You know I've always wondered why all of the Trollmarket trolls look different from one another. Like, there aren't any trolls who look the same at all. For instance, the Kubera all look the same because they're the same species of trolls, same with the trolls from Gatto's keep. So did the Wumpa tribe.

Theory 1: The Trollmarket Trolls in Arcadia were a big group of several different tribes back during the war with the Gumm-Gumms in Europe. After the Battle of Killahead Bridge, they just decided to stick together and follow Vendel as their Leader to find a new Hearthstone in America.

Theory 2: Trollmarket is well, a market. So there must be some permanent residents or some temporary guests that came to the market to buy stuff for spells, potions, etc...so a lot of different kinds of trolls just come and go in and out of the market as they please. There are hotels for the visitors to stay for a while, but there are more visiting trolls than permanent resident trolls.

As Dictatious was working, Milo goes to him. "Father? Mother needs to see you."

He looks at Milo. "Right now?"

"Right now."

He tells Milo to continue his work and went to their sleeping area. He walks in to see Ruby alone, sitting aside the nest. Dictatious goes to Ruby. Before he said anything, Ruby pulls him in a tight hug and cries.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Ruby sobs.

He hugs her back. "Everything will be ok. This will pass."

Dictatious hasn’t seen Ruby for a week now. But his frustration with Ruby turned into worry. He does get updates on her by his kids.

😈 - manipulating with others

Since Blinkious was born, Dictatious had his practice on manipulating. He would manipulate Blinky to steal sweets from their mother before dinner, so steal a toy or book. As Blinky got older, it got more difficult to manipulate Blinky. But Dictatious is one step ahead. He study Blinky, to the point that he could read Blinky like a book when he wants something from him.

That same manipulation went to Gunmar. He used Gunmar to keep himself alive in the Darklands by throwing cheap compliments and clever ideas. The longer Dictatious stayed in the Darklands the more he study Gunmar. That is what is good at, after all. He will do and say anything to Gunmar to keep him on his good side. His surprised Gunmar never caught on earlier. Maybe Dictatious is that good?

Although his manipulation can go so far. It doesn’t work on his mother. He wouldn’t dare do it on his father.

For his own kids, some can be manipulated easily, some are more difficult.

As for Ruby, well….she has manipulated Dictatious since they first meet.

Part of my growth is to not let my insecurities get to me. That includes Trollhunters fans shipping Dictatious with canon or other ocs. I get so insecure about myself when I see different fanart and fanfics of Dictatious with other ships. And I fucking hate it! Just because some people like one Dictatious ship doesn’t mean natatious isn’t bad or my stories and lore are bad. It’s like the whole “oh look two cakes!” Meme. I need to have more self esteem in my ocs, their stories, my art….who knows I might have inspired someone to make a oc to ship with Dictatious. Whatever it is, I am working on my self esteem when it comes to other Dictatious ships. Just be patient with me. I’m trying my best.

5. someone they’ve forgiven

She's forgiven Dictatious for taking Gunmar's side. She knew he was doing his best to survive the only way he could. She doesn't have a quarrel with anyone who decides to go work for Gunmar. She understands.

He lets out a coo as he eats from Gunmar’s heartstone energy. His legs kick, and his four arms move. After he was done, he pulled away, satisfied.

-Time skip-

Moans of pain echo throughout the halls. Coming from Ruby and Dictatious living quarters. All seven children wait anxiously outside the room, quit. As Gunmar’s new whelp was being born.

Dictatious, and some healer thralls were in the living quarters helping Ruby with the birth. The news of the birth quickly spread around. A thrall came to Gunmar with the news.
