I think part of my disconnect with the Dresden Files, which i continue reading in a manner similar to a child who keeps touching the stove, is that Jim Butcher wants me to see Harry Dresden as a cool guy on some level. But to me he is basically Harry DuBois with magic. Like every time a woman acts like they're interested in him I'm like "how could anyone like this guy, this is a man who is currently making The Expression"

Like this is what Harry looks like to me after the first three or four rounds of getting his ass kicked he does in the first third of every book. And I'm expected to think that everyone from his own apprentice, to his cop friend, to the wizard cop lady, to the Queen of Air and Darkness, all see this and feel some kind of sexual urge? Absurd. Please get back to causing him mortal pain Jim, its my favorite part of the story.

Not trying to be judgmental or mean or anything but what is up with people thirsting after Ghost Face from Scream? Like normally if I don't get something like this I just move on, it's not my business, but I see a surprising amount of like, buff guy in the ghost face mask art and im just kind of confused. Cause like I've only seen the first Scream and neither of the dudes who wore that costume were buff they were both pretty skinny. And also I never see art of them explicitly, I see art of someone in the mask who is buff.

What's the part I'm missing here? What's the appeal of that mask?

If you are not watching the most recent Gundam series, GQuuuuux, I really want to reccomend it because I have seen almost all of Gundam (this is not an exaggeration), and i think that the latest episode of Gquuuuux is in the running for one of the single best episodes the franchise has ever put out. Its a perfect distillation of both the military scifi and new age spirituality at the core of the series, synthesizing them into a harrowing and beautiful sequence of scenes that may not have their equal anywhere other than the moments of the original Mobile Suit Gundam.

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

Icosahedron power is actually quite unhealthy for the human body. Researchers believe that DND players are being exposed to health risks on the level of smoking two packs of cigarettes every time they roll a d20. It's so weird to me when people are like 'but that will cost the government money!' So what? They're the government, they're supposed to be spending money. What, you want them to take your tax dollars and then do nothing with it? Lock it all up in a big government vault and just look at it? Why are you so scared of giving a third grader lunch or a homeless person a house.

They should do a story line of Batman where Bruce Wayne runs for Mayor in Gotham and is just dogshit at it but at one point some sleazy career politician who everyone kind of hates but is too in good with the local political machine to get voted out pushes him a little too far and Bruce executes a perfect judo throw on the little grease ball on live television and suddenly his approval rating skyrockets so he just starts being really aggressive in his campaign and all the city machine types are like "we gotta do something about this" and they hire some thugs to menace Alfred and Damian to send a message to Bruce but Damian whips all their asses so they get desperate and hire some super villain to try and kill Wayne but of course Batman stops the villain and even though he didn't say anything the press start publishing shit about how Batman supports Wayne and this skyrockets him into a win and then you make actually running the city so fucking miserable that Bruce almost buckles under the pressure, like it's the hardest shit he's ever fucking done and all the Robins are really worried about him because he's somehow more dysfunctional and self destructive as Mayor than he ever was as Batman.
