For spooky season this year, the Daemyra Discord is hosting a sinful week of fun leading up to Halloween. Prepare your fics, edits, and fanart because from October 25 to October 31, we will be indulging in the Seven Deadly Sins of Daemyra. The prompt event will have general words for each day focusing on one of the seven sins (lust, gluttony, sloth, greed, envy, wrath, pride), but the event will also be open to custom-submitted prompts. Announcing: New Event!

For two years, we have laid in waiting to the return of the dragons. Now that we finally know a return date for House of the Dragon Season 2, what better way to warm up for their arrival on June 16th than with a new event? This is Back in Black: The Return of Daemyra.

The theme is simple: return. This is a prompt event, meaning anyone can submit prompts so long as it fits with the general theme. There's no limit to the possibilities and all kinds of Alternate Universes are welcome, from canon-divergence to modern. It can be at the beginning of their relationship or at the end. Whether it's about Daemon and Rhaenyra getting a second chance romance, or one returning home after a long absence, or travelling through time to be reunited with one another, the idea is to reunite our two favorite Targaryens. Daemyra Comment Gifting Event

This initiative is aimed at encouraging readers to read the underrated and underappreciated Daemyra fanfics and show them some support. You can share them and leave kudos, but, most importantly, this event is about showing these writers that they are loved and appreciated by commenting on their fics.

We encourage readers leave comments of at least 75-100 words. Comments can include, but isn't limited to, "live reacting" to the fic as you read, general discussion of the fic, questions you have for the writer, in-depth analysis of scenes, etc. Please refrain from comments pushing the author to update i.e. "Please update this soon!" and criticism. The point of this event is to offer writers encouragement, it is not to be a writing critic or put pressure on writers.

After you're done commenting, head on over to our Google form where you can leave the mods the link to the fic and the comment that you left. We will then promote these fics through our social media (Twitter, Instagram, Bluesky) and in our fic-links! At the end of December, we will be awarding several prizes for the best commenters of the event on our server!

12 Days of Daemyra

a winter holiday event

It's the holiday season! This year, we will be hosting a 12-day prompt celebration for the winter season. We welcome Daemon and Rhaenyra art, fic, drabble, edits, moodboards, and more throughout these upcoming weeks. From December 21st, 2023 to January 1st, 2024, each day will feature two connected word prompts. You can choose whether you want to apply one word or both to your contribution, the prompts should simply be a jumping off point. We encourage you to lean into the theme of the season and have fun with it!

Aside from connecting your fics here to the collection and posting links to your work in the Daemyra Events channel or in fic links, you can also post it on social media using #12DaysOfDaemyra.

DESCENT (ALICE!RHAENYRA x MAD HATTER!DAEMON ▸ Alice in Wonderland!AU)

The disappearance of a precocious young woman—to torture his estranged brother. Down the rabbit hole she went. The corruption of said young woman to the point of insanity—for his own amusement. Teas and cake laced with something special. Daemon had coldly calculated everything, except, perhaps, for how he unexpectedly fell for the blossoming girl. It spooked him. And being as mad as he was, very little did. It was enough to reveal their kinship, hoping to drive her away. But Rhaenyra, the lovely little lady with the glinting mischievous eyes that mirrored his, chose to stay. Her home was not above ground either. An arranged marriage and being her father’s disappointment were not good enough reasons to resurface. Instead, among the broken clocks and the tall mushroom trees, they could be free.
