Crowley didn’t get a chance to update Aziraphale about what he learnt in heaven, about Gabriel refusing to green light the end of the world, and subsequent punishment.
Am just floating the idea that maybe the kiss wasn’t just Crowley desperately trying to hold onto Aziraphale, but maybe included some sharing of that info with Aziraphale (via some weird Angel osmosis) of what he has seen/knows.
I mean if a fly can carry an archangels memory, I feel this isn’t completely out of the realm of possibility.
Crowley wanted them to go off together and leave heaven/hell to do whatever they wanted, and Aziraphale’s “I forgive you!” after the kiss might be because now he has the full info, he is still desperate to save the world he has fallen in love with, and not abandon them, and is disappointed Crowley would abandon it.
I just increasingly cant quite believe that Crowley - who has been desperately trying to protect/save Aziraphale at every turn - would let him walk into Heaven unaware that if he tries to stop them destroying earth in future they will remove his memory and demote him at best.
The above is annoying me.

The kiss….
So many people are posting about how romantic and amazing that Crowley and Aziraphale kissed in the show.
But after 6,000 years of their blossoming friendship, Crowley takes their first kiss and makes it nothing about love, it was instead about manipulative control, the exact thing they were supposedly upset Heaven/Hell kept using to get what they wanted, not allowing free will if it goes against their own plans.
Crowley was a silly boy (still love him) but unless I am romantically stunted (very possible) that kiss was not romantic. It was forced, and desperate and if I were Aziraphale I would be pissed too. If I had been wanting to kiss Crowley for years (and who hasn’t been) and it was a rushed aggressive power move, I would say “I forgive you” for ruining what should have been such an amazing moment for us both, too.
Feel free to put me in my place if you disagree.

Aziraphale - Appears innocent, sweet, bumbly. But is tortured about his affections for Crowley, wants people to know when he has done things (bit of a show off), and has lied to important angels historically.
Crowley - Appears intimidating, potentially threatening and duplicitous. But has actually been the honest one historically, sharing his honest opinions (even to his superiors) which got him damned, and tries to do good without requiring recognition.
Am annoyed at everyone saying Aziraphale is a sweet angel baby, when he is the one with more sins on the score card out of the two (in my opinion), he just masks it whereas Crowley is who he is.

After the beautiful memento mori imagery in Season 3, I feel that ‘Death blowing bubbles’ in the Holy Grave Chapel is very Hannibal (*cough* Season 4) coded.

The longest of long plays…
So hear me out then you can poop all over it.
I don’t believe Will and Hannibal wanted to be out of contact for the 3 years. I think Will wanted to try to be free of Hannibal, but realised pretty soon a “normal” life wasn’t to his taste (his palette having been expanded by Hannibal).
But, the Baltimore State Hospital for the criminally insane is bugged and phonecalls/mail is monitored, so if Will or Hannibal tried to communicate with one another it would have sent out alarm bells. Alana would have found out and stuck her oar in, and no doubt the info would reach Jack, who then might not be inclined to work with Will in future. And Will has no legitimate cause to get in touch with Hannibal other than their friendship, so what reason could Will give for visiting/communicating with Hannibal other than missing his besty/boyfriend.
Yes, Will wanted to test out life without Hannibal (but from the perspective of the one who decides to leave first - “Goodbye Hannibal”) unlike the last time when Hannibal left him with a smile (Mizumono). However, he needs to allow for the potential of a future opportunity to visit/escape with Hannibal, so he also needs to appear to always be the FBIs asset and not Hannibal’s. Hence radio silence for 3 years.
Will can almost keep pace with Hannibal’s forward thinking/planning, and he knows Hannibal does not intend to spend his life in prison.
Hannibal calculated a future escape as a potential outcome when he gave himself up. He knew Jack was so selfish with solving crimes that a murderer would come along one day who would entice Jack to re-recruit Will, and Will would need/want to come and find Hannibal at BSHCI to talk over the case. Hence the letter to Will apparently warning him off, but in truth acting more like an invitation to dinner.
The teacup coming back together… partially.
So basically I am saying that Hannibal and Will were testing out separation. Hannibal showing Will he could control his appetite by being in a cell not murdering anyone. Will trying out nuclear family life that he claimed he would be good at #fail. But during this time were both savvy enough to make sure they kept up appearances with Jack/Alana/FBI so that if an opportunity to escape/be together came up in the future and they still wanted it, they could snap it up.
And they did.

Replace HD’s suit and plaid shirt with a period tunic and I think these two images go quite nicely together. Hannibal crossover with ACOTAR. An omnisexual high lord and their bi-curious subject who causes the High Lord nothing but trouble and amusement…
Ignoring the Hannigram/ACOTAR fantasy aspect….
Mads Mikkelsen really needs to be in a fantasy film styled like this, because as this picture (by my_dark_design) illustrates, he would serve this look.
