I was doing 1000 word minimum weekly chapter updates back in high school for a fanfic. i hate using this but this is legit just Skill Issue. Maybe it won’t be good but I can hammer out 600 word essay without a generative algorithm.

The topics I’ve had to look into for the sake of plot in my fanfics include but are not limited to:

- K Pop Industry treatment of their stars (It Is Ba D)

- Flora used for medicinal practices by native tribes (I had to add a line where a character comments how odd it is to find a tropical growing plant in a tundra environment but it was another dimension so I hand waved it)

- Saints in the Catholic Church

- When to bandage vs sewing up a stab wound (though really which fanfic author hasn’t searched up wound care)

- How to convert pulling strength into torsion strength (I Wish I had my notes saved but this was like 2014/15)

outsiders and boring normal people and fandom newbies always think that buckwild kinky porn fanfiction is the strangest fandom hobby but they are wrong.

the strangest fandom hobby is plotty fanfiction, the kind that requires research, because engaging in this hobby makes no goddamned sense.

it doesn’t even give anybody masturbation material, which is at least a logical and admirable goal that contributes to the betterment of society, or at least society’s solitary orgasms.

in other news i hope the cia spyware monitoring my internet usage understands that i’m googling information about smuggling drugs in thailand because i want the details to be right in a single paragraph in a 10,000 word story about a gay mafia guys.

Being an AO3 writer is so much fun bc if anyone asks what I write I can say private indie fiction when in reality it’s silly little queer folk who control my thoughts

Guys, my parents have no idea that I religiously and honestly cripplingly and dependently use ao3. Mainly because despite the fact that I am very much old enough that it should not matter in the slightest, I fear they would go “THE PLacE wiTH aLl the ExpLicIt StuFF?!?”

Anyway it results in some of the most nerve wracking and hilarious shit. Most recently:

Mom: *in front of entire family at dinner table* so I started a fantasy book today, Lee (This is a Thing, because I’ve always said fantasy is better than romance and she’s the opposite haha) Me: hmm? Mom: it originated as a *weird-ass pause* Draco and Hermonie fanfic Me: *valiantly managing  not to choke on my soup while winging the “playing dumb” strategy* yeah? Like, it . . . uses their names and stuff? Mom: no, no. Like, it started as a fanfic about the two of them Me: *still suppressing the urge to choke and die then and there* so it was like, inspired by them? Dad: *snorts in a way that somehow says Haha Lee You Have No Idea* Me: *looks away in a way that says Boy, Do I Ever*

Essentially 

My dad, internally: she has no idea what her mom is talking about

Me, internally: NEITHER of you have any idea what you’re talking about and I (an atheist but in fear of god at this moment in time) pray it stays that way

Hello friends!! After what is most definitely too long, I can now finally present...

A Nindroid's Guide to Being Human!!! AKA me wanting to physically bind a bunch of fanfiction about Zane.

It's only the second book I've ever bound, so its still a bit rough around the edges, but I still think it's super cool!!

I specifically chose this fabric to use as the cover because it looks kinda like snow? Either way I still think it fits Zane and looks nice :)

Here's the full page of contents!! Each author will either be tagged or linked below, but within the book itself the author is listed below the title at the beginning of each work. (A couple extra goodies, like chapter notes and publication date, are all collated at the back of the book :))

Here's a double page spread, showing off both @spinchip 's amazing fic Repainting and the wonderful art done for it by @unknownsigils !! I think the slightly off-white colour of the paper messed with the colours of the art a bit, but it still looks fantastic imo
