Well, shit.
Working as what would technically be known as a call-center Tarot Reader has thrown me for a loop. I joined a particular place to give myself some structure and make a little bit of money while I put myself together as a professional reader. Man, okay. I really did think I was be awesome at this.
It's not that I'm not good at giving readings. I've done great. Every client I've read for old me that my readings have always been accurate and resonated with them. I don't doubt that part of my skill.
But the part that I'd always struggled with, the ADHD/self-diagnosed Autistic part that needs the sort of structure that does NOT come with a contract-only set-your-own-schedule, has taken the brunt of the hit and has now affected my work ethic.
This particular place says, "If you want to stay on, please make X amount of money per month and schedule X amount of hours during this time of day per week." Given how smooth my first month was, I thought it would be the same. But I don't know what happened. I scheduled my hours during what I thought were peak hours, but hadn't gotten hits. (Doing readings for the UK might have had a play in this.) I had logged on for days in a row at this time, yeah, this chunk might have been chat-only, but I don't live alone and can't just be yip-yapping it up in the middle of the night. Turns out no one wants to do chat during those hours. Welp. Okay.
I just got my warning that I had only made a quarter of my for the entire month. The whole month. And it's already the 25th.
Well, my bad if I hadn't put in as many talk-hours this month because for once I was driven to make something happen with my personal Tarot business. I was up doing logos and prepping to make content, studying, writing, roaming in and out of social media. I was making plans for myself, and this place was like "how dare you forget us" and now I'm like shit because that's still income and I hate thinking like that.
It's not my favorite platform as the communication between readers and the higher-ups is severely lacking (unless it's in the form of warning you that you're not in your quota), but it does happen to be the only place so far that does have workable hours.
How do I make $40 in 5 days if I'm only making $0.30 a talk/chat-minute? Meaning if I log on for 296347207349 hours straight and only do a 10-minute reading, that's what, $3.00? I don't know how, but I'm going to do it. What else can I do?
Right: Do me. 'Cuz through all of this, I'm only hopping through these reading platforms so I can build a professional foundation and incorporate these things into my private reading business. I'm going to get to the point where I don't need to make other people money to make myself money, and I don't need other peoples' validations to know I'm doing something good for others to begin with. I just need to keep doing what I'm doing and follow whateverthefuck kind of path takes me where I'm meant to be.

5 ways to incorporate tarot insights into your daily life
Tumblr media
1. Let the imagery and symbols speak to you
Use this method to gain deeper insight into your experiences and notice meaningful coincidence or synchronicity.
For example: If you pulled The Magician and the 'infinity' symbol on the card particularly caught your attention, seeing that symbol again as you went about your day could signify synchronicity; you might want to introspect on the meaning of the symbol in your life further.
Tumblr media
2. Let the card help you visualize
Do 10 minutes meditation where you visualize yourself embodying the characteristics represented in the card you pull.
For example: If you pulled The Chariot, meditate on the area of life that is emotionally challenging and visualize yourself feeling determined not to be distracted by your emotions and push forward. Feel the determination in your body, be The Chariot.
Tumblr media
3. Let the card act as your daily/weekly goal
Do a regular tarot draw (daily or weekly) and make the lesson of the card as a reminder or a goal to achieve for that day/week.
For example: If you pulled Temperance for your weekly draw, 'being patient' and 'focusing on the big picture' might be the mindset and approach you should take in that particular week.
Tumblr media
4. Let the card inspire your creativity
If you do creative work, pull a card and let it inspire you in your creation; create art, design or writing based on the card's theme.
For example: If you pulled The Emperor, you could try creating an art or a fictional story that represented the theme of The Emperor. You could also design objects and your surrounding (eg. your personal gym or room) with the theme of The Emperor.
Tumblr media
5. Let the card guide your intention
Take a card that symbolizes the energy you want to bring to a task and make it your intention before you start the task.
For example: If you were about to do something creative and express yourself, you could take The Sun out of the tarot deck and imagine yourself embodying the quality. Start your task with the positivity and openness of The Sun inside you.
