During my first month with my therapist, I was given this worksheet to read and work on. She noticed that while I was talking with her, that my thoughts followed a lot of these. I wasn’t aware that my anxiety had brought me down paths of low self-worth and stinky thinking. After a couple of weeks of talking with her, she gave me this worksheet to work on.

While, at first, I thought these weren’t going to work out, I was very surprised to see just how easy they were to use . My homework at that time was to identify which sort of thinking I used on the regular and which ones would best challenge them for me. So, what do you think? Do any of the maladaptive thinking patterns sound like you? which ways would you like to untwist your thinking?

I wish they didn't got rid of Bloom being an artist
Whenever I watch S1 of winx I get angry realising that bloom's bedroom used to have drawings about fairies AND SHE HAD A DRAWING TABLE AND ART SUPPLIES AS WELL

LOOK AT THISSSS

I wish they kept this personality trait and let her be more than "just" the main character and the leader... Imagine her bonding with Helia because of their interest in art, helping him paint something to Flora (probably making her jealous or suspecting something is going on between them because yk we gotta have a conflict of course we do), or even more with Stella and design clothes as the fashionista duo that they are SO MANY POSSIBILITIES
Idk if the comics have done something like that or not, but I wanted to see this on the show. It could be fun seeing her thrive with an art career on Earth, Just like Musa wanted to be an "official" singer in S4
I didn't watched S7 or S8, so idk if they mention this later on, but from what I remember it was just thrown aside AND THAT IS SO SAD
#winx#bloom#winx club#thoughts#yes yes yes#that whole helia thing is gold#the writers missed so many opportunities

Congratulations G!!🎉🎉

A Mermaid Story
I’m looking for this short story. I think it’s online but I can’t seem to find. So if anyone knows what I am talking about please help me. Maybe I dreamt this up, maybe but it was a wonderful story that I can’t find anywhere anymore. It’s sort of like a reverse little mermaid.
The story is about this fisherman’s son. He is the second born and he is not very close to his father. He never knew his mother and he is pretty much in the shadow of his perfect older brother. I don’t know how it happens but in his teen years, he finds out the existence of mermaids and undersea mythical creatures. He feels a connection to them and wants to join them. He hears the stories of a witch who can help him transform. When he goes to the witch, she agrees to help him but he has to make a sacrifice for the transformation to work. He needs to sacrifice something precious to him to make the merman transformation permanent. So the boy tries different things. He tries giving up precious items but it’s not enough. One day, his father, the fisherman comes to him and realizes that he’s never really understood his son. But this is because he takes more after his mother who passed away years back. The fisherman explains that the mother went to great lengths to be with him. She gave up her tail, the very thing that defined her as a mermaid in order to obtain the magic necessary to become human. Upon hearing this story, the boy knew exactly what he had to sacrifice. Before the boy left, the fisherman said he knew what his son was up to but he wouldn’t stop him. He had to let his son be his own person and not hold him back, even if this means losing him for good. So the boy went back to the witch and announced what he was giving up. He realized that what he had to sacrifice was something that would ensure he could never come back to land. That was the kind of major sacrifice the witch needed. If his mother gave the tail that allowed her roam the oceans, then the boy decided to give up his ability to breathe air in exchange for a life underwater. The witch accepted this sacrifice. She created the potion the boy would need to complete his transformation. Once he took it, he would never be able to stay above water ever again. The boy accepted the price of his freedom. He went back to the beach, took a swig of the potion and he quickly found himself as a merman. And with his new tail, his new found freedom, the boy dove into the water, deeper and deeper and deeper he went. And he never looked back. Never regretted the decision.
The End
That’s the story. I think I got most of the details down. I can’t find it anywhere. If anyone knows this story, please send me the link. I would love to read it once more.

Someone introduced the concept of foe fiction, and yeah, that checks.
Musa used to be my favorite, but I don’t know what happened to her during season 4, I was expecting her story go somewhere else? For a moment she gave me the vibe of the one who keeps everyone at arm’s lenght, the one who takes care of others but doesn’t let anyone take care of her.
She also felt like wasted potential, like she was the fairy of music and yet she sang only one time? And during the concert videos, Bloom (the most special girl of them all) was the vocalist.
Maybe this is because I was a teen when I watched the series, but the show didn’t aged with its viewers. It ended up being targeted at young girls.
ALSO! After studying fashion design I wished the girls styles were more diverse.

