listen I’m very much on board with stopping the genocide in gaza but good god do some of yall need to check yourselves. it’s one thing to call out israel on its war crimes, but another thing to be straight-up antisemitic. and as much as I know most of the pro-palestinian movement isn’t like that, there’s also a lot of shit out there, especially here on tumblr. and I’m not about to say that everyone who acts like this is a “russian bot” or whatever, because we can’t deny that this is an issue.

you can support decolonization and call for an end to the genocide without spouting genocidal rhetoric towards another group of people. if there’s one fucking thing we should know, it’s that you can’t solve oppression with oppression. and for those who say “but we’re just talking about israelis, not jewish people as a whole!” that doesn’t make it any better. you’re not absolving yourself by deciding an entire population of people doesn’t get to be human; you’re just contributing to the same sort of rhetoric that gets people killed, regardless of how they identify. and if you’re okay with that, then you really need to reevaluate what you say you stand for.

if you really care about human rights, you can’t pick and choose who should get them. do better.
