name especially during sex. The water now a lukewarm instead of hot runs spreads over your body’s. Shiro un wraps your legs from around his waist and he turns off the water.
“That was amazing.” You say as you step out of the shower, you were finally able to catch your breath, suddenly shiro picked you up and places you on the counter.
“Oh baby, we’re not done yet~”
