Throwback Thursday reaches to 1991 Back left, that’s me and I wouldn’t believe it my self, but yeah, that’s me alright. I used to work as a DJ for KLDR/KAJO radio for a few years. One of my teachers from high school asked me if I would be interested in being on the radio and I jumped at the chance. Most of the time I was on the FM side but on Sundays I would work the AM. Having that job opened a lot of doors for me, BJ Calvert took me under his wing and showed me the ropes. Had the chance to work along side Carl Wilson and Chris Barnett, both still here in the Rogue Valley. Hot Air Balloon rides, kite flying, and good times. This weekend, June 1st 2nd, and 3rd Come celebrate Summer, family time, and southern Oregon! @caleblaplante and @gpballoonfest folks have been working hard to get this event “off the ground” and things are going great. Michio Hoshino, a well known photographer that took photos of dangerous wildlife was mauled to death inside his tent while on a shoot back in 1996. Discovered on his camera was this photo, the last one he took. Grants Pass is lucky to have such an organization such as the Active Club. They work hard every year to bring one of the towns biggest events of the year, Boatnik. Well it’s their 60th year anniversary and I would personally like to thank them for doing such an awesome job giving back to the community. Good to be back! Enjoyed some fun in the sun☀️ Now I'm more then ready to get back in the saddle and drop some hair. Did you get your haircut yet, if not then come on in and we will sort you out. Not much more time left before the fat man in the red suit comes to town. I'm nowhere near ready for the holidays and I'm pretty certain that some of you aren't either, but let's be honest here. We all wait till the last minute to get things done, now why not get a jump start and get cleaned up?You will feel so much better about your self, seriously. Nothing beats that "fresh out of the barbershop" feel. If you have never been to our shop please know that we encourage appointments because we are quite busy. That being said, walk-ins are always welcome. It's up to you if you have the time to wait. Other then that, we just want to say Merry Christmas to everyone and enjoy your time with your families. You know, a lot of what we get done is because we have an awesome front desk. Victoria handles so much for us, so that we may remain focused on doing hair.
