a/n: july already startin off shitty. but yall are over due for a poem!! so hear yall go! (this shit kinda sad, im ngl ive been gettin beat tf up recently)

My head had been held high, my hopes shooting higher. each passing day i get shown why atheists exist. if there is someone up there, why?

Why have I went down this road? why is it so bumpy? why cant i get it back straight? why is the potholes fuckin up my tires? I have other places to go and I don’t get paid enough to replace em. Is anybody even up there?

The question ran circles around my head, each letter hop scotch their way through the box of the mind. scratching and scrambling to make sense but it always ask the same question in the end. “Why?”

Why must you give me false hope? why would you do me like this and then dispose me when I’m no longer important? I hate that. I trusted you. I loved you.

then again, im not your responsibility.

It’s not your job to watch over me, make sure my mental is up to par, you too busy in my ass to not see the cellulite. You would know it gets bumpy, not smooth like social media paints it. The continuous flow of the paintbrush is so soothing you forget everything around you. Forget that the world is falling apart, forget that the people you held close and have such high standards for, doesn’t hold you to the same level.

Alter ego, I know you want to save me, save my heart from yet another pain, that unimaginable pain that you can only get from each uniquely experience, I just know.

But what you have to know, is that you can’t save me from myself.

I sink, I kick, I flap, I gargle, with every tear and every strength I have left? I fight. but even champs grow weak, experience exhaustion. my limbs lighten. i swallow. i sink further with everything coming in all at once.

floating in the deep end. i couldn’t save you. for that I am sorry. I watch as your light fades from you. but if nobody else is jumping in to save you? why should you?

“yeahhhhh” i breathe my last sentence, sinking my head back into the water. Why should I when nobody is willing?

I am once again thinking about Sinners and realizing that the after-credits scene in part serves to show how 1932 was not that long ago. A young man in 1932 could still be around in the 90's. The movie takes place in a time that seems so foreign and so far away, but it really isn't.

I met this plug lets say, 3 weeks ago? I almost missed my chance but he was still willing to sell to me.

I have one plug, but he not selling to me nor is his shit hitting like it should, I needed something new, something different, something moreee… fulfilling. But I didn’t search for him, I’m not that much of a fein.

He approached me with a sample, I didn’t think anything of it since I didn’t think it would be as good as the one I have. But wow, His shit may take the cake.

The sample had me feeling on cloud 9, 10 if there was one, I was floating for hoursss, I even bragged to my friends but never told them who my dealer was. I was taking any and every precautions to keep this one to myself as much as possible. But not only is his product good, he himself is better.

He can hold a conversation, has a great sense of humor, not so ignorant but cocky enough to be tolerable. It’s refreshing.

I think about my old dealer alot. I still fuck with him and his product, the problem is he won’t sell to me. he tells me he got some shit but… where the fuck is it? Always promoting new products and promising to get back with me the next day but… he’s gone with the wind, selling to others what should be mines. I get mad yes, but then I have my backup and I feel… conflicted.

Love them both, have the best time with them, but I cant choose. The law requires one, but why can’t I have both? Is it a crime to want them both? How could I decide on who gets my money?
