dazai is always sneaking up on kunikida at work and giving him kisses and hugs just to fluster and mess with him. one day kunikida catches dazai off guard at work by kissing him on the cheek and dazai gets so absolutely surprised and flustered and blushes so hard

THIS IS SO CUTE!!! And yes, Dazai loves kisses from Kunikida, soft gentle kisses that make him feel loved and valuable and pretty. Once he learns to accept soft touch, he is insatiable for it. Not that Kunikida minds - he loves to kiss Dazai, and make him feel good.

Day 19: Kunikida loves doing yoga. He painstakingly learned all the forms, & studied differences between cultures. He didn't understand at first why Dazai loved to watch him... (hint: it's hot.) Kunikida & Yosano sometimes do it together - it's very relaxing.

Day 18: Dazai is not a morning person. But Kunikida is - he gets up at ass o'clock in the morning to do yoga & eat fruit. Dazai refused to get up at first, but now he likes to peek through the covers and watch Kunikida's yoga routine...

Tbh, Dazai is more of a whore, and Kunikida is an elegant princess, but hey. Finally my bbg is getting attention. It's what he deserves.

the headcanon about dazai loving soft things except kunikida’s hair is really soft so whenever they’re cuddling you bet dazai is nuzzling into kunikidas hair and running his hands through it

It's one of my favorite knkdz hcs... and YES! Dazai loves Kunikida's hair. He will brush it, braid it, play with it, twirl his fingers in it, (even nom on it in his sleep... Kunikida hates that...)

Day 17: Kunikida pays close attention to Dazai on days where he rambles a bit too much, as if he's silently asking for distraction. If listening to a rant about the lack of longevity in octopus' means Dazai can distract himself from harmful thoughts? Worth it.

Hi anon! Omg absolutely 🥺 Those are some of my favorite hcs anyway!! I have many that plan to post, but here are a couple right now:

Dazai wasn't allowed to eat sweets as a child and therefore didn't develop much of a craving for them. (Except mochi ice cream, he loved that even when he met Oda.) Alcohol messed up his taste buds, but Kunikida very slowly started weaning him off of alcohol and onto sugar. It was gradual, replacing drinks and giving small sweets, so Dazai barely noticed at first. The more he ate Kunikida's good cooking, and the less junk he ate, the more his taste buds healed. He adores pancakes with pure childlike wonder - he swears they taste better if they're shaped like fish or stars instead of just round.

Dazai giggles around Kunikida. He never giggled as a child, let alone a teenager. He laughed, sometimes, but never genuinely and playfully giggled, until being in a relationship with Kunikida. Kunikida heard Dazai giggling to himself while playing with his sea creature plushies when he thought Kunikida was busy in the kitchen. Kunikida filmed him, because it was so precious.

Dazai adores soft things. Give him a very soft plush, and he will run his fingers over it and through it and hug it and rub it against his cheek for at least an hour. It feels amazing on his skin, and he delights in the sensation. Kunikida couldn't fathom having a childhood deprived of even the basics, such a soft clothes or toys, especially someone from a wealthy background, but such was the lot of his boyfriend. Kunikida makes sure to always have someone soft on hand if Dazai gets fidgety. It distracts him and calms him.

Day 16: Dazai's love for sea creatures spills over into everything. Kunikida starts bringing him sea creature themed things when he has to go on longer missions without Dazai, or even long errands, to make up for the time & watch him smile.

Day 15: Dazai loves Studio Ghibli movies. Doesn't matter how many times he's seen them, he's just as enthralled at every viewing. Kunikida was meh about them at first, but after watching them with his excited & happy bf, he came to love them too.

I’m not sure, but I think this short story was made for an Animate event. Anyway, the gist of the story is this:

Atsushi has been working for the Armed Detective Agency for quite a while now. His jobs usually involve him accompanying the girls to eat, looking after Dazai, teaching Ranpo how to ride a train, looking after Dazai, avoid being kidnapped by the mafia, looking after Dazai, etc. When he got his pay, he was confused with what to do with it so he asked Dazai for help. Dazai told him that as a fully-fledged member of society, there may come a time when he would have to present himself more formally and for that reason, new clothes are needed. Before he can protest, Atsushi is dragged by Dazai into different stores. They finally settle on buying…. a hat.  A wide-brimmed hat with gaudy feathers and the like. While wearing the hat that he bought, Atsushi can feel all eyes pinned on him. Back at the agency, the other members tell Atsushi that such a hat is not necessary and that Dazai was just having fun at his expense. Yes, typical troll behavior. A few days later, Atsushi is shocked to see a person wearing the same hat, albeit this one looks a bit older. The owner of the hat is none other than Kunikida.

Day 14: Dazai has a hard time in expressing how he feels, but tries very hard on his first White Day with Kunikida. He makes a schedule for the day, spends weeks learning how to make pancakes to bring him breakfast in bed, & buys him forgetmenots.

Day 13: Kunikida did their first Valentine's Day, which meant Dazai did White Day. He took Kunikida to one of Tokyo's beautiful gardens, had a picnic lunch (of store-bought food), & gave him a fancy glasses chain & dark chocolate.