The Summer Triangle
The summer triangle is a famous asterism in the northern hemisphere made up of 3 brightest stars from 3 constellations:
Vega (0.03) -a bright blueish star from Lyra the lyre. 26 LY away. (I can really see the light blue from my binoculars!)
Altair (0.77) - the 12th brightest star in the night sky from Aquila the eagle. 16.8 LY away
Deneb (1.25) - from Cygnus the swan. It is dimmest of the 3 even though it is a blue-white supergiant because it is 1500 LY away.
These 3 stars are so bright you can easily spot them in urban skies. From 4N, it can be seen as early as June after midnight rising above the eastern horizon as seen in this picture here, lying on its side. It can be seen all the way till early October. The first constellation that I always see will definitely be Cygnus as its 5 main stars makes up another asterism called the Northern Cross. Then followed by Aquila and lastly Lyra. I'd like to think the lyre's body as a parallelogram. Other than Vega, its other stars are quite dim and with the light pollution I see it clearly with my pair of cheap binoculars.
You can use the summer triangle to find north too!
Starting from Altair -> Deneb-> Vega-> Polaris. The pathway forms a "lightning bolt" pointing to the north star.
Another method involves imagining a mirror image of the triangle and move downwards from the tip of the triangle to find the north star a few degrees west. Honestly, I find the lightning bolt method much easier.

Jewelry Diaries: Gold version
Disclaimer: not all of them are real gold. Most of it are either gold plated or gold filled. I only have a few pieces of solid gold jewelry. (the ones to the lower left). I'm also just an avid gemstone collector.

Lately I'm really liking gold jewelry because it goes well with my warm tones. Growing up, I've always worn silver or white gold. I am now slowly being converted. Similar to my last post, I am a sucker for vintage style pieces. They just add a little bit of magic to my day when I wear them.
Ok so rollcall from the top:
Rings: all of them are gold filled except the only 22k solid gold crown at the top. This is my first solid gold purchase so its special. Honorable mention: the sapphire one was me yanking the stone from another ring and placing it there.

Below the ring box will be the other 22k solid gold pieces that I currently own: 2 pendants, a bracelet, a necklace and a pair of baby hoops. I added those little beads separately. The pendants deserve a spotlight showcase of their own. The peridot clover pendant was a rare find because where I'm from it's very difficult to find gold pendants with gemstones and with a vintage-ish style?? I'm SOLD! I always get compliments when wearing this. I really dig the intricate designs of the longevity lock (right). It has tiny little bells that jingles, adds a spring to my step.

Pendants from the left to right (close up): sandstone moon cycle pendant (which I later found out was ACOTAR merch but I bought it because I like the moon design), Tiny garnet, amazonite locket, rainbow moonstone, opal, labradorite, kyanite spear, Aquarius constellation (its not my sign I just like the constellation), another labradorite at the top.

I think this opal deserves a closeup because LOOK AT IT! SOOO pretty! It's manmade tho. Love love love the pendant frame. When I wear this I feel like a bridgerton character ready to ho it up

The amazonite locket is really neat because it opens up and you can change the gemstones!? Its so cool. The back also has star motifs on it. You get 2 looks in 1. I got it from a local brand, Wanderlust, really good quality and doesn't tarnish. The labradorite is my latest purchase. I think I got scammed because it was not as flashy as advertised.
As for bracelets just 4: amazonite chain, star and moonstone bracelet both from Wanderlust and the butterfly.

Close up on the hoop earrings. (Left) Iolite with labradorite layered on top. They do that probably because the Iolite wasn't as high quality but its such a sick combo. Look at that ethereal glow! (Right) 2 star motif earrings that I wear everyday that weren't in the pic. The huggies are from Wanderlust too. (not sponsored but wish I was)

These tiniest natural opal studs require you to squint to really see the beautiful colors. Its the daintiest piece I own.

the concept and idea of “you can always start trying to be a better person” is extremely important to me both in media and irl and i continue to be deeply deeply disturbed by the trend on this site pushing that these ideas in media are bad writing or even morally reprehensible
because theyd rather someone stay terrible or just straight up die than become a better person
from a compassionate point of view it’s deeply distressing and from a pragmatic point of view it’s outright frustrating
it’s fucked up.

There is no Wreck it Ralph 2 in Ba Sing Se. Anyways it doesn't even need a sequel, it was a perfect story with a perfect ending.
Frozen: After years of longing I am finally reunited with my sister whom I love.
Frozen II: Bye.
Wreck-It Ralph: After years of abuse and neglect I've made a friend who admires and respects me.
Ralph Breaks The Internet: Bye.
Lilo and Stitch: After years of struggle and trauma I've made friends who admire and respect me and I can stay united with my sister whom I love.
Lilo and Stitch (2025): Bye.
Disney, do you have something you need to talk about? Any issues? Anything at all?
#lilo and stitch#lilo and stich 2025#wreck it ralph#ralph breaks the internet#frozen 2#frozen#ralph became sooooo whiny and clingy#destroyed his character development

I loved how Layla was introduced in Season 2 and how she just assimilated into the group so naturally. Her friendship dynamics with the girls were done so well especially with Flora and Musa.

she’s a MOM
