It’s such an honor to have been invited into this deeply moving and transformative experience. . . One of the characters I get to play is the Virgin Queen Elizabeth who is the oppressor as well as the oppressed. . . The performance interweaves street dance, documentary theater, songs and video art to “engage a critical conversation around the school-to-prison pipeline, childhood trauma, race and healing.” @klaymoon.embodimentproject . . Sometimes you just have to let go and let it out. . . This is a clip from yesterday’s pit stop at a look out. . . I’ve been going through some health issues for over a year and half now, yet lately it’s been becoming more climactic in my process. It’s been a very frustrating, scary, heavy and also enlightening experience so far. So, I took this opportunity to do a warrior cry and release some of the pain. . . This human life is quite the interesting journey of trials, tribulations, joys, love, challenges, rites of passage and all in between. . . I definitely feel like I’m in and have been, in a #ritesofpassage for a while now. My body has been quite the teacher as this continues to unfold. ❤️ I keep breathing and reminding myself to be gentle, compassionate and to TRUST the process.

#tbt 2017 💗💗💗💗💗💗 So very excited to share the first episode of a short mini series that Jay R Salazar and I created together. . . We have teamed up to share our artistic expressions (me, dancing and him, filming). In the clips later to come, I will be sharing some of the other things I like to play with like props and mask. This was an experiment in showcasing some artistic playtime. . . I am SO grateful for the time, energy and work that we did together and am overjoyed with how these clips have turned out! We did it! . . My first performance workshop series, Nature’s Sacred Movement, was a joyful success! . .
